As I write this EQ Blog right now I have just completed all of the exhausting pages needed to register my "EQ Blog" on the Technorati list of Worlds All Time Greatest Blogs!!! If it goes through, (I'm currently #HYB5535TYW3R on their waiting list to be approved) If and when I get approved, I will also be eligible to "Be Nominated" for The 2014 Weblog Awards, or "Bloggies"!!!!! So, things might be looking up for folks who have been following me for quite a long time now, and I know a few of you have!!! In fact I have now had quite a lot of people call, text, and E-Mail me asking when and where the Major Earthquake will be striking that THEY are expecting will follow that huge landfall of Super Typhoon Haiyan at the Philippines!!!

There have been a number of medium sized earthquakes worth mentioning in recent hours! Probably the biggest and by far most important would be the 4.9 that struck about 50 Miles South of Cebu City, Philippines with 4 Felt Reports from that Major City that is currently also among the largest affected by the landfall of that Big Super Typhoon!!! Of course there was the 6.6 up in the remote islands of Russia and 1700 Miles NNE of Tokyo, but apparently did not affect anybody.
Finally while we wait and watch for something mostly that will affect us personally, (in the U.S.) there is quite a lot going on in Oklahoma including now many earthquakes in the 2 and 3 range and I will try to have an update but right now MUST say there is a lot of Major Earthquake Energy going on and Oklahoma could end up getting a Major Strike of some sort before this is all over, just sayin.' ALSO, you will recall New Delhi being in the immediate cross hairs of that landfall of Severe Tropical Cyclone Phailin back on October, 12, 2013 and a town called Delhi was just hit yesterday by a series of earthquakes as well. New Official Prediction: California 7.9 to 9.1 JUST FILED!!! Also BIG EQ ALERT: Bangkok, Bangladesh, Indonesia!!!

The damage reports that are coming in from the Philippines are far beyond what I had expected having checked out those regions on Google Earth prior to the windstorm making landfall there. Some of the regions are like a hundred miles or more apart and all reporting major damage and so it looks like the path of this Huge Super Typhoon might actually be like 200 or 300 Miles across and drag all the way across several different islands of the Philippines for almost a thousand miles!!! Now having also just made landfall at Vietnam where 500,000 people were evacuated and there will also be a lot of damage there, too! While that will also produce more potential earthquake energy, the windspeeds were not quite over 100 and so the earthquake resultants should not reach 6 Richters, more likely one or two good 5.5's up in the Siberia Region.

Relief Arriving in Philippines!!! MAJOR Earthquake Will Now Be Out There, Somewhere!!! Sorry To Say!
The latest on the Super Typhoon is that they are projecting the deaths to be in the 10,000 range and I finally found the size of the storm surge and it was reported as 40 feet, or to the tops of the coconut trees! Very sorry right now for all those affected by this huge windstorm that has done major damage to that Philippino Region, but even more sorry to have to say that we also now have to watch for where the next Major Earthquake might strike because of the small correlation of Major Earthquakes following the landfall of huge windstorms and it is most unfortunate that the size of Yolanda (Local name for this Super Typhoon) and the devestating amount of damages it has done will most certainly be moving the tectonic plates and first in line will be Bangkok with Micronesia having already got a 5 Richters Shaker! So there could be even more such action out in those islands such as Kiribati and Tuvalu, but Andaman and Nicobar Islands are along that line, too. And as of this writing I did not calculate the exact epicenter of the potential Bangkok or Thailand Earthquake due to it possibly being up in the mountains along the Himilayan Arc. I'll try to have that tomorrow and hope that won't be to late to announce it.
Finally, I'm sorry to choose Cebu City for this last story, but my regular readers already know there was an earthquake there a few weeks ago and that they might possibly expect more to shake there at some point in the future and just sayin' that with all this going on it is always most unfortunate that the timing of an earthquake does just always seem to just come along like in the middle of all that is already going on in that region! 5.2 at Micronesia Just Offshore from Philippines Landfall of Super Typhoon!!! East Bay Frisco, 3.0!!! WATCH For Lots More!!!
Of course as I was writing all out my initial list of places that looked like they might be in some immediate danger from possible Major Earthquake Energy as the result of the landfall of Super Typhoon Haiyan, while I did at least remember to mention the Philippines themselves, I saw but did not write down Micronesia and today that was where the 5.2 Richters Earthquake struck. Checking on the location due to it being just offshore from the exact spot of landfall of Typhoon Haiyan, I noticed the Micronesia area might have also been an earlier landfall of this huge Super Typhoon and found out I was right. Although thankfully there were no deaths and I was not able to catch what the windspeeds were on the day it crossed over that region, it did do a lot of damage there just the same!
However the reason I am including it in todays EQ Blog is due to the line of brand new potential Major Earthquake Energy passing directly through it and as I said back in 2011 prior to the now great Christchurch Earthquake. . . . . the Major Earthquake Energy is going the other direction!!! So we should first watch for MORE than a 5.2 out at Micronesia and that region and still around the immediate area of The Philippines and those very shaky Chocolate Mountains where they had a 7.2 at Bohol Island near Cebu City, Philippines in October and you can still see that story @ http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/philippines-7-2-magnitude-earthquake-kills-4-article-1.1485739 JUST SAYIN' that there is the possibility that like Christchurch, NZ. . . another HUGE Earthquake could strike Philippines or Cebu City in the coming hours and like Christchurch it could be more serious than the first one was. Also, this one has the added potential of going as high as say 8 Richters! I actually have 8.3 as the high number but hopefully that number won't apply to this region?
Don't forget the actual line itself will STILL continue on over towards Bangkok, Thailand and that general vicinity, although I searched and did not find any earthquakes that had struck Bangkok directly recently only ones nearby that shook Bangkok, so we might watch for something like that, too! The huge shaker that followed in front of that tectonic plate movement AFTER Christchurch 2011. . . . . was the 2011 JAPAN Earthquake!!!
Northern California had a 4.7 this morning, too, that was quite a wake up call considering we are watching for a 7.6 to 8.3 Richters sized Earthquake to strike!!! And around the Pacific Tectonic Plate is very much a player in all of this, too, as well as Germany, France, and perhaps Portugal or Azores??? Be Watching and Be Prepared for this one!!! EQ Guy

195 Mph Super Typhoon Haiyan Makes Landfall at Philippines!!! HUGE Major Earthquake WILL Follow!!!
It probably won't be as fast as the last one that made landfall in this same general region where they almost immediately had like a 7.7 that struck out in the middle of Pakistan with that new island that formed, but we are definitely looking at equally as big of earthquake resultant from todays landfall of Super Typhoon Haiyan at the Philippines with windspeeds at 195 and gusts recorded as high as 235 miles per hour!!! For now the globe reading from this biggest windstorm in history look like it could be a straight line directly to Bangkok!!! The shaky Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar region is situated just onshore from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands where they have just escaped an earlier similar sort of fate from the storm after storms this region has been getting pounded with over the recent weeks and months. Could be time for one to strike there instead of missing that region like they have been doing recently.
One thing that seems highly probable as of this writing and that is this Super Typhoon was so big, we will easily be looking at the next 7.7 plus for that region and there could still be up to 8.3 coming from Phailin's landfall at India on October 12, although all of that is probably up in Europe somewhere by now. 4.0 Off The Coast of Oregon! HUGE Super Typhoon Threatening Philippines!!!
Might not seem like much, but I will take a look at it just the same and see if there is anything else happening up in that region where I suppose you could say I have been talking about anyways. While a 4.0 isn't really that big of an earthquake. . . it just so happens that it occurred just hours after I mentioned in yesterdays EQ Blog that I would be writing and soon submitting a new update for that last Official Prediction that covered Montana, Wyoming, and Illinois. But thinking about it 325 miles west of Salem, Oregon is not exactly Montana, either.
So, let us continue to watch that region for what's going to happen next as well as over in the Himilayan Arc where it is still possible there is 7.6 to 8.3 Richters of Major Earthquake energy and I just happened to spot the new crescent moon in the sky tonight going on FULL! I will have updates of course on that situation but until then remember it is in the Day 30 Range, I don't recall exactly which one it will be as you are reading this, but they are all pretty much days when something major could shake! So keep a watch on Portugal, France, and that general region you know!

Official Prediction Update Coming!!! Here's The Latest Chicago Earthquake Info!!!
Updating now on all the earthquake stuff currently going on around the world and starting with the huge 7.6 to 8.3 Richters of Major Earthquake Energy from that huge landfall of Typhoon Phailin at India. November 2 was Day 21 and November 12, 2013 will be Day 31 after that landfall and it is starting to be about enough days there to be more concerned something major could shake Europe, France, or Portugal, etc. November 5 will be Day 21 after the landfall at Japan of Typhoon Wipha and Day 22, will be Nov. 6, Day 23 will be Nov. 7, 2013 and these are three very important day numbers for earthquake energy traveling that route towards Montana, and Wyoming as well as the very shaky Illinois!!! Going to put the blame for that 3.7 at LaGrange/McCook, Illinois on the landfall of Man-Yi which would have been around Day 43 or very near the same number of days following the landfall of Hurricane Katrina the Islamabad Earthquake struck.

Chicago Earthquake Was Originally a 3.7 Downgraded. COULD be a LOT More Coming!
Finally solved the issue with the cement-mixer driving past the house and the ground shaking violently. . . unlike the usual ground might vibrate for a big truck. In one of those scenes where you think about this during the very late hours of the night I came up with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4!!! That's IT!!! The "Mental Note" that I was talking about in my earlier EQ Blog from early today. The time! It was 1, 2, 3, 4 a/k/a 12:34pm!!! I remember it now because I routinely look at the exact time when I feel the ground really shake a lot and yesterday the clock said 1234 and at that instant changed to 12:35 but I knew what I saw and just didn't write it down so the result was I thought it was forgotten forever, until I remembered it! Checked exact moment of earthquake this morning and it is 12:35. Haven't decided yet if I should write out a report on the USGS Website, but I suppose I should take my own advice and write it! Like I tell other people you know.

3.2 Richters Strikes Near Chicago, Illinois!!! WHO Will Be Shaking NEXT??? Chicago? Montana? California???
Closed a bank early, ceiling tiles fell in a hot dog stand, vase shattered, drawers opened, glass shattered, damage to hardwood floors, items fell off walls and racks and at least one pipe burst and water came shooting out like a fountain!!! THAT is today's "Major" Earthquake that struck McCook, Illinois just a few miles west of beautiful downtown Chicago and very near Downtown LaGrange! Of course so near me I want to file my own personal "Felt Report" on this one but unfortunately did not write down the time it struck while I was making my cup-a-soup and a cement mixer just so happened to also be driving past. However I did definitely know the ground shaking violently was NOT due to the cement mixer out front. . . instead I just watched the USGS for something to show up until it came time for me to drive down there to my bank at which time nobody mentioned it there. I also notice the town where I got gas on my way home tonight had at least one felt report from Lake In The Hills!!!
Here is the sum total of all Felt Reports from that big 3.2 Near LaGrange, Illinois today: http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2013/11/32-near-chicago-with-about-75.html Loves Park, Illinois and Kenosha, Wisconsin. . . both very near my location are noticably on that list, but as I said, I would have to have written down the exact time and I suppose at the time it struck I only made a "Mental Note" of it which in this case will not be "Sufficent Evidence" for a report:)
If one of the comments in one of the stories is true (You'll have to do a search under Chicago Earthquake to get the story) then this could be the New Madrid Fault coming to life, although a succeeding comment seems to disagree with that statement, do note that I did extend the alert for New Madrid Here: http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2013/09/official-prediction-for-major.html NOW through November due to the landfall of Typhoon Wipha following basically the same track as whatever one was until Oct. 22. Could easily be a piece of that earthquake energy passing through Illinois in which case we should continue to watch MORE because I suppose Chicago could be about due or overdue for a big 6 or 7 Richters Major Earthquake!!!
Also be watching around the Pacific Tectonic Plate for more signs that the 7.6 to 8.3 is still out there and these two events we are watching are not connected. And they are debating if todays Chicago earthquake is or was connected to a quarry explosion that apparently happened just a second or two before the earthquake. If one of the comments in one of the stories is true (You'll have to do a search under Chicago Earthquake to get the story) then this could be the New Madrid Fault coming to life, although a succeeding comment seems to disagree with that statement, do note that I did extend the alert for New Madrid Here: http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2013/09/official-prediction-for-major.html NOW through November due to the landfall of Typhoon Wipha following basically the same track as whatever one was until Oct. 22. Could easily be a piece of that earthquake energy passing through Illinois in which case we should continue to watch MORE because I suppose Chicago could be about due or overdue for a big 6 or 7 Richters Major Earthquake!!!
Also be watching around the Pacific Tectonic Plate for more signs that the 7.6 to 8.3 is still out there and these two events we are watching are not connected. And they are debating if todays Chicago earthquake is or was connected to a quarry explosion that apparently happened just a second or two before the earthquake. 4.5 Offshore Eureka, California!!! Oringinally Posted at 5.0 Richters! Could Always Be MORE Coming!!!
It appears this medium sized earthquake that must have struck right around midnight Central Time was originally posted as a 5.0 Richters and downgraded at some point to a 4.5 as it now appears on the list of recent earthquakes. There were two other small earthquakes at 2.0 and 2.5 in the hour that followed at Hollister and Coalinga, California.
No matter if it was a 4.5 or a 5.0 that struck up there at that location around the Triple Plate Junction, it was a big enough earthquake that I want to surely continue watching for MORE earthquakes to strike especially due to that one striking exactly inside of my "New Moon Window" nevermind the fact that I haven't actually been following the possible correlation with the New Moon too long yet at this point. Like I say it DOES seem like there is a connection with the New Moon and I have now been following the Full Moon's correlation for some time. There could still be an even bigger earthquake yet to follow before Monday is over and we could see more earthquake energy out there at the TPJ yet today, too!
While the hours of the November 2013 New Moon will continue through Monday, I have to also say there may be all of 7.6 to 8.3 Richters out there and this 5 Richters at Eureka certainly DID come from somewhere, didn't it! There could be MORE where that came from, too! And I just heard mention that Hurricane Sonia could be the next to strike the West Coast at the Baja California Penninsula very soon!!! Be Watching because a lot could happen, yet!!! EQ Guy

New Moon Alert!!! 3 Shakers at Okinawa, Japan!!! MORE Coming? And Heeeeere's Umphrey's McGee!!!
As we continue to be watching for that 7.6 to 8.3 Richters that is looking like it is probably still out there waiting to strike somewhere, there have now been at least 3 Medium Sized Earthquakes at Okinawa, Japan. Those there are a 5.4, 4.5 and a 4.7 all just a few hours ago at 06:16, 06:29, and 06:54 in that order, and I guess that's Central Time, too, whether it matters that I had to change my clocks this morning back one hour for Central STANDARD Time now that Daylight Savings Time ended early this morning at some point, too!
Exact Moment of the November 2013 New Moon was early today at 7:50am my time, 5:50am Pacific and please do not even ask me if thats Standard or Daylight Time. . . yet, it's somewhere in that area that I will have to figure all out in the coming days. You see I will need to now switch from subtracting 5 hours from Universal Time or UTC to methinks now subtracting 6 hours? And the important part right now is that the New Moon is out there right this moment along with an enormous amount of potential earthquake energy that seems to continue very much making its mark out there around the Pacific!!!
So continue to watch, and keep an eye on that West Coast and California mostly just due to the fact that all this is going on and West Coast and California could very much stand at least a small chance of getting some shaking!

5.8 Easter Island!!! Pacific Tectonic Plate Continues To Move!!! Who's Next?
Just in this 5.8 now striking 300 miles Northwest of Easter Island is sure a glimpse of what all is going on out there in the middle of that very shaky Pacific Tectonic Plate and as most of you who've been following all of this probably know it means that earthquake energy could be heading for our West Coast. . . among other places as we've surely been seeing all this week!
Could be some of that 7.6 to 8.3 Richters still out there and 5.8 is a BIG sign that there is a LOT of movement out there! Let us continue to be watching to see what is next after all of the others including the 6.2 at Constitucion, Chile, and the 6.3 at Taiwan and finally yesterdays 6.6 at Coquimbo, Chile! Please note that these are NOT your "Garden Variety" of Pacific Earthquakes!!! Rather, we must be watching very closely because there is still a HUGE Major Earthquake out there haunting the Pacific Tectonic Plate and has been rocking consistantly between west and east. . . with the latest just now in between and possibly headed back for the West edge of the Pacific or Indonisea? 6.6 Richters Strikes Chile!!! WATCH For More!!! Especially California and West Coast!!! 7.6 to 8.3!!!
If you're following my EQ Blog closely than you already know we were watching for this one or something like this to strike at any moment!!! I see my last two EQ Blog headlines were that 6.2 at Constitucion, Chile and then the 6.3 at Taiwan and I seem to recall saying to watch out because the next one should probably be over here on our side of the Pacific Tectonic Plate and then my phone chimed at just after 6pm tonight my time with the 6.6 South of Coquimbo, Chile that as of this writing has no damage reports. However if you recall the story I ran the link to yesterday, then you already know this region is very shaky. I also checked the Google Map that accompanies the USGS Report for this earthquake and found a whole entire hillside filled with houses all the way to the top just a few miles from where the epicenter is marked on that map. I hope there were no injuries in that neighborhood nestled along the pacific coast there with a great beach and lots of sailboats, etc., but am sorry to say they were awfully close to that epicenter and am not sure how bad a 6.6 might turn out to be there.
In my search I also found the 2010 Chile Earthquake that struck on Feburary 27, 2010 and recalled having been writing about that one in the days and hours before it shook! The February 2010 Full Moon exact moment was February 28, 2010 at 16:39UTC or 10:39am Central. . . however the February 2010 Full Moon WINDOW would have begun on February 27 at 10:39am Central/8:39 Pacific and the exact moment of that big Chile Earthquake of 8.8 Richters was on February 27 at 6:34UTC and 3:34 Local time in Chile.
