Always curious about earthquakes that strike around New Madrid, Missouri if nothing else just because it could always be a major one coming, there!!! This one had one very noticable felt report from "Alton, Illinois" and several miles away to the north!!! However due to it being like 2:22am in the early morning hours not much in the way of felt reports! Here's that one and you already heard the felt report, so:
2.5 - 6km WSW of Ridgely, Tennessee, 2017-02-16 08:22
Nearby Places:
Kennedy, Missouri 3.2 km (2.0 mi) ESE
Dyersburg, Tennessee 28.6 km (17.8 mi) NNW
Kennett, Missouri 44.6 km (27.7 mi) E

The list of nearby places didn't explain the location of this next one, it just gave names of a lot of other islands and so I'll just tell you these islands are basically all off the coast of Ventura County just to the north of Malibu enough that you can see most of them from anywhere in Malibu. Oh, and just east of the "Rodriguez Seamount" too if you're familiar with that there. Here's just the USGS Report:
2.0 - 19km SSE of Santa Rosa Is., CA
2017-02-16 09:44:14 UTC 33.785°N 120.041°W 16.1 km depth
And these two are interesting because they don't get them too often that say Pearblossum on them, a town situated along a shortcut between L.A. and L.V.
0.5 5km SSW of Pearblossum, CA 2017-02-16 05:12
1.1 6km SSW of Pearblossum, CA 2017-02-16 04:12
It is possible, just possible that those earthquakes are telling us a major one might strike at a brand-new and possibly more unusual location such as maybe around Santa Monica, or more up towards Ventura County maybe. That islands region does also get them, but can't honestly say a 2.0 indicates anything there! So now watch all those places, too, including maybe Ventura County!!! And Thank-You Again for Reading!!! Good-Weekend!!! EQ Guy
