This big earthquake at Vanuatu origianly had a "Tsumani Alert" that was later canceled and no trace of anythng about a tsunami actually happening!  Seems most likely just an offshore shaker in a region where such an alert must be issued until more is known, but apparently no tsunami, or not enough that it came worth mention in the end:

Lot of the talk about this weekends upcoming landfall of Hurricane Henri at around the Long Island, New York Region is centering around the fact that the Full Moon is going to be a factor in all of it!  Full Moon will also be a factor in some shaking that may already take place, too, so be watching!  And in the meantime am very sorry for all the folks about to be involved in both landfall of Now Cat-3 Hurricane Grace at near Mexico City, also chance of major earthquakes there, and landfall of Tropical Storm at best, Henri around New York City, Connecticut, and Massachusetts!!!!!  God Bless!!!!!
