In the wake of big 6.8 Morocco Earthquake I went and checked the globe and turned a lot of old pages going back into the earlier months of this year. Looking like Morocco Earthquake could have been connected to Big Hurricane Lee across Atlantic and initial contact with Caribbean Tectonic Plate where at one time Hurricane Irma made a similar contact bout the same region and came to precede an 8 Magnitude Oaxaca Earthquake. So, today re-cehcked the globe in that same or the other direction from Morocco and today must add Oaxaca, Chiapas, Guatemala, and El Salvador for big time or possibly similar shakers to Morocco! Note those Central America Regions are also in line for result of landfall from Hurricane Idalia. Now. . . . .

Hi, EQ Guy Here!!! Late Friday last week a 6.8 Magnitude Major Earthquake struck Morocco with currently at press time upwards of thousand dead, there!!! Grand Total of 1100 Felt Reports came in to our USGS including 155 from Marrakesh and it was also felt in Seville Spain, Lisbon Portugal, and Algeria!!! Lot of damage reports and buildings destroyed in Marrakesh where they’d said never had such a big Major Earthquake in upwards of a hundred years, there!!!
There was also a 6.2 Richters Earthquake at Coquimbo, Chile, felt in Santiago, Copiapo, Valparaiso, as well as in Cordoba, Argentina!!!
and a 6.6 Richters Earthquake struck the Kermadec Islands of New Zealand felt in Palmerton, Auckland, Napier, and Wellington!!
And Northern California had a 5.0 that struck 49 miles from Redding, California, and was felt in Paso Robles, Emeryville, Berkeley, Sacramento, Truckee, Redding, and Shasta Lake, there!!!
This week we had thee biggest landfall of any big windstorm in a long time!!! Super Typhoon Saola made landfall west of Hong Kong with winds 140 and gusts 160 Miles Per Hour and That should now be followed by one of the biggest Major Earthquakes in long time for that nearby Mountainous Region!! Be watching for 7.8 or 8 on the Richter Scale for Myanmar, Nepal, and Kashmir!! This is not a drill, we could be looking at a BIG Earthquake!!
And don‘t forget Culpepper-Virginia, East Brunswick-New Jersey, and Rockaway-New Jersey

Some of these big windstorms, as I've discovered since my very early beginning days of my research, some are followed immediately by big earthquakes! Such is the case, or seems to be, with Morocco! In fact it was only mid-week last week we watched Hurricane Lee at CAT-5 and suddenly reduced to a CAT-3. . . . . leaving me wonder what the reason for that was and what the seismic result might be! When just hours later that Morocco Shaker hit although it took me the full length of my studies to put two and two together and connect the two!!! Now watching for even more shaking the result of continued movement of the Caribbean Tectonic Plate!!
