2.3 Near Mt. Vernon, Illinois!!! Keep Watching Chicago Region. . . And California!!!

I know the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Parade was on Friday. . . but that Illinois Earthquake just now hit early on Sunday Morning! So far they just had a 2.3 in the region between Springfield, Illinois and Evansville, Indiana on the Illinois side of the border down there, there could be more coming but it looks like it is probably that earthquake energy heading north from the landfall of Hurricane Barbara at Mexico around May 30. Be aware that there could yet be more coming, Illinois and Chicago! Not real BIG, but more of those "Garden Variety" Illinois type earthquakes. . . and one could strike very near the Chicago Region! A few more days left yet on that alert, like say middle of July.

The swarms, swarms, swarms around ALL of California are continuing, too! With the latest being late yesterday with a lot of them all in a few hours at Niland, Salton City and a few more at Anza! 2.8 Livermore/Hayward at 7:38am Saturday! 9:38 Central Time! Watch California! They're Getting A Lot of Shakers!!!

Might not have stopped to write this morning except that just as I was about to sign off due to not really that much happening as far as earthquakes are concerned, a 2.8 just struck at Livermore, California near San Francisco and 20 miles East of Hayward where we are watching especially close for something Major to shake there at any moment! Tomorrow will be Day 30 after that El Reno, OK Tornado and the chances just seem to get a little higher as we get up into the thirty day range after one of those huge windstorms as the above O.P. fully explains! Therefore it is not too much of a surprise that something huge might be starting to shake around Frisco and Hayward, California!!! Too many to report all of them here, but among the biggest ones just in recent hours include that 3.5 yesterday at Anza with many aftershocks, a whole other swarm at Julian, several at Soledad up on the San Andreas Fault close to Monterey, a 2.5 Offshore near Carlsbad/La Jolla, a 1.8 right at Vandenburg Village near Lompoc and Santa Maria, and at least one more in the Pacifica series that has been shaking since late this week a mile or so from Daly City and Frisco right there on the San Andreas Fault, too! Phone rang loudly coming home from todays Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Parade on the Metra Train! It was CAquake and Anza, California had just got a 3.5 Richters Earthquake! Been quite a long time since any California Earthquakes at all, so I was kind of shocked when I saw that. . . and sorry I could not be on right away and was not able to update all my EQ Blog followers with all of what was going on out in California! 6.0 Richters TOTAL at Hawthorne, NV! Tiny Swarm at China Lake, CA! 2.5 Just Over 25 Miles North of Vallejo!!!

Vallejo just came in as I was starting to compose tonights EQ Blog so I do not have too much on that one besides that it is starting to look like San Francisco is getting A LOT of earthquake energy considering that the straight line actually went through Eureka. I would still say Eureka or Triple Plate Junction/Coos Bay might still be more susceptible for this earthquake due to trusting my straight line first. It is my opinion that the swarm at Mammoth Lakes demonstrated that there is a lot of major earthquake energy on the move. . . just do not know exactly where it's moving to. Here is a great story about a similar event that took place a few days before my Great Quake Chase 2011 of October 12 @ http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2011/10/09/small-quake-shakes-vallejo/ If memory serves me correctly there was also somewhat of a series of small shakers there, too, and that 5.9 eventually struck at Offshore Coos Bay, Oregon at 8:15pm the night of the October 2011 Full Moon on October 12, 2011. Although it was later downgraded to a 5.3 I still like to say it remains one of the largest to strike that region in recent history.

We now continue to be getting LARGER earthquakes albeit moving along at a slow process! One today up in the mountains of Washington is just a bit unusual considering we are watching for just such a quakes getting bigger thing @ http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/uw60546146#summary OR that has to be about the third or fourth 4 Magnitude earthquake in this now continuing series that I am probably not the only one watching! I've now watched and blogged several of these and want everybody to know the big one could hit at any moment and does not necessarily need to go through too many 5 Magnitude earthquakes for a 6 or 7 Richters Earthquake to strike somewhere like the heart of San Francisco! Now a 2.7 and 2.0 North of Hayward, California! Keep Watching California!!!

Because there continue to be these two major alerts for both the North and South of California, i double-checked all of the numbers in relation to each of these two alerts and here is what I came up with. While a 2.7 and 2.0 North of Hayward and several much closer ones may not look like much to a lot of people, when they strike in the midst of a major alert I am forced to use them to try and calculate what exactly might happen next in a method that I hope might become universal at some point in the future with the ultimate goal being to track a major earthquake right down to the epicenter a matter of minutes before the earthquake strikes such as was done in Haicheng, China back in 1975.

The alert for Los Angeles is based on the fact that I only most recently began to experiment with a possible correlation between the path on the ground of a Major Tornado and Major Earthquakes possibly following them. In this instance we are tracking potential earthquake energy from the tornado at Moore, Oklahoma of May 20, 2013 and if I employ my usual system that has worked for a lot of years with Major Hurricanes, then the final day of this alert should be early next week. This could mean something could still shake on Day 42 or like Sunday or Monday due to this being a correlation with Sandy/Offshore San Diego, and Bret/Hector Mines both of which struck on Day 42 after major windstorm. Therefore please continue watching that Los Angeles area through this weekend and up until July 3. In the meantime there WAS a 6.6 I think downgraded to a 6.4 at the Mid-Atlantic that I just located on my globe EXACTLY on the straight line out ahead of that Moore, OK Tornado in a manner identical to how the Antiqua Earthquake was situated out ahead of the El Reno Tornado so I want to say it is possible but not entirely likely the 6.4 Mid-Atlantic could have exhausted all of that earthquake energy. There is just that chance that it was enough earthquake energy to shake at the Mid-Atlantic as it passed through and that big of earthquake may still be heading for the South of L.A.

If you followed all of that then I can just add to continue watching Eureka, and San Francisco, California for the same reason without going through all the details of the line from El Reno. Remember that I am concentrating on California, but all of this could also effect the coast of Africa, Australia, Kiribati, and countries at the top of the Himilayan Arc and Japan. I have so many friends in California that follow my earthquake writing that I consider it very necessary for me to keep a watch on Southern and Northern California every minute that I have available until these alerts pass, and am sorry I'm not watching the other side of the Earth as closely. 4.1 Richters Alaska! 3.0 Offshore San Diego! 2.5 Bremerton, Washington! JUST IN: 2.7 Struck 35 Miles North of Hayward!!!

Not exactly a situation where nothing is happening as far as a 4.1 up in Alaska, but neither is a 3.0 at San Diego. I might not have mentioned a 2.5 at Bremerton, Washington if it wasn't for the fact that as you know I always tend to look stuff like this up on Wikipedia and on that one I came up with some sort of a base for big ships that was just newly constructed up in that region in like 2004, and it looks like this earthquake struck just a few miles from it. Although I am not familiar with bases being built up around Olympia, Washington nor the area so I could not even guess these milages, they did say it can dry-dock an aircraft carrier, though. It reminded me of an unrelated story about The Great White Fleet @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_White_Fleet and how it just so happened to be a fleet of ships traveling around the world in the year 1907, 1908, and 1909 right at the exact moment of the 7.1 Messina, Italy Earthquake of December 28, 1908 killing between 100,000 and 200,000 people @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1908_Messina_earthquake I'm telling this story from memory but seems like this fleet was just entering the Suez Canal and about to cross over towards Italy when the earthquake struck. . . and one or some of the ships helped out although that portion of the story was not from the above Wikipedia story, it is just an old story about earthquakes from my past studies somewhere.

3.0 Earthquake near San Diego could mean something, but as that July 3 date gets closer and closer I will have some updated information about what day we can expect something to shake. . . or start thinking about it being passed. Couple Shakers Around San Francisco Bay!!! Watch That Hayward Fault!!!

There were a few noteworthy earthquakes during the night including Calpatria which is down at the south shore of the Salton Sea and like 3 smaller shakers occuring around the East Bay of San Francisco Bay area. Seems like overall that might be a lot of activity when you consider that we ARE watching that area for something major to shake, but will all of this new and sort of small seismic activity eventually lead to that next great Hayward Fault Earthquake? One angle on that theory is that we would have to keep watching for those small earthquakes to get bigger. . . but it is a fact that it doesn't always work that way isn't it. Therefore be watching downtown Hayward, California very close in the coming hours and days because I'm pretty sure it is a fact that there will be a major earthquake in that region again SOMEDAY. Hopefully not today.

New Zealand also got like a 4.8 during the night and if you check out the EQ Blog entry I wrote late last night. . . . . of course I discussed New Zealand, but that's why a lot of you are here reading this because you want to know when and where the next major earthquakes are going to strike! Several Shakers in 3 Range!!! Getting Bigger??? Blackhawks Win Stanley Cup!!!!!

Good day as far as sports are concerned! Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Team just won Stanley Cup! Beat Boston 3 to 2 in Game 6!!! Still an EQ Alert for Chicago, too, just sayin'. There have now been several Earthquakes in the 3 Range! Just a few of those include a 3.0 at Thermal, a 2.8 South of Eureka, and a 2.9 at Cabazon near Palm Springs all in California and a 3.0 in Oklahoma. You could say that they are getting slightly bigger, but the important thing here is that and they are still getting kind of a swarm now at Thermal which indicates there is still earthquake energy out there. The days after those big full moons have correlated with at least one big New Zealand Earthquake and I suppose you could say might cause one again today or tomorrow since New Zealand is out there and there is still that earthquake energy heading in their direction! But it wouldn't surprise me if L.A., S.F., or Eureka up in Northern California would get something. There was a 6.6 Richers earthquake that shook the middle of the Atlantic this afternoon downgraded to a 6.4 @ http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/usc000hzfk#summary and therefore when we combine that with the Kinston Earthquake from this morning we know something is very much still going on out there and that there could still be Major Earthquake Energy coming!!! 2.1 Kinston, North Carolina!!! Kinston Minor League Team Moved! Manny Played There!!!

As of this writing being just after what I might call the end of the June Super Moon Full Moon it doesn't look like there was anything too major that took place to speak of, that is unless you are around the small town of Kinston, North Carolina where they received a 3.1 Shaker just about an hour before the end of that window!!! SEE @ http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/se062413a#summary You will see that while the window was to end at 7:32am Eastern Time. . . . . this one struck at 7:04am Eastern Time and exactly 28 Minutes before the actual end of the exact Super Moon Full Moon Window! As of this writing I was not able to find anything written up that I could put a link to in this EQ Blog, but rest assured something will turn up at some point. Kinston is one of the many towns I worked on Construction jobs in and actually did a fairly good long stretch in that town while keeping up with the "Kinston Indians" Minor League Baseball Team. Among other teams they occasionally played the "Durham Bulls" and I still have a T-Shirt with the Indians logo and probably the entire team in a set of Minor League Baseball cards featuring none other than Beau Allred!!! There are still several continuing swarms all around California that I would call an UNUSUAL AMOUNT of earthquake energy and I want to also remind all my California people that the alert for a potential Major Earthquake is nowhere near done and will run through July 13 as stated in my Official Prediction seen right here at EQ Blog-2: http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2013/06/official-prediction-for-major-northern.html L.A. is extended in Paragraph 10 there until July 3, 2013 and San Francisco-Eureka runs through July 13, 2013. Super Moon Runs Through Monday Morning!!! Major Earthquake Could Still Shake California!!!!!

Had a lot of time to think about this one today while taking the walking tour/tour of homes around Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and came up with the fact the the :02 after 4:32 as in 4:32:02 would have to mean HUNDREDTHS of a second since that first digit or the "0" in :02 would have to be TENTHS of a second, right? Therefore the earthquake that struck at Mammoth Lakes at exactly 4:32:02 would have struck TWO HUNDREDTHS of a second after the exact moment of the Full Moon Supermoon! Got that straightened out! Got a couple great pics of that nearly 3 hour walking tour, too, as well as several of tonights Summer Solstice Sunset which was probably actually yesterday but due to it having been overcast the last two days it was tonight in my region! Finally there haven't been any special earthquakes in the last few hours of the Super Moon Full Moon Window besides a 5.2 Costa Rica, but the window runs through Monday Morning at 4:32am Pacific and I like to run a couple hours beyond that for extra measure so give the full force of this Super Moon until 7 or 8am on the West Coast because at that time we just go back to watching for earthquakes the same old way, anywayz!!! With the usual window that runs like through Mid-July and don't forget Chicago and Illinois with an alert that also runs about the same number of days into July.

There was a 2.1 14 Miles North of Tehachapi, and a small swarm of just over 10 Richters at Thermal, California but NOT one single Major Earthquake of 10 Richters you know. A 1.8 just struck at Mono Lake North of Mammoth Lakes as I am writing and this reminds me to say a Major Earthquake could strike Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Eureka at any moment tonight or early Monday Morning!!! 40 Richters at Mammoth Lakes!!! 3 Shakers Near Hayward/San Francisco!!! MORE Coming!!!

Along with the other 32 Earthquakes in todays Early Morning Swarm at Mammoth Lakes, California was one that struck almost at the exact moment of the Super Moon Full Moon!!! In addition to the fact that so far the two largest ones were a 2.7 at 4:15am and a 2.5 at 4:42am. . . there was a 1.9 at 4:34:02am PDT while the exact moment of the Super Moon Full Moon was at 4:34!!! And that part is kind of new to me. . . is it :02 Nanoseconds? If so that one was off by 2 Nanoseconds or thousandths of a second if any body is keeping track!!!

Three shakers struck up around the Hayward, California area with one of them being barely a mile from the Lucky Store in Beautiful Downtown Hayward where I stopped the day I was Rollerblading through there during my now famous "Quake Chase 2011" also a Full Moon Earthquake at 8:15pm the night of the October 2011 Full Moon of October 12, 2011. The two others were a 1.8 East Foothills 4 Miles from Alum Rock and 9 Miles from San Jose, the other just moments ago at LaFayette a 1.8 10 Miles North of San Leandro and probably like 12 or 13 Miles North of Hayward, too! Just want to say the Hayward Fault right there is another Major Earthquake that the experts KNOW is going to cause a Major Earthquake again someday! Don't forget that there was also one at Rancho Cucamonga, at least 3 at Fontana, several at Borrego Springs and a few more at Coachella, Julian, La Quinta, Marina del Rey and Coalinga and probably even more worth writing about but I'm hurrying to get this EQ Blog posted to let EVERYBODY in California know there could be MORE Earthquakes and something MAJOR Could Shake at any moment!!! Super Moon High Overhead!!! WHO Is Going To Shake??? Tonight? Sunday? Sunday Night?????

Seen a Great Pic of Supermoon on Twitter! @ https://twitter.com/LiveMike909/status/348663362776887297/photo/1 Should be high in the sky tonight. . . but I got overcast skys, so? Staying up late and watching the latest earthquakes super close for something Major to Shake! So far a 4.8 struck offshore at Mazatlan, Mexico and I looked that location up earlier and discovered a series of islands where a penal colony had been built in 1905! Lot of other earthquake stuff going on, though, including that I happened to see Carson City, Nevada also had a swarm during all of the recent California Earthquake Swarms of this week. Might have been somewhat smaller, but I did notice when checking that some of the Carson City shakers DID appear on the list of latest earthquakes from like yesterday or Friday so that could either indicate Nevada might get something Major, or that could contribute to a Major Shaker on the other side of the mountains there in California. What I do know for sure is that there have been a lot of swarms and that we are looking up in the sky right this moment at a Super Moon! Supposedly one of the largest of the year with the biggest high tides!

So continue to be watching for somebody, somewhere to get some of this Major Earthquake Energy with the exact moment of the Full Moon striking California at 4:32am Sunday Morning. . . . . and the Full Moon Window for June of 2013 continuing through very early Monday Morning at 4:32am plus an hour or two for extra measure say 5 or 6am.

Watch California very closely everybody mostly because they already have all of that potential earthquake energy heading for them and it is at best possible they could get a Major Earthquake TONIGHT!!! Or SUNDAY!!! Or Sunday Night!!! Be Prepared!!! EQ Guy

Super Moon Earthquake Window HAS BEGUN!!! Major Shaker WILL Probably Strike. . . Somewhere!!!

The June Full Moon Window started at exactly 4:32am Pacific time! So far as of this writing not much has happened but it is highly probable something WILL!!! Remember this is a SUPERMOON Full Moon and I consider it to be pretty much a SURE THING that there is going to be a Great Earthquake between now and late Sunday/Early Monday. With Major EQ Alerts and Official Predictions focusing on Los Angeles, Eureka, and San Francisco. . . there ARE going to be earthquakes but could hit a lot of other random places as well!!!!! Do not be surprised if one instead strikes, Vegas, Oklahoma, Mexico, Vancouver, Sumatra, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Alaska, or of course Kamchatka as well as the Himilayan Arc, Greece, Italy, France or just about any other majorly shaky place!

The two good examples that I have handy to show are the Fort Tejon Earthquake @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Tejon_earthquake which struck just North of Los Angeles at 7.9 Richters on January 9, 1857 at 8:20am Pacific Time with the exact moment of the January 1857 Full Moon being January 9, 1857 or about 4 hours, 48 minutes later at 1:08pm Pacific Time or well within what I today would call the January 1857 Full Moon Window. The other major correlation I have handy this morning although there are many more including Coos Bay 2011 you might already know about, is the Great Sumatra Earthquake struck at 00:58 UTC on December 26, 2004 and that months Full Moon was at exactly 15:07UTC on December 26, 2004 or around 15 hours later.
Time to be watching Los Angeles, Eureka, and San Francisco extra close for the next day or so because there is also Major Earthquake Energy heading directly for them in addition to the Supermoon bearing down on them as well!!!
