The two big games where there had BOTH been Major Earthquakes are the 1989 World Series Earthquake and also there was a Monday Night Football Game on December 22, 2003 with the 2003 Paso Robles Earthquake striking at 11:15am PST. Let me now say that we're now looking at a potential 7 Magnitude Super Bowl Earthquake in the San Francisco Bay Area and a lot of the same "Hoopla" that might have gone along with that World Series Game, and a Monday Night Game there, too! Next I want to note that BOTH of those two big Earthquakes were or would have been under Major Alerts! Especially Paso Robles since I even had already sent out my very first "Severe Winter Conditions EQ Alert" via E-Mail just days before that earthquake and World Series Earthquake was preceded about 20 days by the landfall of Hurricane Hugo at Charleston!!! Today a Huge alert as all my best readers know!!!
You have to imagine enormous crowds that go along with this ordeal and take ALL of that into consideration and on Sunday it just might come to equal these other two big San Francisco and California Earthquakes! Let's give us the whole day Sunday and into Monday for any effect the New Moon might have on this Big Alert for California and remember the alert continues on beyond the Super Bowl, it's just that the game falls right into the alert so we will need to watch there! And now with the February New Moon Window starting early Sunday Morning February 7 at 7:40am Pacific Time just a few hours BEFORE Kickoff Time in Santa Clara.
On NFL "Week 16" there was TWO Big Games there!!! Green Bay @ Oakland, AND Cincinnati @ San Francisco and the date was December 20, 2015, BOTH taking place in Bay Area, of course there was NO active EQ Alert at that time. So while that December 20 similar situation might look and feel urgent. . . the fact that there was NO alert and there was NO earthquake figures prominently!!! Although The Super Bowl may more resemble the big crowd from World Series and Monday Night Football. . . if "Weight On The Tectonic Plate" could be a factor here, too.
I want to note that TOO Big of a Major Earthquake around the San Francisco Bay Area could also disable such resources as "Twitter" and "Google" and probably many others for quite some time, too, and if this happens, I will try to just return here as soon as they are all up and running, again!!! Super Bowl Earthquake Coming!!!? Also Looks Like Existing "Official Prediction" Still In Effect!!!
It's just a little bit tense watching and waiting for a "Super Bowl Earthquake" to shake this weekend, but I do have to report that my phone rang early Tuesday with an earthquake up around Northern California! There have also been 2.1 Port Hueneme along with other quakes around the country including a fairly big 3.3 Maine felt all over the state of Maine, and a 4.9 Martinique or something like 29 Miles East of Martinique. We're now looking at a potential 7 Magnitude Super Bowl Earthquake in the San Francisco Bay Area . . . and with the February New Moon Window starting early Sunday Morning February 7 at 7:40am Pacific Time just a few hours BEFORE Kickoff Time in Santa Clara, and running through like Tuesday! Therefore this years Super Bowl Game will be played entirely inside of a New Moon Window and at the same time as there is a Major Earthquake Alert for that Region!

It's Looking Like Possible February New Moon San Francisco Super Bowl Earthquake Could Be Coming!!!

As we continue watching around Lima, Peru and as Day 43 approaches on January 27, I now want to add that in addition to January 27 actually having past. . . there was a 5.0 Richters Earthquake that struck over the weekend 37km East of Pucallpa, Peru the date being January 31, but due to unforeseen error missed Mondays EQ Blog. In any event let us keep watching even though there's been much seismic activity along these lines and even including the above 5.0 could well now be the sum of what we've been watching for saying it's not always one giant earthquake. . .rather occasionally lots of smaller ones can add up to the same amount of Earthquake Energy over the longer term such as we are currently at Day 52 on February 5, 2016 and still watch as this alert which originally followed landfall of Typhoon Melor at Philippines on December 14-15, 2015 and still continues through February. Perhaps this weekends New Moon could be a factor! Keep Watching Lima!
There was also a big earthquake to the north of Japan on a Russian island up that way, Kamchatka, about 7.2 Richters that might be an indication something is going on! Severe Blizzard Preceded Haiti and Eureka 2010 Earthquakes!!! 4.9 Richters Spain Earthquake! Big New Prediction?

While researching severe winters and blizzards and such, I came across this one listed at number 34 there! We're talking about the Severe Winter Conditions that preceded my "Official Prediction" that preceded Eureka 2010 and Haiti Earthquakes! Here's a pic that trys to describe what I was trying to say there:
Note that the illustration HAS the actual date listed on, and also note how much it looks like the pattern from what that recent blizzard must look like over a lot of the same area! Eureka 2010 and Haiti struck around Day 20 following the above! Day 20 after recent one will be February 11, with the January New Moon coming on February 8.

Sonic Booms Strike New Jersey!!! UPDATE: "Earthquake Minute" Struck on Friday!!!

Just before press time on todays EQ Blog it was revealed that those sonic booms were actually sonic booms! The result of testing being done offshore by Navy. Long story short here is the USGS detail of times and "Epicenters" on those several booms:
- 2 miles NNE of Hammonton, NJ
- 8 miles SSE of Jackson, NJ
- 11 miles East of Williamstown, NJ
- 13 miles SE of Pine Hill, NJ
- 37 miles S of Trenton, NJ

All of that now changed and unless something is still in here somewhere that I missed, then it's all about garden variety sonic booms! Or is it?

Second Day Straight of Just The Smallest Earthquakes Striking California!!! COULD This Be Something BIG!!!?
Todays big news is small earthquakes!!! Still can't understand the nature of such small earthquakes! LOTS of Severe Winter Conditions Equal LOTS of Major Earthquakes!!! Now Be Watching California!!! Also Watch East Coast For Earthquakes, Too!!!
ALL of the sum totals for tons of snow that they have now gotten out east will definately produce some major tectonic plate activity!!! It was just this sort of Severe Winter Conditions that preceded many other earthquakes such as especially Haiti Earthquake!!! Many, many Big California Earthquakes are included in this collection of shaking statistics!!! I could go all through the different numbers that I've been hearing, but in short it's looking like the most significant numbers that we will now have to be the most concerned about are in the 30 to 40 inches range. Watching continously for 36 inches. . . because knowing that equals 3 feet, but due to the fact that we're mostly concerned with the number of feet and not so much how much snow they got at Dullas, or Reagan, then just the range of 2 to 3 feet satisfys our purposes. Got lots of snow out East. . . and that will now equal more big earthquakes probably for California, but must say Oklahoma could end up getting some of the very first major movements here, too!
Another very important factor that we'll be watching for and SURELY be seeing in the not too distant future is some more immediate shaking right there at the epicenter of all the snowfall. I'm talking about a few of the places where all this snow has just fallen, also happening to already be on the list of shaky places! New Jersey, Richmond, Washington DC, and perhaps a few other places such as New York and the Carolinas MIGHT be inline for something like 5 Magnitude in the coming days and that when it happens, will usher in the big shakers more out towards the Tectonic Plate Boundary between North American and Pacific Tectonic Plates, or the earthquakes in California that we'll be watching for!!!

7.1 Richters Major Earthquake Near Anchorage, Alaska!!! Far East L.A. East of Barstow at Ludlow Is Shaking!!! PLUS: This Weeks Severe Winter "Earthquake Minute"!!!
Thought maybe this weeks "Earthquake Minute" would be the banner headline, that was before all of these struck throughout the day on Sunday! To begin with there was a 7.1 Richters apparently not too far from Anchorage because they've had hundreds of felt reports from that city!!! 6.6 Richters Earthquake Strikes Offshore Mexico!!! Right There On That Tectonic Plate Boundary With California Just North!!! Keep Watching!!! And Maybe "Earthquake Minute" Today!? Update: 7.1 Richters 162 Miles Southwest of Anchorage!!!

Having looked at all the other possible sources for such an earthquake as that 6.6 Richters Mexico Earthquake that struck 166 miles Southwest of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at around 10am Central Time on Thursday and am basically mostly seeing agreement with the same factors we're watching California for or Severe Winter Conditions! I suppose I could go back and double-check over the weekend all the data from H-Bomb Testing, but am thinking more along the lines that we had been talking snow in the Sierras! However now that you mention it, we did also initiate the whole H-Bomb conversation with California in the first place, didn't we? Therefore I suppose I should mention that any combination therein could ALSO produce untold amounts of Major Earthquake Energy such as in this case the 6.6 Mexico Earthquake!!! Not really knowing in the first place which source this could be, we do at least know for sure there's some SHAKING!!! So we must keep watching California as I'll discuss in my later today "Earthquake Minute"! Here's the felt report from 6.6 Mexico which includes La Quinta, California!!! Check it out:

At some point during the week I promised to tell that recent story about how Kansas has greatly curtailed fracking and reduced the amount of earthquakes there. Sounds like Oklahoma is not doing anything like that and earthquakes are continuing! I have located a link where interested folks can click and read this entire story similar to the one I read this week in a local newspaper@ http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/quakes-rattle-oklahoma-state-avoids-tough-measures-36373263
Expect all of these places to have heightened chance of earthquakes as the January Full Moon Window will begin at 8:46pm Central Time on Friday, Jan. 22, and that exact moment will be on Saturday Night, Jan. 23 at 8:46pm Central Time, 6:46 or so Pacific with that Full Moon Window running through Sunday, Jan. 24 and into early Monday, Jan. 25, 2016. A reader commented on a recent blog to that effect!!! Copied Here: "Keep in mind as well that Saturday is a full moon AND California will be experiencing "king tides" for the next few days,on top of a huge storm that supposed to give us at least 6" of rain in a day?? Alot of odds against us. I work right above the beach in Watsonville CA,staring at the shore,and hoping I'm not here when it does hit:( unquote, but would spoil his emoticon, there!!! So watch out because that reader just said there's also a "King Tide" coming!!! Watch California!!!

More Shaking At Ludlow, California, ONE MORE 5.0 Richters Earthquake Near Lima, Peru!!! Big 5.9 China Earthquake, From H-Bomb Test? UPDATE: 6.6 Offshore Mexico!!!
Just happened as I was about to leave the house for the day a 6.6 Richters Offshore like a hundred miles, and 500 Miles West of Mexico City!!! Very much included in present big alert for California and COULD mean more such movement along that Pacific Boundary!!! Keep Watching!!! NOW Todays Previously Written EQ Blog:
Those are the numbers we are looking at today! First let's take a look at the updated list of the shaking in Ludlow, California just outside Barstow and very near the epicenter of the Hector Mines Earthquake, but I suppose it might also be near the epicenter of the Landers Earthquake, too! Here's the list from the last few hours and I'll update it later if needed. Note the first one or two also appear already on yesterdays list possibly due to the fact that I updated that list at some point during the day, here's todays list, although yes, the earthquakes were mostly yesterday:

Now going all the way back through every single possible source for that 5.9 China Earthquake and only finding the North Korea Nuke Test as possible source for that shaking!!! Not actually too far from Pyongyang, either, doesn't look like it could be connected to the alert for Laos due to being so far north of that nation and nowhere near being in line from that landfall of Typhoon Melor on December 14/15. And also found the clock running out on anything that could possibly be the result of either Cyclone Chapala, or Meg over in the Yemen Region, so possibly chalk one up for Socotra Island maybe not being directly connected to that all important "Triple Plate Junction" over in that region, because that alert is about to run out without any "Actual Place Struck" listed on my sheet right here in front of me that's about to be retired due to the final day of the final alert thereon being reached! While on the contrary the alert for Typhoon Melor which made landfall at Philippines on December 14/15 could run practically all the way through the month of February and still includes one big alert for Lima, Peru that we continue to watch for!!!
Keep watching Lima, Peru because it is almost looking like the big one there might NOT even hit Lima as I've been saying! Instead keep in mind it is a lot of Earthquake Energy and COULD strike just about anywhere in that region now with at least two big 5 Magnitude Earthquakes to prove just that! Very likely there will be a big one to follow so keep watching Lima, AND Peru!!!
With all that shaking at Ludlow it more or less historically makes a big earthquake in that region a sure thing! Like I will be saying in this weeks "Earthquake Minute" more towards the end of the week. . .we BETTER watch Los Angeles and California because we've been so concerned about all those other places around the world especially throughout most of 2015, that it is now certainly time to start watching more around California! Due for their next big earthquake and more, much, much more snow right now falling across much of the country will surely mean much more Major Earthquake Energy for California, too!!! EQ Guy
