First up today is the fact that as we're watching the volcanoes along our West Coast and especially in the Washington, and Oregon Region. . . would you take a look at what's now shaking in Hawaii, there!!! Could hardly beleive a 3.5 may not seem all that unusual, but sort of looks like the fact that our West Coast might have once been connected to Hawaii, and probably is NOW still connected as far as the MAGMA inside of the Earth must be traveling a distance where it was once probably a much closer distance. Another way to say that is far and much deeper under the Pacific Tectonic Plate must run streams of magma or lava in Volcano terms that is the explanation for why I've seen other volcanoes erupt while you and me watch Mount St. Helens!!! Might recall I have said recently to watch other volcanoes such as Colima in Mexico, and any others nearby. . . did I say Hawaii? Because would you now look at this 3.5 and tell me if they're connected:
3.5 - 24km NNE of Waialua, Hawaii
2017-08-23 20:11:21 UTC 21.292°N 156.649°W 14.0 km depth
Nearby Places
11 Miles North of Island of Maui, Hawaii
78 Miles East of Honolulu, Hawaii, Pop. 371,657
Can't forget to keep watching Washington, and Oregon for shakers, too! Here's another one with Salem, Oregon on the list of nearby places there:
1.6 - 3km WNW of Dollar Corner, Washington
2017-08-22 11:34:05 UTC 45.788°N 122.637°W 10.5 km depth
Nearby Places:
Good Hope, Washington 2.8 km (1.8 mi) NNW
Battle Ground, Washington 8.1 km (5.0 mi) W
Salmon Creek, Washington 8.6 km (5.4 mi) N
Five Corners, Washington 12.5 km (7.8 mi) NNW
Salem, Oregon 99.0 km (61.5 mi) NNE
Here's Wednesdays Small Earthquakes, but first one Mount Hood!!! As we've been watching for!!! Along with one more very near Mount Saint Helens or say 10 or 15 miles West of there:
0.7 22km E of Mount Hood Village, Oregon 2017-08-23 11:15
0.6 29km E of Castle Rock, Washington 2017-08-23 07:30
Now here's the list which looks like mostly around the Los Angeles Region:
1.5 15km WSW of Manhattan Beach, CA 2017-08-23 23:24
1.2 4km SSE of Encino, CA 2017-08-23 13:10
1.8 7km W of Isla Vista, CA 2017-08-23 12:31
2.1 7km W of Isla Vista, CA 2017-08-23 10:48
1.2 9km SSE of Gorman, CA 2017-08-23 05:27
That Mount Hood shaker came in at around 29 miles Southwest of "The Dalles" and 75 Miles Northeast of Salem and so we really need to keep watching that region because I seem to recall having said the day to watch being August 28, and it's now looking like today is August 24, so there just COULD be something major to come, yet!!!
