3.9 Richters Earthquake Just Struck Near San Jose at San Francisco Bay Area There!!! Felt Reports Are Currently Over 7000!!! Landfall of Typhoon Temblin at Makong Delta COULD Have Something To Do With All The Shaking!! Watch For More!!!

Since this earthquake happened actually AFTER my usual "Press Time" methinks I'll have all the felt report information tomorrow since it's still just coming in and started out at around 6000 before I even got to it on the web, with my phone actually ringing hardly a few minutes after it must have shook about 12:15am Central Time or why so many reports are coming in, it was around 10:15pm there!!! So, one more time: This was originally a 4.0 that was downgraded to either a 3.8 or 3.9 but two places have said 3.9 and felt reports so far include Pebble Beach, just about everybody in San Jose, one or two so far from Hayward, California where I expect more, Redwood City, Menlo Park, and Belvidere-Tiburon, but I'm quite sure there's plenty more to come with total currently at 7500 as this edition goes to press right now!!!

I will just leave the list of nearby places like they are here in this USGS Report, but be aware the two measurements off San Jose, and Milpitas are also rough measurements of about how far this epicenter is from San Francisco and Oakland, too:

There are one or two major potential sources for some more shaking, and the main one right at the moment is the fact that Typhoon Temblin just made landfall at Philippines, and then Makong Delta in recent days and that 5.0 immediately shook Philippines right there in the path of it!!! So, let us hope we are not right now looking at anything much bigger than that one was or about a 5.0 and that's all, too!!! I'll have more about this one in next EQ Blog!!! Keep Watching, There!!!
