The biggest earthquakes of the year 2017 started out with that 8.2 Richters Mexico Earthquake of September 8 which of course immediately followed the huge landfall of Hurricane Irma at Barbuda on September 2! Although the 8.2 wasn't the Big Mexico Earthquake that did all the damage, the 7.1 very near Mexico City on September 19 with 370 dead was. Among my favorites was the Ireland, Scotland, Norway shakers that all followed the landfall of Hurricane Ophelia there in Mid-October. And finally it was all that movement of the tectonic plates that preceded the big actually a series of earthquakes at Iran also the most deadly of the year at 630 dead and 7.3 on the Richters Scale!!!
Now with the earthquakes showing some signs of maybe an earthquake to speak of over the New Years Holiday, let's continue to hope and wish everybody Happy New Years!!! Then, I'll be here next year to keep everybody up to date on everything that's shaking!!!
