Today we would know this list as another attempt at figuring out exactly WHERE the next big one might strike and when! Weren't too far off with Anchorage because I had been showing a few very different places where earthquakes are LEAST expected and that usually means big one will strike somewhere more unusual, too, so we'll conitnue to watch around Parkfield:

One starts wondering if all of these such as Thursdays Edmonton or this one, are related to Anchorage? I also noticed there'd been next to no shaking at Southern California during all the Anchorage Earthquakes!!! (They are still FEW, there with no list being posted here at all in the days since then) Here's a felt report that might reflect that right now from a 4.2 Richters Offshore Oregon Shaker Friday with the time on this one being about one and a half hours before the 7.0 Anchorage Earthquake that day:

Lots of news came in on Monday from Alaska, but at end of the one story I was about to quote some of. . . was a prominent "Copyright Notice" and therefore I won't be repeating any of the information along the lines of what was contained in that story. I suppose perhaps a link to it might be usable, but not being sure let's move on. Somewhere else I heard a school district has at least one building that will not be opened any more this year and seen one guy who's house was virtually destroyed, and one school where students had left all their personal belongings and were not being allowed to recover them. Turns out there actually HAS been some significant damage and possibly just not having been reported in the news. So, for now it's really rather unknown the number of injuries, or what's going on up there? Unless something more actually comes in. . . looks like that will be the extent of the information on that earthquake and we'll just have to move on. I will stick to keeping updated the list of all the earthquakes there just the same, though!!!
