I seem to have promised a felt report from a 3.9 Anchorage Earthquake in Mondays EQ Blog, but upon just now going over my notes for todays edition decided it's probably not really needed. . . especially due to the fact that Anchorage currently seems to be continuing to shake! So possibly plenty more felt reports to come, no worries!!! AND important to say they should consider "Earthquake Preparations" there, too!!! And they'll be SURE to get some shaking as January New Moon Window approaches and will be on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!!!
Here's a link to story about how it now appears that volcano Anak Krakatou seems to have lost much of its size in that eruption that caused the tsunami at Indonesia!!! Great before and after pic here, too@ https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-46707731 Although found nothing NEW to be going on that's new around Indonesia, did spot this one small earthquake with one felt report or two from one town, there rather:
4.9 - 88km WSW of Banda Aceh, Indonesia

There remains one alert for all around the Pacific that runs till at least Mid-January and there HAVE been quite a number of "January Earthquakes" starting off with the big Northridge Earthquake the 25th Anniversary coming on January 17 and probably be a lot about it as that date gets closer, too! On January 23, 1812 there was one of that series there at New Madrid, Missouri and the magnitude is estimated to be in the 7.3–7.6 Range. Finally recalling these right off the top of my head the Eureka 2010 Earthquake struck there on January 9, 2010 and was followed a few days later on January 12, 2010 by the Haiti Earthquake. So we will need to watch all through January at least for a repeat of anything like that, there!!!
