UPDATE: 6.8 Sulawesi, Indonesia Early Friday!!! Also a 6.1 Offshore Japan!!! And Lots More Shaking at Montana AFTER That New Moon, Too!!! And a 3.4 Richters Earthquake Struck San Bernardino Thursday, Too!!! Now Added: "Earthquake Minute"!!!

This Edition of EQ Blog is now being UPDATED with a 6.8 Sulawesi, Indonesia Earthquake that struck at 6:40am Friday Morning Central Time. A "Tsunami Alert" had been first issued, but has since ended due to apparently no actual signs of such an event having followed the movement of the ground there. THIS is nearby where we are watching for Major Earthquakes. . . however I'm "Estimating" closer to Jakarta and the Triple Plate Junction near Nias Island and Nicobar Islands. Might as well know I'm going to add Japan as the result of the information that will now follow in Fridays regular EQ Blog so be watching for MORE Shaking!!! There was also a 2.7 Century City/Los Angeles/Beverly Hills Earthquake early Friday with over 500 felt reports, and might be the final count on that smaller earthquake there.

This just in Early Friday a 6.8 Sulawesi, Indonesia Earthquake with a tsunami alert that WAS canceled, now WATCH for an even bigger one for that region, there!!! There had also been a 6.1 Offshore from Iwate, Japan Very near the epicenter of that HUGE Honshu Japan Earthquake of 2011. Also a 4.2 and a 4.1 Azerbaijan, just 75 miles from Kazakhstan, And a 5.1, and 4.9 a few miles Northeast of Little Nicobar Island!!! Now with Saturday being Day 30, and Monday being Day 33 after the landfall of Cyclone Idai at Mozambique Be Watching around Caracas Venezuela and Mexico City for as big as a 7.5 at any moment! Of course there will be other bigger earthquakes to come along, but for right now this 6.5 Sandwich Islands Earthquake isn't all that far from Idai's landfall at Mozambique and I think it tells us for certain that the tectonic plates are moving! These all at that epicenter off Nias Island we've been watching and I zoomed-out to 30 days and found a total of 55 that struck here!!! So I went around to a few other busy places around that tectonic plate and those other "Busy" places had maximums of a dozen over the last 30 days. . . so this epicenter certianly HAS been busy! Shaking that is!!! Here's just the last seven, there:

ALL that is going on is now pretty much certain to be leading to a big one!!! Somewhere, and most likely one of those places that we are watching!!! I should note that just prior to that Great Sumatra Earthquake of 2004, the foreshocks that had been striking around these same regions of tectonic plate boundaries had been all around the 7 Magnitude Range. . . and then the 8.1 Macquarie Island Earthquake struck, and was followed just a day or two by the 9.3 Sumatra Earthquake!!! So, there COULD be some much bigger Major Earthquake Energy out there, yet to come!!! Be watching for that, and be prepared, too!!!
