THIS Editon was already started out with the 6.1 Taiwan Earthquake which shook there late Thursday our time in the USA, although it was already mid-day on Friday there. So, I'll now UPDATE with this weeks "Earthquake Minute" where we go on just a little more detail discussing that shaker:
Hello Again Everybody, EQ Guy Here, Tuesday will be Day 40 after landfall of Cyclone Idai at Mozambique and they have been getting earthquakes at Indonesia, but keep watching there for a big one as Day 43 approaches next Friday, and LET ME ADD that although we DID add Japan. . . Taiwan got a 6.1 this week!!! So we’ll have to keep watching all that region as this weekends Full Moon Window strikes!!! Also watch around Mexico City and Caracas, and a 5.0 struck near Mexico City this week with FIVE felt reports from Oaxaca!!! AND let’s add New Zealand, now, too!!! Correction from last week about Mick Jagar being in surgery in New York. . . YES, was also a 3.0 Richters New York Earthquake Offshore From Long Island at Southampton!!! Let’s especially watch around Jakarta, but Japan and Taiwan are shaking, and THAT’S all according to Meeeeee. . . The EQ Guyyyyyy!!!
NOW Fridays Edition of EQ Blog
This 6.1 Richters Earthquake struck just offshore a few miles from Taiwan and has 200 felt reports, mostly all from Taiwan, although 16 from mainland China and a few from nearby Taipei, although we're talking about folks in Taiwan who reported it to OUR Geological Office here in the U.S., so you could say certainly by far more people actually felt it right there in the midst of it! At least one good clip of the shaking was reported, too, and several minor injuries, along with a tiny water run-up warning issued for Japan, but no tsunami they said.

We're watching THIS region again!!! And they are shaking, again! As this Panama, Central America, Columbia/Ecuador Region seems to do on occasion!!! Full Moon will probably be a factor but as I said watch Caracas, and Mexico City. . . but know that to mean all the places in between such as these, too:
5.0 70km NE of La Peca, Peru 2019-04-17 15:01
5.1 South of Panama 2019-04-17 09:55:48

Here's the very latest shaking around San Francisco Bay Area and the full moon will become a factor there soon, too. NOW updated at press time with SEVERAL near San Jose and felt in Pescadero, too:

I suppose this one might go on either a Frisco list, or L.A. list, but Parkfield isn't exactly neither one of those, so here's a pretty good one that shook Parkfield:
3.1 - 10km W of Parkfield, CA
2019-04-18 03:15:15 (UTC)35.910°N 120.536°W-0.3 km depth

This one just came in as press time closes in late Thursday, and I'm telling you. . . it's that shaky Triple Plate Junction near Jakarta and the 2004 Sumatra Epicenter, again!!!!! We'll definately need to keep an eye on this region over this weekends FULL MOON!!!!! There were actually TWO at this epicenter about 10 minutes apart:
5.0 - 123km ESE of Mohean, India
2019-04-18 21:52:10 (UTC) 7.603°N 94.373°E 10.0 km depth
Nearby Places
134.4 Miles SSE Sabang, Aceh, Indonesia
156.3 Miles SSE Banda Aceh, Aceh, Indonesia
1400 Miles North of Jakarta, Indonesia
Might have added or said something about Taiwan being right there in that region we're already talking about, but that's where the 6.1 struck anyways. Still have to beleive we're watching for quite a bit larger shaker than that so let us keep watching!!! And keep an eye on that full moon, too, because it could mean something over this weekend!!! A note mentions that New Zealand will need to be added to list of alerts!!!!!
