6.8 Richters Strikes Pakistan!!! Final Details on My "EQ Radio Show" on Monday Night!!!

Just seen in this mornings Sunday Paper that they had another major shaker in Pakistan. I had received message of a 6.8, but it wasn't until the paper that I came to realize that was yet another very serious earthquake in that same Pakistan Region that got the 7.7 this week. There could be quite a lot more going on yet along the margins of that Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate and so we should Keep Watching and I expect Banda Aceh, Phuket, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to get some more new upcoming seismic activity, too. This alert runs all the way into November, so I will be following it very closely all along the way.

Something Shaking at West Yellowstone!!! Keep Watching Anchorage!!! And Alaska!!!

Spent a few moments today working on the exact magnitude of possible earthquakes up in the Alaska area and the numbers I came up with were nowhere near the 7.7 that struck recently at Pakistan. Rather, the winds that struck at the South of Japan on September 15 say 75mph and 90 mph gusts on my card here. You would probably like to know exactly what might be going on up that way if for no other reason then to have as close of an estimate as possible when this upcoming Anchorage/Alaska Earthquake strikes. So. . . 90 mph gusts do not even actually always warrant an alert, so I have to say we might watch for something as big as about a 7.0 Richters Earthquake around Anchorage, Juneau, or the epicenter of the 1964 Alaska Earthquake which is right in between there somewhere. So this one might be in between 6 and 7 Richters.

Not the Banda Aceh, Phuket, Andaman/Nicobar Islands Shaker that is coming, though! This one could still be upwards of 8 or maybe even 9 Richters and is most likely still out there! I will have more updates as the days pass on this one but it runs all the way into November so this one will be big. . . and a ways out in the future, yet!

I do not expect any of the above ones to affect California beyond just the slightest movements of the San Andreas Fault as all of these other plates are moving. Not so for Yellowstone where they are actually very near that same line that I am watching up in Alaska and just posted at 6 or 7. Ditto for Yellowstone, Helena, Wyoming, and New Madrid where they are already shaking!!! Here is the list I just seen from today:

Just a lot of earthquakes and while not all that unusual for Yellowstone, I just want to say we ARE watching for something major to shake that region and it CAN happen. Keep Watching for earthquakes Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, and New Madrid as well as those other places! Meanwhile I have one more song to get to prepare for my EQ Radio Show on Monday Night. Banda Aceh, Phuket, Adaman and Nicobar Islands Again!!!??? 8 Richters?

Noticed on Wednesday that along with all the activity at Pakistan there was also a fair amount of seismic activity around the Carlsberg Ridge area not too far from where the new island has formed. New Island already has a formal name as well as a Wikipedia Page @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zalzala_Jazeera

The movement at the Carlsberg Ridge reminded me to mention here now that the 7.7 at Pakistan was probably only the initial shock of that landfall of Super Typhoon Usagi near Hong Kong and that eventually that entire tectonic plate will probably end up being pushed a number of centimeters such as seems to have occurred at New Zealand as a part of a similar situation earlier in the 2013 Typhoon Season there. WHEN the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate does eventually decide to start moving it could be Banda Aceh, Phuket, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands getting a lot of the shaking. I'm basically naming those places here right now because it is the region where the Sumatra 2004 Earthquake and Tsunami struck and could be due for more earthquake energy. This could strike other places and I can not say Pakistan was the sum total of all this here earthquake energy. . . might not have been. Therefore let us keep watching that region for a huge earthquake.

There will also continue to be a lot going on at Anchorage, and Alaska that I will keep working on and keep my EQ Blog readers up-to-date on in the remaining days before this next possible upcoming Major Alaska Earthquake might strike!!! Counting Down to Anchorage, Alaska Earthquake 2013!!! Could Be Another 7.6 Richters!!!

Just notice that yesterdays big Peru Earthquake struck on Day 43 after the landfall of Typhoon Utor at the Philippines and with so much going on in other earthquake stuff hardly noticed that we had been also watching that South America Region. So today I thought I should double-check the number of days it has been since the landfall of Man-Yi at South Japan and came up with Day 10!!!

I mostly want to now add that Day 14 will be Sunday, Day 15 will be Monday or the day I will be doing my "EQ Radio Show" on wortfm.org and Day 16 will be the day after my radio show or Tuesday of next week. As a result now of all those days happening in that order, I was thinking I should maybe start one of my now famous count downs and of course this is just a count down to like Day 18 or so and then only basically due to that being the number of days I have came up with in the past for earthquake energy to cross the Pacific from Japan to our West Coast. Of course the numbers for Alaska will vary. . . but actually could even be a much shorter distance and smaller number of days! Therefore while Day 18 is a very good number for days it might take to reach Seattle, Days 14 through 17 could be the number of days it will take the earthquake energy from the landfall of Typhoon Man-Yi to travel from Japan to Anchorage!

With my show coming up on Day 16, we should probably now watch next Wednesday and Thursday very closely but I suppose this huge Anchorage or Great Alaska Earthquake could strike before that, too. 7.7 Earthquake Forms NEW ISLAND!!! Watch For More Earthquakes!!!

Most recent reports from the site of that huge 7.7 Major Earthquake at Pakistan have a new island that has formed 350 feet offshore in the Arabian Sea! CNN reported the New Island is 100 feet wide and has now risen like 20 to 40 feet high.

This was a lot of Major Earthquake Energy that was generated with the landfall of Super Typhoon Usagi at China and the fact that my theory has those 200 mile per hour winds crashing against the shore near Hong Kong now pushing the Asian Tectonic Plate over into the Arabian Sea and creating the island in the above pic, means there is going to be quite a lot more major earthquake energy yet to come! The Solomon Islands and Tuvalu being about the next point where I am expecting something major to shake, but start watching Indonesia, Banda Aceh, Phuket, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands which all look like they could be next in line if the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate makes a major move!!! It might also be possible the Asian Plate might move into the European Plate and affect Italy, Spain, France or anywhere up in that region where they do get occasional major earthquakes! This one could remain a huge one, too! Keep watching for the 7 Range!

On my other alert that will still be active for a while keep watching Anchorage, Juneau, Montana, Wyoming, and the New Madrid Region for a 6.7 or 6.8 and maybe larger. There is also some earthquake energy we had been watching for in Mexico from yet another Hurricane that made landfall, Hurricane Ingrid earlier in September. Watch all those places close and I suppose it is possible our West Coast and California could get some shaking as a result of all of these earthquakes crossing around the world, although I do not have any alerts specifically for them. 7.7 Richters Strikes Pakistan!!! WATCH For More Major Earthquakes!!!!!

There was no Official Prediction for this here particular earthquake that just struck Pakistan hours ago due to all of this Major Earthquake Energy heading off into regions such as this where I do not know any contacts personally who could help to alert those people and I'm very sorry for that. There was a 7.7 that struck in Pakistan early today about 4 or 500 Miles south of Kabul, a few more miles from Islamabad, and maybe a thousand miles west of Nepal about the general direction that I had reported tracking this new earthquake energy. There will be still more of these major earthquakes along this line and around that same magnitude which a lot of you might have noticed I said as big as 7.6 and it hit a 7.7 which explains why I always try to list the BIGGEST possible magnitude to avoid that happening. I won't worry too much about one-tenth of a Richter there, but promise in the future to not let that happen again. Should have said 7.7?

Do note that I will probably not write out an Official Prediction for this string of Major Earthquakes just the same due to it mostly affecting regions where again I do not have any contacts but in the future I hope to have better contact information perhaps at least with a few earthquake professionals in those regions. They have been getting a lot of aftershocks and already one 4.8 two hundred miles south of Tokyo where they could also get more earthquakes as a result of both of these alerts. So please continue to watch Anchorage, Helena, Wyoming, Kabul, Guadalajara, Sichuan, China, Mazatlan, and New Madrid because those are the place names where there IS major earthquake energy heading!!! PROMO For "The EQ Radio Show" is Complete!!! Airs Soon!!!!!

Promo for "The EQ Radio Show" is complete! It will be airing very soon and Ken sent me a copy of it via E-Mail in MP3 format which as of this writing I am not able to upload from my hotmail so I will have that later. Went very well! When I first arrived having stopped by earlier in the business day to browse their record collection for a few of my songs and found one particular George Harrison song and an old John Lennon album. When I arrived later to record my promo, Ken suggested I use the George Harrison cut for background and I said that I though that song might have too long of an introduction but we could excerpt the chorus part. Then after the tour I took a look at the John Lennon LP and noticed it had many hit songs! Browsing I found "Imagine" a song I did not have on my show and thought a Great Song for the promo then because it is not already part of the show! So during the first take I blew the line "Day the Northridge Earthquake struck" and instead read it, "Day of the. . ." and then just said "CUT, CUT, CUT" due to not wanting to have to correct myself which I would simply do on the live show, but not during the recording of the promo, you know. It would come out, "Day of the Northridge Earthquake struck Los Angeles"

On the second take everything went PERFECT!!! Read perfect all the way through and even timed it perfect so the voice of the Great John Lennon takes over the last few seconds right at the end and it all came out at :55 seconds, and so Ken said that was perfect, too!

Throughout the day I went around to a couple of the different local Madison Libraries and managed to find a couple CD's with almost every song now that I intend to use on my show and am going tomorrow to get the final two, however, if anybody still has a request I still have time to make some changes and a couple of the songs that I am thinking about using could still be replaced with even better songs! Currently I'm thinking about replacing "Don't Stop Believing" with the song "Pinball Wizzard" by Elton John due to it having that strong piano to start my show and just being a stronger song. I have now already officially replaced "Long as I can see the light" by CCR with "Abraham, Martin, and John" although I might move the CCR song to some other place it was just a story about the local power company I worked for and the "Light" part sort of jived, you know!

Very comfortable in the studio, again! Haven't been in the control room doing radio for a lot of years, but I will have the controls at my fingertips throughout my "EQ Radio Show" a week from tonight, or Monday. And Ken said it looks like it is all going well and is very happy with my show going together very nicely! I must say I am getting fairly anxious to get in there on Monday Night, September 30th at 7pm Central Time and get "The EQ Radio Show" on the road!!!

Super Typhoon Usagi WILL Mean Enormous Major Earthquake!!!!! 9 or 10 Richters???

Today I mostly want to give the very latest info on the landfall of that huge Super Typhoon that made landfall near Hong Kong over the weekend. This was so big of a typhoon that it passed through between the Philippines and Taiwan and managed to wreck havoc with both countries. . . . . and then made unimaginable landfall at China however just north of what might have been an even much larger disaster had it been a direct hit on Hong Kong. Although my card here says that the winds of Super Typhoon Usagi were at one time as high as 167 mph with gusts as high as 201 mph it is probable that the majority of all that wind was a factor in generating all of the major earthquake energy that we will now be tracking around the world through November 6, 2013.

The first in this upcoming series of major earthquakes that will come as a result of this landfall could begin striking at any moment and I am actually sort of surprised China has not gotten hit yet as I write. Sichuan, China region is right there in the cross hairs of the general direction that Usagi was heading at landfall and Sichuan, China rarely escapes big ones like this here. Also immediately watch all those other countries up in that Himilayan Arc Region such as Nepal, and Tibet and all the others too numerous to mention. While it will go on towards Kabul, that could be later in the week and into the coming weeks and I will keep you updated.

There were actually just now 3 earthquakes now already striking out in the Indonesia and Guam regions that are most likely the result of the Pacific Tectonic Plate already busting a move! Expect more but remember there is no limit to how big these earthquakes can go! A 9 or 10 Richters earthquake could be striking at any moment but mostly that big of one has to stick close to this straight line and all the others around the Pacific in general should not go as high as a 9. And onto Africa and South America into October but I will update along the way there, too, not likely to strike those regions today or tomorrow.

Finally remember we are still watching Anchorage, Helena, Wyoming, and New Madrid for 6.7 or 6.8 Richters and something will probably happen up in those regions yet, too. Alaska might even be affected by both of these combining and making it both more likely they could get that 7.6 Richters. . . and I suppose even likely they could get some of the 9 or 10 Richters but I did say SOME of it. Highly unlikely they need to worry about getting ALL of it! So let's stay with the 7 Richters Range up Alaska way. Be Prepared Alaska, and be watching California and Mexico, too!!! EQ Guy

3.1 Anza, California and 3.5 Near Helena, Montana!!! Super Typhoon Usagi Makes Landfall Near Hong Kong!!!

The big news this morning is that the Super Typhoon that had been threatening Hong Kong has now made landfall and missed that city by a number of miles maybe 50 or 75 to the east. Problem will still very much exist for the fact that probably a whole lot of new Major Earthquake Energy has now been generated and could immediately affect the Pacific Tectonic Plate! Thinking about this and checking the globe for the actual point of landfall, I want to say here that what commonly happens with windstorms this big is that the first round of major earthquakes will begin to strike in the coming hours and days and will ultimately "String" a straight line all around the globe or planet. First striking right there in China like around Sichuan or Chongqing, and Soloman Islands/Vanuatu all around 7 Richters, then at Kabul and South of Tehran, Iran again around 7 Richters and more towards the end of September, and finally Libya, Guinea, Guyana, French Guiana, Peru and Chile all into October and all around 7 Richters. I will update and try to better dial in the exact magnitudes and dates of all those now upcoming major shakers. Expect China to start shaking at any moment due to all of that major earthquake energy that has just bashed their coastline there! Be Prepared for Major Earthquakes, China!

Guadalajara and Mazatlan is still one other remaining alert that we should watch for a while yet, too!

4.9 Richters Near Landers, Wyoming!!!!! Be Watching For More!!! Be Prepared Wyoming/Montana!!!

This apparently just happened in the last hour as I write at 8:45am Central Time on Saturday Morning! Appears to have been a 4.9 Richters Earthquake about a hundred miles south of Yellowstone in an area with towns such as Landers and Riverton that I have visited traveling through that region. I am very sorry to have to repost my recent Official Prediction that includes Helena, Montana exactly about 300 miles due north of todays early morning epicenter. I also have to update the fact that the imaginary line of potential earthquake energy that I follow might actually pass very near Casper, Wyoming and that it is always impossible to list every single town the line passes through, but I can tell you the line does sort of go from Helena to New Madrid so exactly where it passes Landers will most likely still only be the tolerance or difference slight. Felt Reports have so far come in from Landers-8, and one each from Riverton, Rock Springs, and Farson.

There might be more earthquakes in that area and I am not a seismologist or geologist and therefore do not have anything else that I can say about this matter. I worked most of my life at a junkyard and as a Union Carpenter and as an actor and writer. It is however my own personal opinion that there may be a Major Earthquake striking up in that area and it is a possibility however remote, that todays early morning 4.9 is a foreshock for a rare 6 or 7 Magnitude Earthquake. I do not know if such an event were to happen. . . if the epicenter would be at or near Landers, or if it could be Yellowstone, or Helena. On my watch such events as this have ushered in an earthquake such as Haiti in the coming hours due to movements of huge chunks of tectonic plate, but don't let your guard down, Wyoming and Montana!!! Be Prepared such as spending the afternoon out on the porch or in the backyard enjoying the first day of autumn! Then, after a few hours I think the immediate risk of any aftershocks will subside and by Monday Morning you all can go on about your lives hopefully with the thought of big giant earthquakes in the past.

The landfall this week of Hurricane Ingrid at the Gulf of Mexico into Mexico will mean it is probable that there could be somekind of an earthquake at Guadalajara, Mazatlan, Mexico Region in the coming days, but this one does not always necessarilly strike that region, just have to watch as the days go on as a precaution because I know I have some folks in that region watching and probably very worried that something will shake. Shouldn't really be that big there if it does folks, say 6, and hopefully far enough away from the population that it will just give you guys a quick little jolt and be over! God Bless!

Super Typhoon Usagi is about to make landfall at Hong Kong in the coming hours. Regardless of where it makes landfall it is a huge Super Typhoon with wind speeds that had been over 200 mph and will generate the biggest Major Earthquake in a long time and probably the end of the world for somebody, somewhere. This huge wind storm has the ability to not only flatten much of Hong Kong, it might also bring on the next 9 or 10 Magnitude Earthquake with the next 75 foot tsunami, so be watching what happens next with Super Typhoon Usagi especially if you live in a shaky place or anywhere near the Pacific Tectonic Plate and that "Ring of Fire." California, California, California!!!!! Keep Watching California!!!!!

It was only yesterday I was blogging about all of the earthquake stuff that was going on in California! Now here I am again today blogging about all the earthquake stuff that is going on in California! Very late last night there was a huge 3.9 Richters Earthquake with the epicenter of Borrego Springs, California! You can see all of the felt reports and the long list of aftershocks at Earthquake Central: http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2013/09/borrego-springs-earthquake-and.html While my initial question here was if there were any folks that felt both yesterdays and now todays, I checked and the answer is todays Borrego Springs Earthquake was felt in San Dimas, Covina, and Los Angeles as well as I noticed one felt report from Thousand Oaks. Therefore I am going to guess that the parts of the tectonic plate that were moving as a result of both of these shakers could well be connected in there somewhere since there were folks that did feel both of them. Perhaps there will be more shaking in that region, yet, then. And beyond the full moon window that will be more or less over tomorrow, but not the earthquake energy you know!

There is one interesting story about a Borrego Springs Earthquake that goes all the way back to my EQ Blog of June 8, 2010 when I was tracking the Potential Earthquake Energy from a huge Ohio Tornado and apparently even filed an O.P., although I did not locate it to link it here, and the result was that big 5.7 Earthquake that struck near San Diego on June 15, 2010 and delayed a San Diego Padres Game!!! @ http://earthquakealert.blogspot.com/2010/06/57-delayed-san-diego-padres-game-felt.html I seem to recall having been watching the Los Angeles Lakers Play-Offs in that timeframe and knowing a Major Earthquake could easily come to disrupt a major basketball game and was not aware there was a Padres Game in San Diego or I might even have mentioned that game, too, as my readers all know! The result was the name "Padre Kobe Quake."

Finally today as I write we now have SUPER TYPHOON USAGI headed directly between Taiwan and Philippines bearing down on HONG KONG with maximum windspeeds of over 200mph!!! This will not only be a huge natural disaster in the coming hours, but looks like it will most likely generate so much Major Earthquake Energy that it will very likely be preceding the next HUGE Earthquake/Tsunami Event!!!
