Update: Looks like it's possible this Pasadena Earthquake "Event" has been deleted? Again I have to say they have however had a least one or two other shakers at this location so it could still mean something is going on up that way or a Major one could be lurking there somewhere! Here's a link to what you'll now, again, see is a "Deleted Event" if anyone feel like going there@ http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/ci37780376#region-info In Brief, that's "Event Deleted: The requested event has been deleted."
As of this writing late on Wednesday Night, there have now been at least two shakers at this Japanese Epicenter just to the north of Tokyo with the newest one, a 5.6 just a little further north and with basically about the same felt report as this one here for the 5.3 and can't run both of them, sorry, but watch for more there, too:

Taking a close look at both of these and I want to say they were about 2 hours apart and the bigger second one had 20 felt reports from Tokyo and about the same number around Fukushima. I noticed one other one in that region, a 5.5, but that one is dated December 30.

As promised, the 2.2 Richters Newport Beach Earthquake has so far NOT been deleted!!! Here's the current USGS Report on this one along with the list of Nearby Places and I'll watch for a felt report to show up there, too!

So far only one felt report from that Newport Beach Earthquake that appears to have shook around 2pm Central Time and possibly around Noon Pacific. I want to close todays EQ Blog with a note that there is presently much, much more Severe Winter Conditions heading for the Southern Regions of USA and I heard names of towns in the Carolinas mentioned a few times, too! All this preceded an earthquake in Malibu during one Rose Bowl. . . so it's a good time to start watching California again! Not to mention the fact that we're already watching there and I'll have more on that in later EQ Blogs, too!!! EQ Guy
