Big question today is how much rain is California getting and how much will it take with all due respect for the fact that they've been in a drought, how much rain before a Big Earthquake is the result? It has pretty much become at best accepted science that this much rain will ususally bring with it some kind of earthquake. . . but are we watching for like a 5.8 or 5.9 Richters? Is it only still somewhat of a longshot they could get another 6.5 such as the two anniversaries we're looking at today, January 9 the day of the Eureka 2010 Earthqukae or the upcoming anniversary of the Northridge Earthquake on January 17 or next Tuesday? All that is right now happening along with an upcoming Full Moon Window that will be starting like on Wednesday this week!!! Looks like there is almosts certain to be some Major Shaking and am sorry to say it looks like this could mean CALIFORNIA!!!
Keep watching Peru because some of these have been getting rather close to being the big one we're watching for there and we're also starting to know more, and more about how foreshocks work in that region, too!!!

Alls I know about the shaking up there in far northern Canada is that it's a thousand miles from everywhere as you can see on the list of "Nearby Places" that comes after this report here. . . and then the "Entire List" follows that:
5.8 - 86km ESE of Resolute, Canada
2017-01-08 23:47:12 UTC
Nearby Places
Iqaluit, Canada, 1492.8 km (927.6 mi) NW, Pop. 6,124
Yellowknife, Canada, 1582.9 km (983.6 mi) NE, Pop. 15,865
Nuuk, Greenland, 1902.3 km (1182.0 mi) WNW, Pop. 14,798
Here's the list of two, if that's still a list:

5.8 86km ESE of Resolute, Canada 2017-01-08 23:47
These looked like something on the map, but in every other way it's just a couple small shakers at Yucca Valley, California and not sure if they're part of the heavy rain scenerio there, either:
0.9 7km N of Yucca Valley, CA 2017-01-09 12:57

2.1 7km SE of Yucca Valley, CA 2017-01-09 03:06
And some shaking around New Madrid, too:

Not having figured out what day this Edition of my EQ Blog will actually be refering to, but since I do know for sure the Full Moon is on its way, let me now add that exact moment will be on Thursday, January 12th at 5:35am Central and 3:35am Pacific so therefore the Full Moon Window will start early on Wednesday Morning and so in the event I am not back here with more editions and since I might have work tomorrow night. . . keep in mind that Full Moon will be more or less high overhead anyways, so consider the Full Moon Window starting at just about any time between now and then! Especially the later in the day it gets on Wednesday, too, to be watching for lots of shaking! Probably California and Peru!!! EQ Guy
