Some BIG Shaking Up There Around Alaska/Canada!!! Also Some Smaller Shaking Around Los Angeles, On The Anniversary of Northridge Earthquake, Too!!! R.I.P. Jim Berkland

A lot of severe winter conditions preceded the 1964 Great Alaska Earthquake!!! And all of this here shaking must have just taken place in the late hours of Monday!!! Could be a BIG ALASKA Earthquake coming. . . and this could already be all of it, you never can tell there! But do watch around Alaska for they can get some really big earthquakes there you know!!!

Here's those Los Angeles area earthquakes and I know full well that these might easily be considered "Garden Variety". . . but always worry me just the same when would you look at the lists of "Nearby Places" and just knowing ANY of those could become the epicenter of the next Big California Earthquake!!!

Would you look at this epicenter and try to figure out the location based on it being 1 Kilometer Northwest of Universal City, 3 Kilometers South of North Hollywood, and 1.9 Miles East of Studio City!!! Might not be too scary at a 1.8 but it would sure do a lot of damage if it was about a SIX on the Richters Scale there!!!

Finally I want to give a big "Shout Out" to Jim Berkland, whom I just found out had passed away during 2016!!! I have always had the most respect for all his work in the field of Earthquake Prediction and especially all his work with predicting that resulted in having predated the World Series Earthquake by something like a day or so!!! Most famously there was one newspaper article in the "Gilroy Dispatch" that was calling that earthquake the "World Series Quake". . . DAYS before it shook there!!! Jim will be greatly missed and expressing my deepest sympathy to his family, there, too!!! EQ Guy:(
