Let's start off with the "Transcript" for Fridays brand-new edition of "Earthquake Minute" hopefully AFTER the show airs, or it wouldn't be a transcript, then:
Hello Everybody, EQ Guy Here!!! Tiny 1.4 struck downtown Silver Lake, California and right there where they shot a lot of the Laurel and Hardy movies, 2.5 Miles from Downtown Los Angeles, and 3.7 Miles East of Hollywood!!!
~~~3.6 Richters Struck Between Hemet, and Idylwild, California Up there in that region, with 231 felt reports JUST from Hemet!!! And You’ll remember That was also the epicenter of a 6.8 on April 21, 1918 there!!!!!
Severe Winter Conditions Continue, AND they had 6 inches of SNOW at Nogales, New Mexico, there!! On The Border, there!!! AND 191 Miles Per Hour Winds along with snow has struck at Maui, Hawaii, watch there for earthquakes, now
~~~ONE UPDATE!!! Regarding all the “Shows” we discussed last week. . . Wanna ADD one right now!!! “Hamilton” is Showing In Chicago!!!!!
~~~Lots of Ice, Lots of snow. . . And LOTS of Earthquakes!!!!! All combined, THAT’S Why My Name. . . . . is The EQ Guyyyyyy!!!!!
And I ended this show by ad libbing "That's my Maui Wowy Earthquake Minute"!!! And also where I discussed Laurel and Hardy gave the name of the movie there where the two delivered a piano up a huge set of stairs and that's the movie "Music Box" and those stairs are still there today as an "Historical Site"Fridays Edition of "Earthquake Minute" started off with one that I just found while double-checking on the computer in the newsroom prior to the show, a 3.7 Bluffdale, Utah just a few mile from Salt Lake City and currently with over 8500 Felt Reports!!! I reported that it was felt in Colorado Springs and Vail, and will have an update on all that on next weeks show, if it doesn't show up here sooner.
Might not look like much at a 1.4, but my main concern would be that it seems to have struck directly under the Silver Lake Region of the Downtown Los Angeles!!! Or about the first mile of Sunset Boulevard just outside downtown L.A. there right around Dodgers Stadium or so! (As I discussed in more detail in the above "Earthquae Minute" script) Here's the USGS Report showing the distances to some fairly nearby places, too!!! And notice the ZERO's where it tells the distance to Silver Lake in both the banner headline, and the list of nearby places that follows:
1.4 - 0km SE of Silver Lake, CA
2019-02-13 23:38:13 (UTC)34.088°N 118.262°W6.3 km depth
Nearby Places
0 Miles SE of Silver Lake, CA
1.2 Miles North of Echo Park, CA
2.5 Miles NNE of MacArthur Park, CA
2.5 Miles NNW of Los Angeles, CA
3.7 Miles East of Hollywood, CA
Here's the felt report and even kind of hard to believe at a 1.4 there:
1.4 - 0km SE of Silver Lake, CA
THIS ONE Struck about 115-120 Miles Offshore from Ferndale/Eureka Region, however the felt report was very interesting and is posted here, while the USGS simply states 115-120 Miles to those places, anyways:
3.5 - 189km W of Ferndale, California
2019-02-13 22:13:15 (UTC)40.364°N 126.483°W10.0 km depth
La Quinta CA 92253 United States of America...2...1174 km
In case I'm not on this blog before then, the Full Moon Window will start on Monday with the exact moment coming at 9:53am February 19 or it looks like it'll be Tuesday!!! And the February Full Moon Window will run all the way through Wednesday next week, but all that added pull of this "Super Moon" could almost be counted on to shake California and a few other places so be watching for that!!!!
