Hi, EQ Guy Here!!!!! Hawaii has gotten 25 Foot Waves as the result of Hurricane Darby passing very near there just to the south of there last week! These waves have been so big that they have been seen crashing over the tops of some two-story buildings there and also seemed to have crashed at least one wedding, there, too, although word is the Wedding Day Cake. . . was saved from them big giant tidal waves brought on by the passing of this really big windstorm, there last week! Winds of 90 Mph, and Gusts of bout 125 Miles Per Hour, so I guess that would rather be called “Storm Surge” then not a tidal wave nor actually a tsunami wave, per-se, just sayin’! When this story originally aired on my local community radio show, I followed it up with an alert for Volcano, Earthquake for that Hawaii Region, ~~TODAY: Japan’s Sakurajima volcano has erupted with large volcanic rocks as far as 1.5 miles away near Tarumizu city, spewing ash and with a warning for falling volcanic rocks in areas and possible flow of lava, ash and searing gas. ~~The Sakurajima Volcano is about 600 miles southwest of Tokyo in the southern prefecture of Kagoshima on Japan’s southern island of Kyushu and an update, hundred thousand evacuations there! So, That alert, possibly for earthquake or maybe volcano Hawaii should continue just the same now looking at Day 18 coming August Third, there! ~~This has been “Earthquake Minute”. . . And I. . . Am The EQ Guy!!!
And the interesting part about that script was the big Philippines earthquake happened early today and the script for that show was written and recorded on Monday! Sorry not about to be getting around to a "Re-Do" in time for this weeks edition! Last week there was a 2.4 Richters Earthquake that struck the Southeast Michigan Region at a town called Luna Pier in Erie Township, Monroe County, Michigan with currently 37 Felt Reports including Livonia, Ann Arbor, and Monroe Michigan, 4 Toledo Ohio Zip Codes, along with of course one felt report actually FROM the town of Luna Pier Michigan! ~~Exact location of the Epicenter for folks familiar with the Luna Pier Region of Michigan, was just North of Samaria Road, which turns into Luna Pier Road just east of there, and along Strasburg Road. That earthquake was actually 3.6 Miles West Of Downtown Luna Pier, Michigan, 9.1 Miles Northeast of Monroe, Michigan, 10.7 Miles From Toledo, Ohio, and 82.8 Miles Northwest of Lansing, Michigan or that would be Southeast of. ~~On May 12 there was a “Der-Rach-io” that struck Southeast South Dakota along the stateline there between Iowa and Minnesota heading more northerly with the line of potential earthquake energy sort of headed towards that Michigan Epicenter. Tropical Storm Bonnie formed in the Atlantic, then crossed over the mountains of Nicaragua and into the East Pacific where it became a Hurricane late Sunday and is currently a CAT-3 with wind speeds over a hundred miles an hour running along the shore of Mexico and there may be a small problem as it passes to the south of Clarion Island and may produce some seismic energy for that region, too!!! ~~There was a 3.2 San Clemente Island, Felt On Catalina Island at Avalon, as well as Long Beach, and Irvine on July 5, and a 1.2 Beverly Hills which appears to now be posted as a 1.1 West Hollywood over the fourth of july weekend actually late on the 3rd, early on the fourth along with 3 big ones at Iran with the biggest a 6.1 with 5 dead there! ~~AND Here’s hoping everybody had a great Independence Day Weekend, too!!!!! Hi, EQ Guy Here!!! If you’d been following that landfall over the weekend of now Hurricane Bonnie from the Atlantic, then you might already know this one is today Hurricane Bonnie out there in the Pacific!!! Yes, crossed over from the Atlantic over the mountains of Nicaragua and continued on into the East Pacific where it then became a Hurricane late Sunday and the latest is that wind speeds are now over a hundred miles an hour!! ~~Might be the same sort of action that had originally created that Isthmus there by pushing all that land into a big sand bar and now connecting North America with South America, but that’s been far too long ago for me to figure out in my spare time over 4th of July weekend!!! AND Here’s hoping everybody had a great Independence Day, too!!!!! ~~Three really big earthquakes, the biggest a 6.1 have struck Iran with 5 dead there, and so far at least one really tiny earthquake struck Beverly Hills, California on Sunday, but should be no worries. . .they get lot of them tiny earthquakes! ~~The final results are in and over last weeks June New Moon there was a 3.6 Richters Earthquake at Columbia, South Carolina with over 3700 Felt Reports including from Minnesota, Vermont, and Massachusetts!!!
