More Foreshocks-Indio/Aust. Tectonic Plate! NOW California, too!!!

Phone chimed very early this morning with 3.8 Olancha, California and upon checking this is that very shaky Lone Pine, Coso Junction, California region from the last big California Earthquake which we today know as Offshore San Diego 6.3 Richters. While I want everybody to know there IS a brand new Major California Earthquake coming, I have been hoping Sumatra, Indonesia would come before it! Yesterday Afghanistan had a 5.8 up around the top of the Himalayan Arc and let's keep watching for this to move farther and farther West into Greece, Italy, and beyond! It also occurred to me that if it does keep moving further west. . . Indonesia might become susceptible to some of that movement and those islands start to migrate possibly causing something big there, too! While I had intended Sumatra 2012 to strike and then get on with the upcoming Major California Earthquake, the California Foreshocks are starting to look like it is time for California to start preparing!!! I will now give the magnitude for the late December/January 2013 California Earthquake at 6.0 to 7.5 Richters and reserve the right to update the 7.5 possibly to 7.1 later. The actual end date for the new California Earthquake energy will be something like January 20th and might pass on by the date of the Northridge Earthquake January 17, Eureka 2010 on January 9, and the Haiti Earthquake January 12. . . but those dates are kind of hard to forget while we approach them and possibly pass them by waiting for the next one to strike you know! Finally, I had to dig but FOUND a great Alaska EQ Alert I had sent out back in 2002 as a result of the landfall of Hurricane Lili at Cuba on October 1, 2002 as a CAT-3 with 112 mph winds leaving 48,000 homes damaged and 16,000 that lost roofs!!! Days later on October 23, 2002 a 6.7 and November 3, 2002 a 7.9 Richters earthquake struck the Denali Fault and this was the one I mostly remember for that big truck that fell into the gulch left in the middle of that highway right down the bright yellow centerline! Truck shook the road enough or was just there at the right moment! Yes, some of my long time followers probably remember that once very famous EQ Alert, too! Hope you had a good Christmas Name Edited, and Name Edited! Today I reasoned that it was necessary to send along this note to the Councils mostly due to the fact that I have tracked a fairly large amount of earthquake energy to the Sumatra, Indonesia region. While none of these areas fall under the jurisdiction of either the California, or National Councils it has the potential to be a large enough earthquake that I thought a short letter to you both containing the information that I presently have collected and present it for the record.
As you may know I routinely track what I like to call "Earthquake Energy" or "Potential Earthquake Energy" after the landfall of huge windstorms, in this case we are talking about the landfall of Super Typhoon Bopha at the Philippines on December 3, 2012. I checked the direction this big windstorm was heading as it crossed the Southern Philippines and found this line to travel to the tectonic plate boundary around the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. . . only more recently searching the region with a magnifying glass to find some town names and the very first town name I discovered as a result of that search was Banda Aceh! As I continued looking I found Phuket Island. I want to now add that I am presently looking at Tropical Depression Wukong which is crossing along that exact route and will strike near Sumatra in the coming hours. While the actual existence of this other big windstorm doesn't really say anything on the surface, I want to state here that there has been ONE such occasion on my watch where I have tracked earthquake energy along a line and while doing so spotted a similar entity which actually whether or not connected, WAS the earthquake when the entity arrived at the tectonic plate boundary! This amounts to nothing more than an observation and I know that when you add a few fireballs that have also mysteriously crossed skies along these routes, ALSO do not in and of themselves have any meaning. So, we will watch if Wukong has any effect on the seismic situation at around Sumatra at the time it makes contact there like today or tomorrow. In terms of electrical energy which the earth having North and South Poles and a field of some sort HAS. . . I suppose you won't mind if I make a wild guess that Wukong contains a field of energy from the Pacific and raises havoc when it contacts the Indian Ocean similar to an arc across phases in the electrical sense. Again that is reaching, I know! There IS a theory that energy arcs from the atmosphere to the athenosphere or the ground whichever, but it is beyond what I know on that subject.
The Full Moon might even be coming around the other side of the world as I am writing and while I have recently discovered that small bump in earthquake activity with the full and new moons, I need to also add today that the recent New Moon turned out to be the exact night of the recent Off Shore San Diego 6.3 Richters Earthquake with a grand total of 860 "Felt Reports" from San Diego alone! There was also last years Coos Bay Earthquake that fell on the exact night of the October 2011 full moon with practically nothing to compare to that one since! In that research I also seem to have discovered that 7 and 8 days before and after full and new moons has next to NO earthquakes but have no explanation for why. So while there is a lot of earthquake energy currently heading for Sumatra, Indonesia the full moon may play a part in this upcoming earthquake in just the coming hours and days, but I do not truly believe the full moon to guarantee the release of major earthquake energies, rather I will just note that as this earthquake gets here, I have discovered that it will bump up the chance of this earthquake striking on the date of the full moon just a notch.
There have also been some signs of the movement of the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate which could mean that rather than shaking as the earthquake energy hits Sumatra. . . this earthquake energy could push on this tectonic plate and has already caused a fairly large series of 5 Magnitude earthquakes around the perimeter at Pakistan, Black Sea, Myanmar, and several around Indonesia as well as at least one so far near Macquarie Island. So, therefore knowing this will be a major earthquake of 7.7 to 9.0 Richters for Sumatra, I want to also say that Greece, Italy, or Nepal could get the brunt of this tectonic plate moving in their direction as well as I suppose places like Spain, Portugal, and France along with whomever else is situated over that way where I am not familiar with the seismology. Range up that way might be 6.7 to 8.1 Richters. Finally, when one of these spots along the tectonic plate boundaries DOES shake, it will probably also mean this tectonic plate will then rattle around considerably shaking places like New Zealand and possibly even kicking the Pacific Plate, Japan, or Alaska. While this would mean our West Coast, I can't imagine there being much earthquake energy left over by time it would shake the Pacific Plate. Just that this line did also cross through Lima, Peru and there could yet be a major earthquake at or very near that South American Coast in the coming days, or coinciding with the full moon.

In the matter of the State of California, I must add that yesterday there was about a 3.8 Richters earthquake near Parkfield, California and so I checked past Parkfield Earthquakes and found at least two that had struck in February and March. Those were 1881, 1901, and 1922, and upon a quick check suspecting severe winter conditions might have preceded these, I found the January 27-28, 1922 Severe Washington, DC Blizzard that collapsed the roof of the Knickerbocker Theater killing 98 people when that region received between 2 and 3 feet of snow with drifts reported at 16 feet according to Wikipedia at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knickerbocker_Storm The snowfall amounts now being reported around the eastern half of the United States and apparently including parts of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, seem to be getting around a foot of snow with some getting even more up towards Pennsylvania. I discovered severe winter conditions to have preceded the Northridge Earthquake and a further search revealed many of what I call snowfall resultants which include Great Alaska, and New Madrid Earthquakes while also having a couple of my own very accurate "Official Predictions" on that subject with one preceding the Eureka 2010 Earthquake and days later the Haiti Earthquake. You can still view that Official Prediction at: http://earthquakealert.blogspot.com/2009/12/official-prediction-california-just.html The final date I gave in that banner headline was January 12, 2010 and that Eureka Earthquake struck on January 9, 2010 while in the final hours of that Official Prediction on January 12, 2010 at 4 in the afternoon the Haiti Earthquake struck. BOTH are now what I call the result of "Weight on the Tectonic Plate" and possibly similar to the conditions we might now be facing all across the U.S. and possibly another Northridge, Paso Robles, or Parkfield Earthquake in the coming days, and weeks. December 2003 was ALSO a fairly severe winter and in the course of that month I sent via E-Mail my very first EQ Alert saying a major earthquake could strike California in the coming days. . . and the Paso Robles Earthquake struck on December 23, 2003. I will probably submit a more formal submission on this subject at a later date, since today I am most concerned with the Banda Aceh situation.
In summation, there probably IS a large amount of earthquake energy roaming the Indian Ocean right at this moment which seems to be producing a number of 5 Magnitude earthquakes and there WILL BE a major earthquake following all the earthquake energy generated by the landfall of Super Typhoon Bopha at the Philippines. I just thought I should write you both today since you would want to know about this upcoming major earthquake!

We Have Movement of Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate!!! Major Shaker Any Moment!!!

Hope everybody is having a Great Christmas Day! But I just happened to notice we have been getting more and more shakers that all seem to be around 5 Richters all around the top of the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate and exactly as I have been watching for including a Macquarie Island earthquake that indicates it is moving! Just in the recent hours there have been two Black Sea Earthquakes, Xinjiang, Pakistan, and several Sumatra, and Indonesia "Foreshocks"! These could be Sumatra ready for a major shaker. . . and they could be pushing this entire tectonic plate over into Greece, Italy, and etc. One of these fine places around this tectonic plate will be getting some of this major earthquake energy possibly at any moment and remember the range I gave as 7.7 to 9.0 Richters! Then New Zealand is out there, yet, too at the bottom of the plate. It is looking like a lot of snow is possible between Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Buffalo meaning the next Northridge/Paso Robles Earthquake might be in our future so be watching immediately for some foreshocks around California, too! Happy Holidays! It's Earthquake Season!!!

Happy Holidays Everybody! Thought I should write due to Holidays I might miss tomorrow and need to update today with a lot of stuff happening! When I wrote yesterday about Paso Robles Earthquake being December 23, 2003. . . I did NOT even notice it actually WAS December 23!!! So here it is a Minor Earthquake Season sort of thing happening! Yes, not only was the Paso Robles, California Earthquake yesterday, but the Bam, Iran Earthquake was on the 24th or today also 2003 and the anniversary of the Great Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami of 2004 will be tomorrow! Finally, it was mentioned on the weather somewhere that it is the worst winter conditions since 2009. . . which just so happened to be the exact winter conditions that preceded the Haiti Earthquake! Those winter conditions back in December of 2009 led to me writing and filing this Official Prediction:

New Earthquake Heading for California? 3.8 Hits Lake Nacimiento!

Looks like the NEXT Major Earthquake just could be heading for California again as of this morning there was a 3.8 Richters earthquake near Lake Nacimiento very near the Epicenter of the 2003 Paso Robles Earthquake which also just so happened to have occurred following severe winter conditions. It's possible, although not all over yet, that the newest severe winter conditions might just be taking place all over America right this moment. I will have to continue watching the snowfall amounts and of course have updates along the way and possibly file a little something in the format of a "prediction" later on. For now I just want to say that Northridge was preceded by 2 feet of snow all across our country, sub-zero temperatures, and 55 mph winds. Upon a check of other what I sometimes like to call "January Earthquakes" I found the Great Alaska earthquake at which time the front page of my local paper was the huge blizzard, and more of these I will write about in the coming days. This ultimately led to the severe winter weather of December 2003 when I wrote my very first Severe Winter Conditions EQ Alert for California and the now great Paso Robles Earthquake struck California on December 23, 2003!!! Sumatra, Indonesia is also coming at around 8.5 Richters and possibly New Zealand, too, 7? EQ Guy

End Of The World. . . For Somebody??? All of Us? Final EQ Blog?

Also the shortest day of the year today, and first day of spring, and supposedly although I can't say I've heard the scientific explanation for the legend that you can balance an egg on end today!!! Yes, it is December 21, 2012!!! The long-awaited date that according to me, there just might be an enormous earthquake OR volcanic eruption such as the one that brought about a year or several years with no summer! There are some scientific circles that have also stated that there seems to be such a thing as a volcano that can wipe out all traces of life all across the Planet Earth, too! Called a "Cataclysm" or Earth Wide Cataclysm due to the fact that in past ones there have only been one or two species that made it across the end of the world to exist today! One was a frog, one a leopard, and like 90% of the species in the oceans have crossed the Cataclysm in the past and most likely a few of them will cross the next one. . . whether it will be yet today is as of yet unknown as of 10:35am CST. It also seems like the mass we know as The Milky Way was once a solid planet that once orbited out one or two distant planets from the Earth and just my opinion that it might have ALSO met its proverbial December 21, 2012 and suffered a huge enough earthquake that it broke all apart and is now an enormous field of meteorites, or meteors as my spell check just reminded me! Is this what is going to happen to us yet today??? So, all that aside, we will watch very closely all day today for that major earthquake that IS HEADED for Sumatra, Indonesia, Banda Aceh, and Phuket and continue to watch a couple additional days if it hasn't ended or occurred rather by the end of today! Add New Zealand and Nepal and perhaps Lake Tanganyika just incase the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate starts moving, too! Sumatra 2012 Due Any Minute!!! 7.7 to 9.0 Richters!!!

The landfall of Super Typhoon Bopha was December 2, 2012 and it will be Day 17 today and Day 18 tomorrow or Wednesday and Thursday this week. The Great Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami struck on Day 23 after the landfall of Super Typhoon Nanmadol and Day 23 will fall on Dec. 25. We should watch for that all important date of December 21, 2012 for perhaps a HUGE VOLCANO letting loose and bringing about the potential end of the world. . . but it seems a little more likely it will just be the biggest major earthquake of recent times with the Great Sumatra Earthquake of 2004 now being almost 10 years ago! Note that there are some notably HUGE volcanoes over around Sumatra such as Mount Krakatou which I think has proven it can do it. A big enough volcano can let so much gas, lava, and ash into the air that the sky darkens and possibly for a long, long time! But let's just watch that area for a big earthquake, and the immediate vicinity such as maybe Japan, too! This Major Earthquake is only hours from striking!!! EQ Guy

ALL CLEAR LOMPOC, CALIFORNIA!!!??? NOW KEEP WATCHING BANDA ACEH!!!

I am writing today to say it is probably the conclusion of my Official Prediction for Lompoc, California. Looks like we have had quite a lot of Major Earthquake energy out California way including one that actually struck Lompoc! On the night of the New Moon at 2 O’Clock the following morning there was a now very famous 6.3 Richters Earthquake that struck at Offshore San Diego and this will now mark Day 44 after the landfall of Hurricane Sandy at New Jersey. After watching on the date of the Hector Mines Earthquake which came on December 12, 2012 at 1:46am or around Day 43. I’m not worried about now extending my usual number of days one day since Hurricane Bret struck at Texas/Mexico and Hurricane Sandys earthquake energy crossed the entire country. I had been 3 for 3 considering those 3 previous huge windstorms that ALL preceded Major California Earthquakes and now 4!!! Now including Hurricane Sandy-Offshore San Diego Earthquake of December 14, 2012 at around 2am with 860 “Felt Reports” coming from just San Diego alone!!! Along with an enormous number of reports coming from basically EVERYWHERE else in mostly the Southern California region. That NEW MOON was on Thursday, December 13, 2012 with several mentions up to that date, AND with the Offshore San Diego Earthquake striking at around 2am the next morning which is still pretty much the night of the New Moon, right? Therefore, I want to conclude here that California should probably be relieved of pretty much ALL of their major earthquake energy until further notice! Of course there is always the chance something might strike and the earthquake energy from Tropical Cyclone Evan at Samoa, and Typhoon Bopha at the Philippines is still out there but not heading for California, there will still possibly be the ever so slight chance of something on our West Coast but I do not believe we could get those earthquakes per se. Finally, I see just today Japan is starting to get some 5 Richters earthquakes but while the current new EQ Alert is for Sumatra, the 2011 alert for Sumatra also included Japan and Japan became the epicenter. I do not believe this earthquake energy will be moving into Japan, but rather it looks like Japan might be shaking as a result of all that huge earthquake energy moving in the direction of Sumatra, and Indonesia. Just keep in mind that I am NOT a seismologist and it will ALWAYS be possible Japan could suffer a major aftershock of that huge Honshu 2011 Earthquake. EQ Guy

Epicenter of 2004 Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami? 7.7 to 9.0 Richters?

As the upcoming Sumatra Earthquake of 2012 approaches I searched very closely over this weekend to see the exact names of towns and islands just to the north of the Island of Sumatra and found the town of Banda Aceh to be situated at the very northern tip of that island that is positioned almost exactly at the tectonic plate boundary between the Pacific and Indio Tectonic Plates and possibly a tiny microplate or two out in that islands region, too. Therefore it sort of looks like while this new major earthquake energy is passing directly through that plate boundary, there could be any number of different fault lines that might be affected by this 7.7 to 9.0 Richters of earthquake energy. Probably the results being pretty much the same no matter which fault line it crosses, though! I just finished viewing the weather satellite of Tropical Cyclone Evan crossing what appeared to be Fiji and turning south so there could now be any number of smaller shakers out in the Pacific Islands region but those should only be so large with 7 being big. Last week Evan made landfall at Samoa and that earthquake energy should strike around Mexico City soon at around 6.5 to 6.9 and I want to continue watching California through Friday although there is presently not much shaking there and hopefully that earthquake has now all passed! Next Major Earthquake: Band Aceh, Phuket, Great Nicobar Island at any moment!?

Just checked the globe for the exact names of the towns that might be affected by the next upcoming major earthquake and with the magnifying glass on the globe and maps found Banda Aceh!!! Then just across the bay on the shores of Malaysia there I found the name of Phuket! Just to the north of Banda Aceh and the point where the earthquake energy will cross onto the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate I located the Great Nicobar Island and Sukakarya with the Andaman and Nicobar Islands just to the north. Off towards Lima I noticed Palau and Kiribati Islands and I suppose Hawaii just north and New Zealand just south. We may want to watch Los Angeles, California, and Frisco through that December 21, 2012 date, but all of these towns and islands around that upcoming Sumatra, Indonesia region where the new earthquake energy is heading will be very important into our future, too!!! This is a huge earthquake heading for that region and it seems fairly certain the major earthquake will strike there as opposed to pushing on that tectonic plate and causing major seismic activity up around the Himilayan Arc or Italy, Greece, and etc. That earthquake will be in the 7.7 to 9.0 Range and that magnitude range seems to be staying the same! Keep Watching California even though they have now had plenty of earthquakes. . . and there is a big one that is going to strike around Banda Aceh, and Phuket very soon! 6.3 Richters Earthquake Strikes 170 Miles WSW Offshore From San Diego

Someday I hope everybody will know the New Moon DOES seem to have just a slightly higher chance of producing a Major Earthquake since this one that rang my phone at around 4 am Central Time was a 6.3 with felt reports coming from as far away as Vegas!!! One of these fine days I'm thinking the general public should be made aware that we pretty much knew there was an earthquake coming at right about that time anyways, and I want to share the information. . . in the future! Could have been much worse and this event might not be over since aftershocks could strike anywhere and be even somewhat bigger yet! 678 Folks reported from San Diego, 93 from Los Angeles, 54 from Huntington Beach, 4 each from Beverly Hills and Malibu, 4 from Santa Barbara and 1 each from Lompoc and Vegas! There could be more earthquakes coming so keep watching out! Tropical Cyclone Evan made landfall at Samoa like yesterday with 100 mph winds with the energy from that on a line for Mexico but it SEEMS a bit too early for that yet? There will be more from that one later anyways and we will continue to watch Sumatra and Lima for a really big shaker still to come with that December 21, 2012 also in our future and getting closer!!! NEW MOON!!! California 7.1, or Japan/Sumatra 7.7???

Just saying that since Japan seems to be the place where all of the recent earthquake energy IS shaking, I suppose the NEW MOON could now bring on the next really big one. There was just a 3.4 at Northern California and there have been one or two other 3 Richters range shakers in the recent days including one or two 4's. Traditionally I haven't used these "Foreshocks" to predict, but mostly due to the fact that they just so happen to coincide with a large source of potential earthquake energy possibly waiting to shake California. . . I'm saying keep watching! And that the New Moon that runs through the next 24 hours or so, something Major could shake!!! Los Angeles? Frisco? Lompoc? Hawaii? Japan? Lima? Sumatra? Let's just watch very close because it is almost a SURE THING that somebody will be shaking at any moment from the NEW MOON! It is only midnight my time, but the New Moon is already starting somewhere so start watching immediately!!! EQ Guy

12:12AM-PM on December 12, 2012!!! 12-12-12!!!!!

I doubt if that will have any effect on earthquakes, but thought I should point it out! Now December 21, 2012 for sure WILL. . . more about that as the date nears! Today I want to first note we will need to watch just a little while yet because there WAS a lot of earthquake energy at California and hopefully crossing California and not being the next big one. ESPECIALLY be watching immediately through New Moon Thursday December 13, 2012!!! Only very recently correlated the NEW MOON as being a slight bump in seismic activity compared to any other average day and especially 7 or 8 days before and after when there seems to be almost NO earthquake activity! Super Typhoon Nanmadol preceded Sumatra 2004 by 24 days but I tracked that earthquake energy past Norway Sea and Mid-Atlantic. . . Super Typhoon Bopha tracks DUE WEST and could strike at any moment, but Day 24 will be December 29 with the Full Moon being December 28, 2012 so we will be watching for a lot to happen at Sumatra, Indonesia and Lima, Peru between now and then. I will revise that 8.9/9.0 later but for now let's say 7.7 to 9.0 Richters and I want all my new followers that are still hanging around just in case something big strikes Los Angeles or California to know that keeping an eye out for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands should turn out to be a very valuable life experience as all my regular followers already know!!! While I can not say for sure this will result in a major tsunami episode, I can say for virtual certain it will probably become the earthquake event of the year!!! Tonight's The Night!!! Hector Mines Earthquake Revisited???

Tonight's the exact number of days and hours the Great L.A. Hector Mines Earthquake of 7.1 Richters happened after the landfall of Hurricane Bret at Texas/Mexico back in August of 1999. On that occasion I was living on Franklin Avenue just off Hollywood Blvd. right in Beautiful Downtown Hollywood, California where I had been spending a lot of my time going around and telling all my neighbors and everybody else that there should be the next big California or Los Angeles Earthquake any day! A few of my lucky friends even got some of the very first "EQ Guy" snail mail letters saying just that! Complete with the EQ Guy Banner Headline especially made for just that purpose and with a US Postage stamp on the front of the envelope just like the old days! Yes, I hope some day one of those will show up somewhere for the world to see, too! That exact moment will be very late tonight at 1:46am tomorrow morning but actually serves only to imitate the exact moment and will probably not simulate those actual results which in the case of Hector Mines included an Amtrak Train derailing up in the desert! At the time I actually drove up there and examined the location, taking pictures of a bridge that was separated from the abutment and on the other side off in the distance the derailed Amtrak Train still parked. It appeared to me upon examination that the train struck a loose krunk in the tectonic scheme and caused the ground to loosen up or possibly drop, causing a chain reaction of other "Micro Plates" up in that region and eventually moving one of the small mountains just a few thousandths of an inch and ultimately causing the Pacific to push against it and shaking all of the ocean water which sort of describes the movement that awoke me up in my Hollywood Apartment early that morning along with, of course, Lori Wexler running out of the apartment next door to me screaming! Just seen the NEW MOON will be this Thursday, December 13, 2012 and there could be something there, although by then I am not sure if there will be any more California earthquake energy since it looks like it is presently subsiding, but I will have an update prior to that evening. Finally, remember Super Typhoon Bopha/Philippines WILL be either a major earthquake at the Andaman/Nicobar Islands of Sumatra, Indonesia, or a huge shaker at or near Lima, Peru in the coming days and week or so with only a tiny chance our West Coast will get any of that. Thinking the similarity with Super Typhoon Nanmadol which preceded the Great Sumatra Earthquake of 2004 might be an excessive example. . . I will still say as big as 9 Richters, but add that it might also be just a 7.7 up to a 9 saying Sumatra 2004 was a Lucky Strike! EQ Guy

Those 3 Richters California Earthquakes Appear To Have Stopped!!!

In the headline of the current Official Prediction I was very deliberate to insist on the name of the town of Lompoc, California because the line of earthquake energy ran directly through that town in early readings of my globe/straight line tool. The date I gave of November 26, 2012 probably reflected a nominal amount of days that such earthquake energy will usually shake the West Coast and the final night of that original Official Prediction or November 26 at 3 minutes, 55 seconds past midnight that town got a 3.0 Richters Earthquake 17 miles to the East-Southeast near the town of Solvang. I continued to watch that area closely for that much larger one that I had posted as 7.1 Richters although originally mentioning as big as 7.9 Richters, but later employing a comparison to the Loma Prieta/World Series Earthquake, I leaned towards the same magnitude as that one or 7.1 Richters thinking no reason to jack the number up too much beyond a similar size. On into early December the number of “Foreshocks” grew at an astounding rate and caught the attention of seismologists who were reportedly observing the Long Valley Caldera for potential activity up around the Mammoth Mountain region which was well within the range of area I originally warned about. As the foreshocks got bigger, I posted when they hit 3, and posted again when they hit 4, then that 5.8 struck near Anchorage, Alaska at which point we hung on every earthquake thinking it might be the next big California shaker. I had mentioned in one of the final paragraphs of my original Official Prediction that this earthquake energy could well go on past California and strike specifically Indonesia or Japan. Then on December 6, 2012 at 2:18am my time a 7.3 Richters earthquake struck at Japan. Now I must add that it appears that there have not been ANY significant earthquakes at California since the moment of that Japan Earthquake and the record seems to indicate that there have been NO more 3 Richters earthquakes at California at all. Nor 4 Richters, nor 5’s. A 6.3 Richters earthquake followed the Japan Earthquake at New Zealand on December 8 at 7am their time, December 7 at 10:19am my time. The earthquakes at California continued on for a day or so but have now noticeably dropped considerably. While Japan has had it’s aftershocks and they more or less still continue as I write, it appears it is possible this is the end of all of that potential earthquake activity for California. In a situation such as this I usually suggest we just simply keep watching for something just in case it is still out there and could strike on one of those recent schedules that I wrote out. Had the New Zealand earthquake struck BEFORE the Japan earthquake it might have caught my attention and I might have known immediately that it was the movement of the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate. . . but it moved AFTER the Japan earthquake and thus one has to figure out that it must have been the same movement, just that New Zealand shook AFTER Japan. In the 2011 series the earthquake at Christchurch preceded the Japan Earthquake albeit the same type of tectonic plate movement in every other way. Finally, there is one more big earthquake in the line-up and that would be the next major Sumatra Earthquake with a possible big tsunami and all that which could strike this week or in the range of this week or next as big as 8.9 Richters but let’s give the range of 8.1 to 8.9 since we are talking about the energy from Super Typhoon Bopha at the Philippines on December 4, 2012. This line also crossed Lima, Peru where it would be a HUGE Earthquake if and when the energy reaches South America also this week or next, but both could be extended out 30 days or so if needed. I had to decide if Japan was the energy from Super Typhoon Bopha, or if it was the California earthquake and as soon as I figured in the New Zealand Earthquake it became very clear that the California Earthquake may now be past and I apologize to the California and National Earthquake Prediction folks for taking up all their time and hope they all understand that there WAS a real earthquake coming and will continue to accept my reports in the future. Final Continuation of Official Prediction For Lompoc, California at 7.1 Richters

This is the second update to my original Official Prediction for Lompoc, California before November 26, 2012 and I want to first note that Lompoc, California did in fact have an earthquake strike with the epicenter just 20 miles away and exactly 3 minutes, 55 seconds past the end of that date of November 26 at three minutes, 55 seconds past midnight on November 27, 2012. While the Update had already been filed due to the onset of the full moon, I wish to now give the final extension to this Official Prediction for a 7.1 Richters Earthquake to strike at Lompoc, California as I have stated. (In the original Official Prediction and the Update) The earthquake of 3 minutes past midnight on November 27 was just 3 Richters or so and of course we are watching for a huge earthquake here and should continue to watch for it.

They have been getting countless small earthquakes near Coso Junction, California which is situated almost on the exact line that leads from the landfall of Hurricane Sandy at New Jersey to Lompoc, California and I expect this earthquake energy to continue past Coso Junction and strike at or near the epicenter of that 3.0 Richters November 27 earthquake. Although keep in mind Coso Junction is probably also a potential epicenter for a 7.1, and New Zealand which is geographically next in line just got a 6.3 today and would be due for one in those same coming days. Finally this whole entire Official Prediction will come to an end by December 21, 2012 which will be Day 52 after the landfall of Hurricane Sandy at New Jersey and a sure thing this earthquake will strike by that very historical date. That is that I do not have any events that have gone beyond 51 or 52 days making it a sure thing this one will have struck by that date. I have to note that the recent landfall at the Philippines of Super Typhoon Bopha on December 5, 2012 at CAT 5 may leave a lot of earthquake energy out there but not due to directly affect our West Coast or California.

I realized this week that ALL of the landfalls on our East Coast and including at the Gulf of Mexico have led to major earthquakes on our West Coast, that is unless I only have the successful ones listed and have lost track of storms that lacked results. Those successful ones that I am accounting for herein are: Hurricanes Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne preceding the 2004 Parkfield Earthquake, Hurricane Bret near Brownsville,. TX on August 23, 1999 preceding the Hector Mines Earthquake of October 16, 1999, Hurricane Hugo preceding the Loma Prieta/World Series Quake, Unnamed Windstorm at Gulf preceding L.A. Bottled Water Plant Earthquake of April 2000, and may I add Great 1992 Tornado Outbreak preceding the June 28, 1992 Landers Earthquake. On that last one I just today located a search result of “Foreshocks of California Earthquakes” and came up with that Landers Earthquake of 1992 being notable for the foreshocks that occurred prior to the main shock. I want to add here without doing the additional research that could all those foreshocks have coincided with the individual events in that Great 1992 Tornado Outbreak?

The exact date of this upcoming earthquake could be December 12, 2012 at 1:46am due to the exact number of days and hours after the landfall of Hurricane Bret at South Padre Island, Texas when the Hector Mines Earthquake struck, or 43 Days, 7 Hours, and 46 Minutes. Of course I would insist on this Official Prediction being objective and must include that the same number of days and hours after the landfall of Hurricane Hugo that the Loma Prieta earthquake struck, or 25 Days, 17 hours, and 5 minutes, came out at November 24, 2012 at 11:05am and so you could say that this upcoming major earthquake could strike at any time between then and December 12, 2012 and again I must add that by December 21, 2012 this earthquake will have struck. Japan 7.3 Richters! Keep Watching California!!!

Yes, my phone chimed very early this morning with Japan 7.3 Richters and I turned the TV on to find a tsunami alert, but they were not extending it Pacific wide and there were no major aftershocks! I suppose we might keep an eye on Japan for an 8.3 to come along at some point but for now I want to answer folks who might be wanting to know if Japan was the California shaker we'd been watching for. No. Rather probably that edge of the Pacific Tectonic Plate rattling Post-Philippines Super Typhoon. Everything is still running on time as far as the upcoming California Earthquake and California does appear to continue to get the small shakers that just might indicate a 7.1 Richters Shaker in the very near future. While some movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate could cause this potential earthquake epicenter to venture north of Lompoc/S.B., I will maintain Lompoc, California as my epicenter. . . watch Frisco closely, though! Shakers Hit 4 Richters! 3 For 3 = Sure Thing???

Now looks like the earthquakes are reaching the 4 to 5 Richters range after a 4.4 Richters shaker struck at the Triple Plate Junction near the California/Oregon state line, so we should maybe be aware that they COULD be getting bigger in accordance with the methods China used in 1975 to accurately predict the Haicheng Earthquake and possibly save like 100,000 lives. Also figured out yesterday and already mentioned it in my late last night EQ Blog, that all three of the other known hurricanes/big windstorms DID go on to precede major earthquakes! ALL THREE! Three For Three!!! Those are Hurricane Hugo-Loma Prieta/World Series Quake, Hurricane Bret-Hector Mines Quake, and Unnamed Gulf Windstorm-L.A. Bottled Water Plant Earthquake of 2000! To my knowledge there are NO big windstorms that threatened our West Coast with an earthquake that DID NOT ultimately strike!!! My Guess for exact location is Lompoc/S.B., my guess for date, December 12, 2012 1:46am or this coming Wednesday so Be Prepared! Could strike at any moment!!! TPJ, Coso Junction, is Alaska Next Tonight? 6 Richters?

Got several fairly big shakers up at that Triple Plate Junction today! 2.7 Richters, 3.1 Richters, and 4.4 Richters and of course that adds up to 10 Richters. . . but just sayin' i want to now guess that after another good shaker also struck Coso Junction early this morning that it might be time for the next large Alaska shaker, say 6. While driving today it occurred to me that ALL of the last three big windstorms that I followed including Hurricane Hugo, Hurricane Bret, and Unnamed Gulf of Mexico Windstorm ALL led to Loma Prieta, Hector Mines and my L.A. Water Plant Earthquake of 2000!!! Therefore up to this point it looks on the surface like a 100% Chance of this one striking California. . . and probably Lompoc/S.B.!!! Unless there is a big historic windstorm hidden somewhere that did not cause a California Earthquake? The exception I suppose you could say was Hurricane Isabelle which led to about an 8 Richters Earthquake at China but was not headed for California, and one that made landfall not that long ago at Jacksonville, Florida but was also not headed for California. There's A Lot Shaking! Now The Triple Plate Junction, Too!!!

Readers in Northern California and Oregon might have noticed yesterday I mentioned that nothing had shaken yet at the Triple Plate Junction. . . and NOW there has been a small swarm up there around Eureka, and Coos Bay last night. For what it is worth the 5.8 Alaska Earthquake struck just one hour or so after Super Typhoon Bopha made landfall at the Philippines with wind gusts reported at 121 mph. The shaking at California seems like it is continuing and on appearance looks very much like all the shaking that preceded the Haicheng Earthquake which was very accurately predicted saving an estimated 100,000 lives!!! 5.8 Richters Near Anchorage!!! Getting Bigger!!!

I continue to study the Haicheng China Prediction and today found that many of the small earthquakes were 1 Richter. I probably don't need to tell most of you that if we count up all of the earthquakes around California and include those of the 1 Richter variety, then we are going to fairly easily compete with the anomalies that preceded Haicheng! So far the biggest, if you want to call it a foreshock, shook very near Anchorage late this afternoon their time at 5.8 Richters with reports of violent shaking and so far 665 "Felt Reports" from just that city alone! With even the tiny suburbs of Palmer and Wasilla each getting close to 100 reports of their own! Many of those towns also had reported Saturdays Alaska Earthquake of 5.3 Richters, too! So, I am no expert at telling you all how to apply the knowledge learned from the Haicheng, China Prediction to all of what is going on here right now. . . but I would say that everybody should start thinking seriously about being prepared for the big one! We could now be in the final hours before it strikes! Sorry, I do not have figures for such an instance as a lot of small foreshocks and nothing else, what I do know is there was also Super Typhoon Bophas landfall at Philippines this afternoon with 160 mph winds and that earthquake energy will add to all of this! The Shakers will probably keep getting larger until they hit 7 or 8 Richters and so especially watch Los Angeles and Lompoc/S.B. area! Be Watching and Be Prepared!!! The EQ Alert Guy

Here's My Review of Haicheng, China Prediction

I have now reviewed the material recently published regarding the successful prediction of the Haicheng China Earthquake of 1975 and it looks like it was a lot of small earthquakes similar to the small ones California has recently got. I was even surprised to note that there are only ONE or TWO earthquakes of 5 Richters in their "Precursor Anamoly." That being the case we should just about be there! One of those was even a 4.7 that got a lot of discussion at their "Earthquake Offices" where all this information was collected and all of those big decisions were made. Difference being Chairman Mao was in charge over in China! Here, CEPEC and NEPEC are in charge. I also just noticed a few of these places are getting a lot of rain and want to add that rain seems to loosen stuck fault lines and tends to make them shake. So Keep Watching for this 7.1 to 7.6 Richters Earthquake and Be Prepared! EQ Guy

Swarm Strikes at Coso Junction Early Today! Be Prepared!!!

There was somewhat of a swarm very early this morning at Coso Junction again! My phone chimed around 4am with ANOTHER 3.7 Richters, there was another 3.7 about the same time very early on Friday Morning up near Coso Juncition, too. When I checked I found over an hours worth of 1 and 2 Richters earthquakes that appears to have struck at the exact same coordinates! All totaled 14.8 Richters in 33 Minutes!!! Just re-checked that Alaska shaker from early Saturday and NOW there are at least one whole page of responses! 12 from Homer, 18 from Kodiak Island and 10 or more from Anchorage around a hundred miles north. Wouldn't have probably noticed a 5.3 up that way if not for the fact that we had been watching the movements along that series of fault lines and am not surprised it moved enough to collide up that way somehow! This is only my own hypothesis, but it could be earthquake energy pushing against the Pacific Plate and forcing something to move north. . . also has occured to me that there seems to have not been any movement at the Triple Plate Junction in between there which means Offshore Oregon like Coos Bay, Crescent City, or Eureka. Earthquakes Hit 5.6 Richters at Alaska Last Night!!!!! Keep Watching!!!

Phone chimed late last night with a 5.6 Richters earthquake at Alaska, across the bay from Homer and while there appears this morning to be no responses, I am still now leaning towards calling this major shaker just slightly more than "Garden Variety." Yes, we know they routinely get earthquakes in that immediate vicinity and it is also ringed with several major volcanoes, but anytime I am tracking a large potential earthquake and this happens I generally count it towards the grand total. That said I now want to begin watching for those 5 Richters earthquakes as I just COINCIDENTALLY said in yesterdays EQ Blog! Therefore I went ahead and calculated the number of days between Hurricane Bret at Mexico/Texas on August 23, 1999 and the Hector Mines Earthquake very near Los Angeles on October 16, 1999 and came up with 43 Days, 7 Hours, and 46 Minutes. . . giving me the date of December 12, 2012 at 1:46am as the potential exact second that this next major California Earthquake might happen! Keep Watching because it could very easily strike at any moment before that date! That upcoming date will just serve especially to alert some of the folks around L.A. who were in that one as well, one that I just so happened to have alerted all my neighbors up in Hollywood of at the time! 1300 Richters of Earthquake Energy So Far!!! Be Prepared!!!

It is presently Night Two after the full moon and I seem to recall both major New Zealand Earthquakes striking on like about the second night after full moons! That would be tonight and while there has been NO 6 Richters earthquake as of yet to be associated with this full moon. . . . . keep watching because, of course many of you know, there WILL BE!!! If not immediately, then you are also well aware that we are getting more and more overdue for something HUGE to shake! Foreshocks continue for Los Angeles, but keep in mind the December/January 2010 Baja California Swarm came to precede the Eureka 2010 earthquake. . . and the now Great Haiti Earthquake! This one should be all of that! The Grand Total of California Foreshocks so far is over 1300 Richters!!! So watch tonight and remember December 21, 2012 is coming!!! Be Prepared!!! EQ Guy

UPDATE OF OFFICIAL PREDICTION FOR A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE TO STRIKE LOMPOC, CALIFORNIA BEFORE NOVEMBER 26, 2012

First, I want to note that the banner headline of the Official Prediction we are talking about here states November 26, 2012 and I want to add the full moon will be November 28, 2012 and so this Official Prediction will have to be extended at least through the end of the month of November of 2012 to include the full moon. Beyond the end of November 2012 please also note this is genuine earthquake energy and as of this writing there is no concise timeline for this sort of event, therefore we will mostly just go on to watch for this large scale earthquake event that eventually WILL STRIKE somewhere and it is only a matter if it strikes at California or decides on a lot of small shakers there and goes on to be the next big Hawaii, New Zealand, Indonesia, or Japan Earthquake and I suppose possibly tsunami through December 21, 2012.

Next, I want to add that it looks to me like California has been experiencing a HUGE amount of what just might be foreshocks and while these have mostly been in the range of 2 Richters, there have now been a few in the 3 Range. It is my opinion without having researched this point extensively, that in general when I view the latest earthquakes, this list is usually New Guinea, Indonesia, Fiji, Japan, and etc. with California making just an occasional appearance. The other way that I can judge here is that I will frequently view the map of Los Angeles, where all of the most recent earthquakes appear, and there quite commonly are none. Of course the last time I checked there were about a dozen just on the L.A. map alone before I realized that map only ran from Ventura County to Long Beach! Yes, if you Zoom-Out to the larger region or toggle over to the east there will be many, many more and that’s still not even counting Soledad, or the Pinnacles region much less the Frisco, Santa Rosa, and Eureka areas! It does appear there is a very large number of small shakers going on in California and since we know there is earthquake energy heading that way, you might assume these to all be foreshocks of something. Lastly, in the coming days if we begin to see more 3’s, some 4’s, and I think any 5’s at all, there will almost certainly be a major shaker to follow, but I still can not say that for sure.

I have no way of knowing if we are experiencing any indifferences in the radon levels since I do not presently know where those sorts of readings come from as far as California is concerned. I do know that in the days following the verdict at L’Aquila, Italy where those Seismologists who refuted that now accurate prediction resulting in 300 deaths, were sentenced to 6 years in prison, lost there licenses, and must pay victims, that town recently again was found to have high radon readings and this time it was decided to evacuate L’Aquila, Italy! As of this writing you can see many pictures of that town full of now empty streets while those folks have been safely evacuated and we wait to see what will happen there. Note that many of our own “Brilliant Seismologists” signed a statement asking that those former men of science NOT be punished, which ironically would have resulted in NO action being taken today. Similarly, NO action will probably be taken in California this week.

Yesterday, I found a great old movie titled “The Great Los Angeles Earthquake” in which a seismologist connects an identical series of small earthquakes to the possibility of a 7.5 Richters major earthquake striking in just days. It rang true as far as these seismologists all believing the small earthquakes to be foreshocks and the movie listed Name Edited Lady from Cal Tech as a Technical Advisor. Where is Name Edited Lady when we need her? If these are foreshocks can we count on her to act in real life like the lead character, who sort of resembled her, acted in the movie? Will Name Edited Lady or any other California Seismology person inform the Mayor and Governor like in the movie, and in time for people to prepare for an earthquake? Also, Ed Begley, Jr. was in this Great 1990 movie available on DVD although I borrowed a copy from a library.

It has occurred to me in the days since this original filing that there have now been many other incidents of hurricanes, typhoons, and tornadoes preceding California earthquakes including Hurricane Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne preceding the 2004 Parkfield Earthquake, The Great June 1992 Tornado Outbreak preceding the June 28, 1992 Landers Earthquake, Hurricane John at Johnston Atoll preceding the 1994 Cape Mendocino Earthquake, and Typhoon Rokes’ landfall at Japan preceding that October 2011 shaker at Coos Bay, Oregon where I flew out to and personally experienced myself! There had also been Hurricane Hugos’ landfall at Charleston preceding the 1989 Loma Prieta/World Series Earthquake and now we have the landfall at New Jersey of Hurricane Sandy. Will the landfall of Hurricane Sandy at New Jersey be followed by a California Earthquake and be added to this list?

This Update may be the last chance for millions of people to be warned! There is only so much I personally can do in the final days before this upcoming potential Major Earthquake strikes the Los Angeles area! The record will now reflect the fact that I did herein serve notice via E-Mail to both the California Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council, and the National Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council and followed closely to the normal submission standards that have been explained to me on more than one occasion by more than one person from the Councils. I want to note here that at least one of those officials was very specific in reiterating to me that I should NOT submit to each of the individual members of the Councils and that my submissions will be reviewed by the Intake Secretaries that I submit to, with them deciding if anything should be done further such as I suppose the Chairman or other Council members reviewing in this case the present submission. While I personally truly wish myself or somebody could do more to tell the people of California to prepare, these rules are quite similar to those used by both my Carpenters Union, and my Screen Actors Guild Union where it is the job of the employee only to notify the next person in the “Chain of Command” therefore leaving any additional work on any matter to the appropriate persons. Similar to both of those unions, if something goes wrong here, I hope the higher up folks will pay dearly! This may be their last chance to do something, here, and then again all of this earthquake energy could roar on past California and strike outside of their jurisdiction in Indonesia, or Japan.

To the everyday California people reading this, pass the message around to other Californians so that everybody hopefully knows there is major earthquake energy heading for them! I will be very sorry if this major shaker strikes L.A. and someone asks why we didn’t tell them when we knew!

Huge California Earthquake May Be Imminent!!!!! 7.9 Richters!!!???

Today I want to write this in a format that might appear to be a huge warning, but I want to add this disclaimer to the blog post to remind everybody that I have no degree in Seismology or Geology and write all of my Earthquake Blog stuff with a basic carpenter apprenticeship and some years working on cars and at a junkyard and some other basic construction experience, so there may be no basis at all whatsoever for some of the assertions I make in the following:

CALIFORNIA DUE TO GET MAJOR EARTHQUAKE!!! 7.9 RICHTERS!!!

AS OF FRIDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 23, 2012 THERE HAVE NOW BEEN MANY SMALL EARTHQUAKES STRIKING CALIFORNIA AND THIS COULD MEAN A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE WILL STRIKE IN THE COMING HOURS AND DAYS! EVERYBODY SHOULD BE PREPARED, THIS EARTHQUAKE COULD BE AS BIG AS 7 TO 7.9 RICHTERS AND PRESENTLY LOOKS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STRIKE AROUND THE LOS ANGELES AREA, WITH SEVERAL FORESHOCKS ALREADY STRIKING AT SANTA MONICA BAY, WRIGHTWOOD, AND UNIVERSAL CITY!!! HAVE BATTERIES IN FLASHLIGHTS, BOTTLED WATER, AND SOME EMERGENCY TOOLS HANDY. THIS EARTHQUAKE IS GOING TO STRIKE CALIFORNIA BEFORE THE END OF NOVEMBER 2012. BE PREPARED!!!

Now, that message in all caps might sound more certain of the potential for earthquake energy being released than my normal EQ Blog, but also keep in mind that New Jersey just got another 2.5 Richters shaker this morning and that is actually more than I might have thought. It might indicate that all of the small earthquakes at California are pushing against the San Andreas Fault and it is kicking back. . . shaking New Jersey one more time before it shakes California again! As I said in the above example of a more imminent EQ Alert, everybody should be prepared!!! EQ Guy

Still Getting California Earthquakes!!!

Just within the last couple hours there have now been several more small earthquakes around California. Earlier today it occurred to me the bulk of these earthquakes seem to be on the North American Tectonic Plate side of California and it is possible that this is causing some earthquake energy to be placed on the San Andreas Fault and eventually to the Pacific Tectonic Plate side of the Plate Boundary. There should then be hopefully small earthquakes around Malibu, Santa Barbara, Long Beach and possibly Frisco areas very near San Andreas and West of that fault line. Keep Watching and Be Prepared California because I know it will be Thanksgiving Day in a few hours here. . . but there continues to be a Major Earthquake lurking!!! EQ Guy

Earthquakes struck Studio City, Wrightwood, Fontana, and Portland all today!

Many, Many shakers this morning! Universal Studios, Wrightwood, Fontana/California Speedway, and Portland, Oregon all got 2 and 3 Richters Earthquakes just since 8 O'Clock on Monday Morning!!! Since last blog!!! Also note L'Aquila, Italy has been EVACUATED! There could be a major earthquake coming for California and it might be only moments away so please be prepared!!! God Bless! EQ Guy

IT IS TIME FOR SOME SERIOUS EARTHQUAKE PREPARATIONS!!!

The next major California Earthquake might only be days away right now. The past few days have been small shaker after small shaker after small shaker including several right in the heart of Los Angeles and many right in the immediate vicinity of San Francisco and Oakland. As a general rule just all of the little shocks alone might be enough to indicate there is something major coming.

While there has just recently been a judgment against several Seismology people at L’Aquila, Italy, it now forces us to ask the question of what should we be doing here in the United States given basically the same circumstances? Of course the present series of small shakers is not exactly the same circumstances, what would we do if someone in California just so happened to come up with a high radon reading similar to the conditions that preceded the 2009 L’Aquila Earthquake? Absent similar laws as Italy probably not much. That is not to say folks in California might spend their time better by drinking expensive wine, which was one of the statements charged to the Seismologists in L’Aquila. Rather, it may be time to start thinking more along the lines of some serious earthquake preparation.

With today being November 17, 2012 this potential next major California earthquake should be striking in about the next week or so. It should be in the range of 7 to 7.9 Richters and should strike between Los Angeles and San Francisco and by the looks of the fairly big series of foreshocks it looks like all of this earthquake energy is really headed there and right on time, too! Best case scenario we just get a series of medium sized earthquakes such as was what I refer to as the Mettler Swarm back on September 22, 2005 listed here: http://www.scsn.org/2005mettler.html as a series of 12 earthquakes in the range of 1.9 to 4.7 Richters that struck over about 35 minutes near Wheeler Ridge, California. That intense series of earthquakes probably released about the same amount of major earthquake energy as this now upcoming earthquake, but over the better part of an hour of ground movement rather than one huge jolt which all by itself might have been one good 7 Richters shaker just south of Bakersfield.

I have been asked a few times just recently by people who wanted to know what they should do? Is there an earthquake heading for them and what does that mean for them and their families? In answer to those questions it occurred to me that it might be time to organize folks who will be needed at the epicenter for rescue operations. Everybody should have flashlights handy and keep them nearby and with fresh batteries, too! Public officials might, if not this time then in the future, have some kind of a plan at the ready for the moment this or any major earthquake strikes and be able to immediately call or radio the other members of the response team with all of the important information. I personally turn immediately to my own personal transistor radio and have listened intently to KNX in Los Angeles for the latest updates on exactly where the earthquake has struck, this will hopefully be of some help to first responders who head right out to where the help is needed the most. Finally they like to say to have a few days worth of food and water on hand because that is how long it might be before such services are restored.

Whether or not this earthquake strikes California this time or not, we will need to be far better organized than we are right now! We will need a lot of answers right now for a lot of these questions that I am only able to give rough outlines for answers, and eventually with the state of earthquake prediction being what it is right now we will need to take some of these alerts far more seriously and be prepared for real at some point! I want you all to understand full well that this is not the time to be relaxing and drinking expensive wine. . . it is the time to start being prepared for the next major California Earthquake! 2 Small Earthquakes Strike Heart of Los Angeles!!!

I am concerned that there were two small earthquakes that just struck in a heavily populated area of downtown Los Angeles that might also be an area that is overdue to be the epicenter of a Major Earthquake. The first of these two was 1.7 Richters Near San Gabriel, California. San Gabriel is like the name or location of old downtown Los Angeles and still the location of the mission there. This epicenter is just 2 miles from Rosemead, 2 miles from Monterey Park, and another mile or so north of Montebello. The second of these two earthquakes struck 1 mile from Monterey Park, 2 miles from Rosemead, and 2 miles north of Montebello at 1.1 Richters. All of the years that I have watched the Los Angeles area there have not been any epicenters in this neighborhood where millions of folks call their home. These epicenters are right at the heart of an area of Los Angeles that might not have been touched by an earthquake in a very long time and I would not be going into these details if not for the fact that we are expecting a 7.9 Richters earthquake to strike that part of California before the end of November 2012. There have been at least two other notable similar EQ Alerts for this region that have been exact hits albeit smaller than the predicted magnitude. Those were a 4.2 that struck Oakland on July 20, 2007 very near the exact date I had discussed and almost at the exact spot, and 2011 when a major earthquake was headed for Northern California and Southern Oregon and I actually caught a flight to Frisco and was there the exact night it struck Coos Bay, Oregon on October 12, 2012. The question occurred to me as to what should be done with the fact that there probably will be at least somewhat of an earthquake, and it looks like we know this ahead of time so what do we do? When asked this I only am able to right off hand tell people to be prepared, but the map makes it look like there are thousands of homes right at the epicenters of those two earlier today small shakers. . . what if a big earthquake strikes those epicenters? Other than sending out my EQ Alerts and as needed my Official Predictions I do not know what else I should do. With that L’Aquila verdict now it seems even more serious as to what action anybody should take here. EQ Guy

NEW MOON AND POSSIBLE ECLIPSE FOR NOVEMBER 13, 2012!!! Big Alert!!!???

First I must go over the two existing major Earthquake Alerts and Official Predictions that we are presently watching. They are Richmond, New York, Ottawa, Canada and Indonesia, etc. noting that Myanmar has been getting a lot of shakers over in that region right this moment. The other major one is for Lompoc, California with that earthquake energy crossing Ohio, Illinois, and Missouri, etc. right this moment. There is just a slightly higher chance that something major could shake on November 13, 2012 since all of this stuff is happening right this moment and now the New Moon occurs right in the middle of it on Tuesday Night this week. Of course we will also have to watch those existing shakers and aftershocks going on at Queen Charlotte Island and Guatemala for yet some more major shaking perhaps added to by higher tides or whatever a New Moon might do there. All of these alerts will continue on past the New Moon in the event that Tuesday does not produce any higher amount of earthquakes. Lompoc, California and that very shaky region should continue on under intense major earthquake watch all the way up to the end of November of 2012 because the possibility they may be getting as big as 7.9 Richters earthquake will remain out there. The Richmond alert only runs a few more days like to November 16 and then moves on to points north and far beyond. California has a far greater chance of becoming a real major earthquake event and rather soon, too!!! Whether anything will occur with the New Moon is unknown. Be Prepared!!! Thank-You for reading!!! OFFICIAL PREDICTION FOR A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE TO STRIKE LOMPOC, CALIFORNIA BEFORE NOVEMBER 26, 2012

On the day of the Northridge Earthquake of January 17, 1994, I immediately began to research all of the things that might have had something to do with that major earthquake. The first thing that I discovered was that in the days prior to the Northridge Earthquake the entire country had been experiencing severe winter conditions. These consisted of sub-zero temperatures, two feet of snow all across the country, and fifty-five mile per hour winds as well as four feet of snow in the Sierra Mountains. I thought it believable that the combination of all these things could possibly have affected the North American Tectonic Plate in such a manner so as to cause some sort of breakage or shaking out at the tectonic plate boundary on our West Coast and so I continued on in my research.

I next headed to my local library with the names of a few different historical earthquakes to see what all preceded them and discovered something completely different all together. I discovered that the vast majority of major earthquakes were actually not preceded by severe winter conditions, which I deemed could affect the movement of the tectonic plates, rather most of the remaining earthquakes that I researched on that day had been preceded by the landfall of a major hurricane or typhoon. I didn’t have to think about it a real long time to be convinced that the tectonic plates were being moved by all of these different things with the result of that movement being major earthquakes.

I continued on in my research, everyday adding a few different major earthquakes and sometimes even researching a major hurricane from throughout history just to see if it would actually be followed by a major earthquake at some point. It wasn’t too far along in this research that this process quickly became streamlined into just a few moments on a microfilm machine and my research for the day was quickly all completed. Sometimes as fast as about five minutes is all it would take me to pull out a roll of microfilm when I knew the date of a major earthquake or hurricane from looking it up in a brick and mortar encyclopedia. . . until I would find either a hurricane followed by an earthquake, or a major earthquake that had been preceded by a hurricane or typhoon making landfall. Of course a few still came up as “January Earthquakes” and had been preceded by severe winter conditions, exactly as the Northridge Earthquake where all this started.

Later in 1994 a major hurricane named Hurricane John actually made landfall, or passed within 16 miles rather, of Johnston Atoll on August 25, 1994 and I began to write out my “EQ Alerts” and send them by U.S. Mail to my friends that I had worked with in the Motion Picture Business that had addresses in California and the Los Angeles area. Just 7 days later on September 1, 1994 there was around a 7.1 Richters earthquake that struck up around Northern California at Cape Mendocino. That was the year 1994 and I have been employing this system that I today like to call my “Precision Plate Tectonics Theory” ever since, frequently being as correct and accurate as I was in those days immediately following the Northridge Earthquake of January 17, 1994.

Today I am writing to discuss the landfall of yet another major hurricane. This one is Hurricane Sandy that made landfall at the East Coast of the United States around New Jersey, and New York on October 29, 2012 with winds that had been reported as high as 120 mph while bearing just North of due West. Additionally there were just two earthquakes that have struck that immediate region of Hurricane Sandys landfall, those being a 2.0 Richters Earthquake in New Jersey, and a 2.0 Richters Earthquake in Connecticut on November 4, 2012 and November 5, 2012 respectively. While the usual use of the Richter Scale is as a nominal numbering system more commonly referred to as “2.0 on the Richter Scale,” I have modified my use of the Richter Scale to name the individual increments after the founder of the scale or “Richters.” This is a sort of naming method similar to such other scales named after Volt, Watt, Amp, Henry, and Etc. Hereinafter I may refer to the individual steps in the widely recognized Richter Scale. . . as 1 Richter, 2 Richters, 3 Richters or 4, etc. I think the naming of those steps in this manner is yet another advance that goes well with all these other great advances going on these days.

SUMMATION OF PRIOR GREAT EQ ALERTS AND RESULTING EARTHQUAKES

In the now many years since I have employed my theories and wrote out my “EQ Alerts” I have had many good and great ones that have been very accurate. The landfall of Hurricane Hugo was on September 21, 1989 and the World Series/Loma Prieta Earthquake then struck on October 17, 1989 on Day 26 after that landfall. Day 26 after the landfall of Hurricane Sandy at New Jersey will fall on November 24, 2012 and I might expect this Brand New Upcoming Major Earthquake, which could well be the next big California Earthquake, to strike at between 7 and 7.9 Richters before that day, or by the end of November 2012. Thereby saying it should take about the same amount of time for the energy from Hurricane Sandy to cross North America as it took for similar earthquake energy to cross North America in the days following the landfall of Hurricane Hugo.

Other such huge windstorms that I have also tracked that became huge major earthquakes are Cyclone Nargis at Myanmar/Great Sichuan China Earthquake, Hurricane Katrina/Great Islamabad Earthquake, and Super Typhoon Nanmadol/Great Sumatra Earthquake of 2004. Each of those were big windstorms that had major landfalls where the resultant earthquake energy lead directly to the epicenter of a major earthquake just a few days later. Similarly the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Yasi at Queensland, Australia on February 3, 2011 preceded both the Great Christchurch Earthquake of February 22, 2011 and Great Honshu Japan Earthquakes of March 11, 2011 although in the case of the Japan earthquake it appears to have dealt more with basic tectonic plate movement than my usual straight line theory. Christchurch is situated directly in the wake of the line of energy that would have been created by Tropical Cyclone Yasi. Ironically I have a great Twitter message or “Tweet” as well as an EQ Blog entry that you can still view containing the name of the town Christchurch in the headline. In addition to the name of the town of Lompoc, California which has had at least one major historical earthquake in 1927, and could be in for another, I want to give a few other town names that might also become the epicenter of this Next Big California Earthquake! Those town names are as follows: Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Orcutt, Arroyo Grande, Paso Robles, Goleta, Santa Barbara Channel, Ojai, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Tehachapi, Bakersfield, Lake Isabella, Arvin, Mettler, Coalinga, King City, Carmel, Carmel Valley, Hollister, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Hayward, Daly City, San Francisco, South Lake Tahoe, Mammoth Mountain, Bishop, Owens Lake, Ridgecrest, Lone Pine, Shafter, Wasco, Avenal, Lake Nacimiento, Mono City, Big Pine, Independence, Olancha, Coso Junction, Indian Wells, Boron, Trona, Argus, Panamint Valley, Panamint Springs, Dolomite, Stove Pipe Wells, Death Valley Junction, Los Angeles, Landers, Hector Mines, Acton, Littlerock, Pearblossom, Wrightwood, High Desert, and Ludlow, California. Also Goldfield, Bonnie Claire, Las Vegas, and Incline Village in Nevada. This list of towns is meant to illustrate the general region where this earthquake will most likely strike and while you will surely say that it is all inclusive, it merely only gives the names of towns that are WITHIN the exact line of earthquake energy that is traveling across the United States from New Jersey in accordance with my “Go Straight Theory,” where I track such energy by following a straight line normally with the use of a globe since maps do not inherently have the same spherical abilities.

Finally I think I will try to avoid attaching my “Curriculum Vitae” today by adding that I do not have a degree in Seismology, but rather consider myself a very good Amateur Seismologist with a basic degree from an Apprenticeship with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. I went on to work in acting and recently obtained my Screen Actors Guild card and am presently very busy with a lot of Film Production and Television Production work in the Chicago area. Due to the fact that Major Earthquakes such as this upcoming one could always have an effect on my friends in Hollywood, I began this work on when the next major earthquake might strike and where in order to attempt to provide some advance notice to all my West Coast Friends. I have been very successful at this, too, and now routinely enjoy filing copies of these writings with the National and California Earthquake Prediction Councils to make them “Official.”

New Very Big EQ Alert: Lompoc, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez!!!!!

This is now a Very Big EQ Alert and it will include several towns NORTH of Santa Barbara starting at Lompoc which actually looks like it might be very close to the actual epicenter but keep in mind that there are any number of other towns right in the general area around Lompoc such as Santa Ynez and Los Olivos and stretching out towards Bakersfield and Tehachapi. The line travels north from there towards San Francisco but does not actually make it all the way to that city however there are a good many towns in between that I will update the list of later this week. I am giving the Magnitude at 7, but am sorry to say it could go as high as 7.9 Richters and so I might give a range of 6.5 to 7.9, but today mostly want to just update everybody that there is probably a New Official Prediction coming very soon! Just double and triple checked this one and it looks like the earthquake energy from the landfall of Hurricane Sandy at New Jersey, heads West or WNW and on a direct line for Lompoc, California but Santa Barbara and Los Angeles are just to the South. This will be a fairly big earthquake around 6.5 Richters and probably with a few good aftershocks. I will of course have more updates in the days to come, and the window on this earthquake is before next Wednesday, but the World Series Earthquake struck 18 days after the landfall of Hurricane Hugo and Day 18 here will be Nov. 16. 7.7 Queen Charlotte!!! Hurricane Sandy Making Landfall!!! MORE Earthquake Energy Coming!!!

In January of 2010 there was a big shaker at Eureka, California and I had mentioned that it could be movement of the North American Tectonic Plate. . . then a couple days later the Haiti Earthquake struck! Today I want to say that last nights 7.7 Queen Charlotte Island Earthquake near Vancouver could ALSO be that type of movement of the North American Tectonic Plate and Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, or many Islands in the Caribbean could shake next!!!!! It had also occured to me that because I was watching Fairbanks, Edmonton, and New Madrid. . . that when the Queen Charlotte Earthquake struck, maybe we should move the line over to Oklahoma/Texas? That would be a fairly big earthquake for that region with a 7.7 as a foreshock you know! So everybody in those very, very shaky places should be prepared! EQ Guy

New Major Alert: Washington, DC, New York, Boston Regions!!!

The landfalls that I have just observed to be taking place at Jamaica, and Cuba of Hurricane Sandy, appear to probably be a fairly large amount of new earthquake energy that will be crossing just past Charleston, NC, and then crossing North America straight through Chesapeake Bay on a route just a degree or two East of Due North. This line will cross just west of New York and continue on North on a line that crosses West of Boston and on North.

I will update this information in the coming days, but as of tonight Hurricane Sandy had just been upgraded to a Category 2 Hurricane and had a huge well defined eye as it made landfall at far east Cuba just east of Guantanamo Bay. Those islands are already under an alert and Official Prediction and will ALSO be affected by this new one!!! Could go as high as 7 Richters, although the other one may not have been as high. . . this one not only increases the Magnitude, but also increases the chances of something major shaking as well. There will be a certain amount of trouble with the energy traveling this route past Charleston. A few of the places that this new earthquake energy will be crossing are what I might consider "Shaky Places" and I don't think that needs any additional explanation.

I have mostly studied books about earthquakes and started out working at a junk-yard, advancing to an Apprenticeship, but that is the sum total of my education along this lines. I also hold a certificate from acting school in Chicago from 1989-1990. I am by no means a Degreed Seismologist, rather a very good Amature Seismologist.

This Major Earthquake could shake that region, but should NOT be a lot larger than the biggest ones that region occasionally gets. Then again, they HAVE been getting shakers and should start learning to be prepared and especially due to the recent L'Aquila Verdict also now be keeping aware of all signs that there could be an earthquake heading for them!!!!! Hurricane Jamaica! Earthquake Jamaica!?

Hurricane Sandy is in the Caribbean heading directly for a landfall at Jamaica in the coming hours and I just want to also say I have mentioned Jamaica in a recent Official Prediction since it is my opinion there is some earthquake energy heading for Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Haiti as well. While there was a smallish earthquake up in the Yukon early today, and two very small shakers at New Madrid, these do not indicate too large of earthquake energy bearing down on those islands so unless the energy of Hurricane Sandy and the fact that I also heard the full moon is coming all add up to major earthquake energy, then it should probably be more towards the end of the window of that recent Official Prediction. However, I just thought with a now major hurricane right there at Jamaica it was time to write this EQ Blog! Recent Official Prediction is still active for New Madrid, and Poplar Bluff, Missouri although I am now looking more over towards Southern Illinois/Indiana in the 5 Magnitude Range. EQ Guy

L'Aquila Seismologists Found GUILTY!!!!!

This Just In!!! Court held right in the City of L'Aquila inside temporary offices type building where Judge handed down GUILTY VERDICT of Six Years in prison, stripped all of their titles, and ordered to pay victims millions of dollars!!! While Italy gives them an appeal, guilty sends signal that in the future folks all around the world should be more aware of signs of Major Earthquake heading for them!!! Here is that story:

New Moon EQ Alert!!!??? Denali Fault, Poplar Bluff, MO maybe 6 or 7?

I just looked at todays Sunday Paper and notice the NEW MOON will be tomorrow night and want to add here that I have just recently started following the New Moon and its effect on Major Earthquakes. It does seem that there is a bump in the correlation with just consistently higher numbers of major earthquakes the night of both full and new moon so we should watch beginning immediately for shakers with tomorrow, Monday, being the actual date of the New Moon on the North America side of the earth.

In my search up around Alaska I found the Denali Fault where it would be possible that there could be something except for the fact that the Denali Fault looks more like a Thrust Fault which receives all its earthquake energy from the South or like San Andreas, and this earthquake energy today is crossing up there from West to East and possibly up above the Denali. . . but let's suppose it could still slip there.

Next this earthquake energy in the area of 5 to 7 Richters Magnitude will pass through the Northern U.S. where it shouldn't shake Yellowstone or N.D. much and will hit the Missouri Region where it could shake!!! The exact straight line goes through that region very near Poplar Bluff, Missouri and should stay West of New Madrid but is quite a lot of earthquake energy just the same and I do not recall this much energy nor such a straight line crossing down that way lately. Checking I found the biggest shakers in the 5 Magnitude range and so this couldn't possibly cause much bigger of an earthquake than that. . . could it? Exactly the reason I will be heading down there for Quake Chase 2012 around the end of this week! There IS earthquake energy out there crossing the U.S. so be prepared!!! Could This Major Shaker strike Poplar Bluff???

It is looking more like we should watch the Yukon Region more so than Fairbanks where the line of earthquake energy will cross since Yukon seems to actually get earthquakes and while Fairbanks itself might be near a major earthquake, I will have to update later as to if they themselves are likely to get a shaker, while Yukon is for sure. Now it looks more like Poplar Bluff, Missouri could be more near the earthquake energy hopefully passing that region not striking there, but I'm heading there just the same. New Madrid a few miles to the east is just outside this line and Poplar Bluff has had some shakers themselves and so I want to list that region for the potential epicenter and possibly like 5 Richters, but someday another 7 might be in order around that region. I notice they get any number of 2.5's though so count on them to get something before all this is over you know! EQ Guy

There just could be something major that strikes those regions very soon! Additionally we have just added Fairbanks, Edmonton, New Madrid, and Jamaica at around 6.5 or 7 Richters. This has to be about the very first time that I have actually seen New Madrid on this list for the fact that earthquake energy is going directly through it!!!??? So, while it seems far out. . . my die hard followers already know that one of these guys will likely end up getting this earthquake and that sometime in the future we should alert the people whenever there is earthquake energy heading for them!!! Huge EQ Alert AND Next Full Moon Coming!!!!!

Just saw Typhoon Jelawat on the satellite and that thing is huge!!! Well defined eye and winds reported at 145 mph with 160 mph gusts!!! That storm is being predicted to turn sharp right and strike Japan from the South in the coming days! If it turns and strikes Japan just right that could mean HUGE Earthquake Energy for someone along our West Coast. Then again if it doesn't quite turn so much it could mean huge earthquake energy for our friends up in Alaska, and possibly Canada! Right at the moment I'm especially worried about San Francisco, Los Angeles, and California!!! Watch the direction Typhoon Jelawat moves and if and when it does much damage at Japan because if it does, then my theory goes large typhoon-large earthquake. . . huge typhoon-huge earthquake, and the very biggest typhoons=the very biggest earthquakes!!! This might be the one! Don't forget the Full Moon with be Sunday night and while right at the moment there is just that 6.5 Richters heading for the Azores, Surinam, French Guiana and the Caribbean, something could still shake our West Coast and it could also depend on what that typhoon is doing by Sunday night, too. Also Hurricane Miriams brushing of the West Coast of Mexico and there was the 6.2 Richters Shaker at Baja California which could all indicate some more earthquake energy pushing the tectonic plates around out along that coastal area including San Diego, and probably all of Southern California! Finally, Big Film Production day for me tomorrow on a huge show!!! Sounds like a fairly good part, too, of course I am not saying any more right now; looks like it might be time to start watching for the next major earthquake so be prepared!!! EQ Guy

Lots of Hurricanes/Typhoons!!! Lots of New Earthquakes!!!

Just a look at all the major windstorms all around the world and especially with Hurricane Miriam off the West Coast of Central America and Mexico, then there was a 6.2 Richters shaker right there at Baja California! Now it is time to start watching California and our West Coast for some of this brand new earthquake energy! Until Hurricane Miriam actually makes landfall we might also watch and perhaps expect some shaking around Oklahoma, Illinois/Missouri, and the Richmond, VA region, too! 5 or 6 Richters range! EQ Alert: Azores, Surinam, French Guiana!!!

Typhoon Sanba has made landfall at Korea with winds reported at 125 mph and this will generate a noticable amount of earthquake energy.

We might also see some earthquake energy released around the Azores and other points in the Mid-Atlantic. We'll be looking for just over 6 Richters, say 6.5 Richters Magnitude.

Finally with reference to my last EQ Blog entry. . . it appears the Sulfur Smell at Los Angeles on that one day was immediately followed the next day by 33,000 people being evacuated from the region of Guatamala near a major volcano that erupted. This would be consistant with those who predicted sulfur smell would precede a volcano, but why the sulfur smell was in L.A. and the volcano was in Guatamala remains to be explained. Sulfer Smell Los Angeles = Paradise Turns To Hell???

A million reports of real bad sulfer smell all around Los Angeles and much of Southern California and a convo with one of my good friends out that way lead me to some quick research. Occured to me early today that on one occasion enough sulfer smell had been emited to actually start killing some people (Having your gas mask near might prevent that) and this lead me to here. Beverly Hills Earthquake-2!!!!! New EQ Alert: California!!!

So I just went and double-checked all my info and discovered that the landfall of one Hurricane Isaac at Grand Isle, Louisiana was on August 29, 2012 with winds reported at 80 to 90 mph and while I want to report right now that my immediate mention was for spots along the straight line that left the Gulf of Mexico and headed North West, there could also now be a chance that just any earthquake energy of this great of amount could cause something to shake California and especially along the San Andreas Fault line or the Hollywood Fault line just to name two. There was another medium sized shaker at Downtown Beverly Hills very early today with Beverly Blvd as the epicenter!!! New EQ Alert for all of California through September 18, 2012 and also remember I posted Oklahoma/Alaska days ago and that alert will continue for some time as well. FULL MOON 7.9 Richters Philippines!!! Tsunami Alert Lifted! Keep Watching!!!!!

Just minutes ago a 7.9 Richters earthquake struck near the Philippines and caused a Pacific Wide TSUNAMI Alert including Hawaii and Japan. As of this moment most of the alerts for Hawaii and Japan are now lifted but this did all occur on probably the exact hour of the Full Moon on the other side of the world and so please be aware that that same full moon hour will eventually strike us in Oklahoma, California, and Alaska where we should watch because there does seem to be a correlation with full moons and major earthquake energy! FULL MOON Alert!!!!! Oklahoma!!! Alaska!!!

The end of August will be about the end of the alert that I had kept on continuing for Los Angeles and while there has been quite a lot of other stuff happening worthy of yet another continuation, I have to write that I do not have much in the way of MAJOR Earthquake Energy heading directly for L.A. and so you might want to still watch and be prepared around Southern California for something to shake especially with regards to the recent big swarm at the Brawley Region. I suppose give that energy like a week to ten days and especially the next couple days with the FULL MOON being Friday of this week!!!!! Checking the globe I found that Oklahoma is very near this new line of earthquake energy and Anchorage/Fairbanks Alaska, as well as the epicenter of the Great 1964 Alaska Earthquake, too. I'm watching for about 7.3 Richters of earthquake energy for OK/AK. . . and especially for the night of the Full Moon!!!!! Keep in mind that there are still a few others we are waiting for that night such as Lima, Peru and Chile. And the last Great Chile earthquake occurred only about an hour before the fullest of the night of the full moon, whatever they call that. Be Watching and Be Prepared!!!!! EQ Guy
