Hi, EQ Guy Here!! All the shaking which started around midnight after the Super Bowl now include a 4.7 Near the Salton Sea and of course I did say would not have Vegas for the epicenter, rather more out towards that desert, there! As we always liked to say when i was in Hollywood. . . the shaking from traffic headed to and from Las Vegas can always mean earthquakes and it appears LOT Of folks were heading home from Vegas around Midnight!!!  That 4.7 Near Salton Sea kept shaking till about noon Monday, then quickly stopped!!!
-----Reporting to you all today that a 4.6 Richters Earthquake struck Malibu last Friday only moments before we were on the air saying to watch Malibu!!!  Aftershock struck there bout an hour later!!  Turns out was also preceded by that Tornado that struck Evansville, Wisconsin with 135 mph winds!!  
-----Now today it is the San Fransisco Region getting huge amounts of rain and judging by those radar images gonna get tons of rain!!!  Therefore it occurred to me we will need to be aware such huge amounts of rain, at least always in Malibu, tend to mean earthquakes will follow!!!!!  shaking or at best an earthquake of some sore. . . . . and could be a big San Francicso Earthquake is coming!!!!! And a 1.7 struck near the Hayward Fault yesterday, too!!

BOTH Hawaii, And Malibu Struck By Shakers Within The February "New Moon Window"!!! WATCH For "Super Bowl Shaker"!!!!!

First, I'm writing today due to being about the end of the February 2024 "New Moon Window" which began late Thursday February 9 at 23:01 Universal Time or 5:01pm (Central Time) with the Exact Moment of the New Moon on Friday at 5:01pm and running at 24 hours before and after Exact Moment, until Saturday at 5:01pm Central Time. 

As I left the newsroom prior to Fridays Show on local Community Radio was when the 4.6 Richters Malibu Earthquake struck!!  And if you heard this weeks show you know we had discussed the fact that Malibu was particularly susceptible to getting at least some sort of shaker after all that rain which said on the show upwards of one foot of rain in many of the local towns!  

Turns out both that Malibu Shaker and one that struck bout hour and 40 minutes prior to Malibu struck Hawaii at 5.7 on the Richter Scale while the February New Moon Window began the day before 5pm, and exact moment was bout one hour after the Malibu, and two hours after Hawaii, there!  Well within the range of what I personally call the New Moon Window or 24 hours before, and 24 hours after the exact moment which happened half-hour after the show!!!  As i always like to say watch for earthquakes in that New Moon Window and today we have TWO to discuss!!

Often such earthquakes are followed by aftershocks and tend to fall as this window comes to an end which it did few hours ago Central Time however on this occasion, of course, Hawaii will likely continue with aftershocks especially because lot of shakers could be expected to continue considering the very shaky nature of the situation there!  Conversely regarding Malibu. . . the last notable one such as could likely be felt all over Los Angeles WAS just 40 Minutes after that Exact Moment!!  8 tiny ones shook there since then the largest a 2.0!!!

We'll still need to keep watching to see what the Las Vegas Super Bowl Shaker will turn out to be, however the New Moon Window has ended as far as I'm concerned while a few other earthquake folks like to say three days is still added pull, and are still looking at FOOT of rain in many of those towns around the California Region which are very shaky!!!  So, be watching for some "Super Bowl Shaking"!

~~~Tornado that struck Evansville, Wisconsin yesterday now rated EF-3 with 140 mph winds!!  Sorry for all them folks!!  140 mph winds can produce earthquakes, watch our (Wisconsin) area and Northern Illinois, too!!!

~~~Hi, EQ Guy Here,  The exact moment of the New Moon coming Friday February 9 at 6 pm Central Time and the New Moon Window will run until late Saturday at the same time.
Totals for lot of rain in Southern California are in!!!  FOOT of rain in Topanga Canyon, and Belair, eight in Beverly Hills, and Downtown Los Angeles, and six or seven inches in Santa Monica, Pasadena, and Van Nuys.  As most of you already know lot of rain equals possiblilty for some earthquake shaking, there, too!!! And last I saw was all headed up into Nevada and the Las Vegas Region, too!!!
~~~Therefore right now California, Los Angeles, Malibu, up into those mountains, and bout all of Nevada seems very, very likely to get some shaking or at best an earthquake of some sort. . . . . and could be a big one!!!!!
~~~New Moon Window started yesterday, so New Moon, Lot of Rain everywhere, lot of traffic and one big game in Las Vegas could equal earthquake for bout all of California, and Nevada, too!!!!!

CAT-3 Tornado Struck Nearby Evansville, Wisconsin Last Night With 140 Miles Per Hour Winds And LOT Of Damage, There!!!!

Alerts started coming up on the TV in the late afternoon as I was getting some pictures of what would have been the sunset. . . . .then all those dark clouds started rolling in!!  Next then I knew the TV was being interrupted with Tornado Watch, then we started to hear those Tornado Sirens and they repeated about 20 minutes later, again!!

Me and Mom immediately took shelter in the basement and watched as they showed the radar with tornadic activity just east of Evansville, Wisconsin bout 5 or 10 miles from our house!  And then we started getting thunder and lightning!!  That was about when the power went out and suddenly no TV, and no lights!!!  Me and Mom sat in the dark basement bout half-hour before the storm finally subsided of course we had my flashlight, there, and some Chex Mix!!  After storm passed Mom went upstairs and went to bed while I spent some time texting my friends and power never came on till 3am and I woke up when the light in the basement bedroom came on so i immediatly ran upstairs and shut off all the lights upstairs and went back to bed waking at 8.

NOW seeing incredible damage over in that region just west of here and hope the best for all those families involved as I head to work to do todays show!!!  Tune-In!!!
