2.5 Richters Earthquake Struck Near Ireland In The Wake Of That Landfall on October 17 of Hurricane Ophelia!!! Actually Day 16 or 17 After!!! Also a 4.1 Struck Italy As Might Happen With All The Shaking in The Pacific Region!!!

Let's just get this edition of my EQ Blog out of the way here, shall we. . . Game 7 wasn't much of a game with Texas scoring big time before I had even started to seriously watch just having got home, you know! And it was virtually five to nothing the whole night as I tried to pay attention not being able to make too much sense of a game that was pretty much over in the first inning and never sure why Los Angeles didn't do anything about it all night!!! So, probably the best news is beyond this point, no worries about a 2017 World Series Earthquake because the 2017 World Series is over!!! Here's the biggest news besides that, and a felt report with San Jose and Santa Rosa to boot! Keep watching because this alert for the Bay Area isn't over yet:

JUST after I had mentioned Italy in yesterdays EQ Blog, this one shook there and so watch for something more there:

4.1 - 55km SW of Forio, Italy
2017-11-01 23:12:37 UTC 40.445°N 13.337°E 437.9 km depth

Nearby Places:
Ventotene, Italy 39.5 km (24.6 mi) S
Forio, Italy 54.9 km (34.1 mi) SW
Ischia, Italy 61.1 km (38.0 mi) WSW
Ischia Porto, Italy 61.4 km (38.1 mi) WSW
Napoli, Italy 89.5 km (55.6 mi) WSW

And here it is!!! Nobody was waiting for a small earthquake to strike this remote region of the United Kingdoms in the immediate area of that Landfall of Hurricane Ophelia!!! Were you? So as a reminder here's a link to a story all about it with a great pic on the cover, and then the USGS Report@ http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-41627442 AND this is Scotland by the way although I notice it doesn't look like it says it, notice Edinburgh on the list of nearby places and Glasgow, Scotland is in that general area, too:

2.5 - 3km NNW of Tarbert, United Kingdom
2017-11-01 20:59:22 UTC 55.890°N 5.437°W 7.0 km depth

Nearby Places:
2.0 Miles NNW of Tarbert, United Kingdom
23.3 Miles WNW of Largs, United Kingdom
26.6 Miles West of Greenock, United Kingdom
87.1 Miles West of Edinburgh, United Kingdom
150 Miles North of Manchester, England, UK

Not real familiar with any of the towns listed in this felt report of folks who had posted at our USGS website although surely felt in much of that region only represented here:

2.5 - 3km NNW of Tarbert, United Kingdom
2017-11-01 20:59:22 UTC 55.890°N 5.437°W 7.0 km depth

City.....Region, Country........................#.....Km
Tarbert, Scotland, United Kingdom.......13.....7 km
Tighnabruaich, Scotland, United Kingdom..4....15 km
Port Bannatyne, Scotland, United Kingdom.1....24 km
Helmsley, England, United Kingdom........1...333 km
Minehead, England, United Kingdom........1...536 km

So that one struck it looks like Day 16 or Day 17 after that landfall and goes right along with my usual saying that it can strike in fewer days if we are talking about a nearby landfall like we are here up in that somewhat shaky Ireland/Scotland Region of the United Kingdom where they DO get some earthquakes and there was quite an impessive list when I did a little bit of research on the whole subject just now!!! Perhaps more about that later right now it's been a long day and my team lost!!! Sorry, Los Angeles:(
