Excellent View of January 2018 Lunar Eclipse. . . From Our West Coast!!! Several Shakers Happened Inside Full Moon-SuperMoon Window, Too!!!

Answer to the question I didn't have the exact answer for yesterday is our "Moon Set" here in Wisconsin yesterday was 7:13am and so as a result of that it was impossible for us to really get too good of a view of the Lunar Eclipse. . . although I did see pictures of it from where they had an excellent view of it in Long Beach, San Francisco, Vancouver and etc!!! Here's my own local sunrise and moonset times, sorry I can't reproduce other peoples pictures here on my blog, because some really GREAT ones on Twitter, too:

Sunrise Today: 7:11 am
Moonset Today: 7:13 am

THEN, earlier in the week I'd also been wondering how much difference it would turn out to be by the end of that day. . . having been nearly the same in the morning and with the exact moment there, too at 7:18 or just AFTER Moon Set. Answer being the Moon Rise was about a half-hour after the Sunset on Wednesday or about gaining at the rate one might have expected:

Sunset Today: 5:08 pm
Moonrise Today: 5:34 pm

Now although there's also been a much larger one at Jarm, Afghanistan, it's the fact that I just said an alert for Japan yesterday on this one here, so keep watching there! All of these under that Full Moon/SuperMoon you know:

5.0 - 37km SSE of Shizunai, Japan
2018-01-30 20:11

Nearby Places:
23.6 Miles SSE of Shizunai-furukawachō, Japan
64.8 Miles SE of Tomakomai, Japan
69.9 Miles SSW of Obihiro, Japan
71.9 Miles ESE of Shiraoi, Japan
94.9 Miles SE of Sapporo, Japan

And here's the Jarm, Afghanistan Shaker that had been a big deal earlier in the day on Wednesday, but before the day is over might not be just so big anymore, you know with a lot of other things shaking:

6.1 - 35km S of Jarm, Afghanistan
2018-01-31 07:07:00 UTC 36.543°N 70.816°E 191.2 km depth

Currently this one has 425 felt reports but looks like all towns up in that there region must have reported but farthest was 1400 miles felt at Karachi, Pakistan and unless there's no other earthquake stuff and there seems to be a lot. . . won't publish entire felt report from that region, sorry.

Not sure if this next one could be any relation to the above one. . .or not; Update, the above one was removed and although it was one along the San Andreas Fault that was a smaller 2.1, so here's one more towards Yosemite at a more unusual epicenter there:

2.6 - 10km ESE of Yosemite Lakes, CA
2018-01-31 03:59:21 UTC 37.150°N 119.667°W 5.4 km depth

Nearby Places:
6.2 Miles ESE of Yosemite Lakes, Cali
8.1 Miles SSE of Coarsegold, California
9.9 Miles SW of North Fork, California
11.2 Miles WNW of Auberry, California
26.1 Miles NNE of Fresno, California

And I often wonder when it'll be time for the next "Parkfield Earthquake", too:

2.1 16km NW of Parkfield, CA 2018-01-31 20:42
1.3 16km NW of Parkfield, CA 2018-01-31 15:53
1.3 15km NW of Parkfield, CA 2018-01-31 15:20
2.2 11km N of Coalinga, CA 2018-01-31 03:37
3.3 10km N of Coalinga, CA 2018-01-31 03:34

And right at press time I noticed now several in the Ecuador/Panama Region very close to where we are watching:

4.5 21km ENE of Palora, Ecuador 2018-01-31 22:47
5.2 27km ESE of Palora, Ecuador 2018-01-31 17:13
5.1 41km E of Pedasi, Panama 2018-01-31 16:41
5.7 55km SE of Pedasi, Panama 2018-01-31 16:37

Pretty much all of the earthquakes listed in todays EQ Blog were well inside what I consider the Late January 2018 Full Moon Window and it runs just into the day on Thursday so watch pretty much all day Thursday depending on where you're reading this at, but the added pull of the Full Moon can continue beyond the point I personally use for the cut off and keep watching just the same all day! Thought there could be a bigger one following the 6.1 Afghanistan Earthquake early Wednesday but only the usual small aftershocks. Probably along the lines of the same illustration I've run a week or so ago concerning the landfall of Typhoon Temblin at Vietnam:
There was also another drawing accompanying that one with a straight line showing it continuing on towards Sri Lanka. . . but now it looks like that line probably indicated the next point would be where the earthquake energy contacted the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate and then that movement would have meant Afghanistan, of course, along with a few other places and Italy, Greece, and Turkey next along that line! Might also be watching New Zealand in the coming days and weeks, too, but I'll get an update going on all that!!!
