6.1 Richters Earthquake Struck a Few Miles Northwest of Downtown Manila, Philippines Early Monday Morning Our Time!!!!! Now Over 800 Felt Reports at the USGS!!! Some Shaking From This Weekends Full Moon!!! UPDATE: Now a 6.4 Has Also Struck Philippines Late Monday!!!

UPDATE: Late Monday The Philippines also now had a big 6.6 downgraded to a 6.4 further towards center of that country and very near "Tacloban City" where Typhoon Haiyan made landfall in November 2013 and killed 6000 people!!! MORE shaking certain to follow with Day 43 coming on Friday!!!!! Now previously written blog:

As the early morning hours of Monday approached in the U.S., my phone rang with this 6.1 Philippines Earthquake that I automatically knew was some trouble over there by the fact that my phone simply said "Luzon" and I don't recall ever seeing that, but knew it probably meant Manila, the capital of more than 12 million people there and I was right! This earthquake has now killed 11 people, and done a lot of damage and gave that city a good shaking with folks basically having to evacuate from everywhere!!! Here's the USGS Report and now over 800 felt reports including 173 from Manila! Here's that USGS report:

Here's the transcript from this weeks 6.1 Taiwan "Earthquake Minute": Hello Again Everybody, EQ Guy Here, Tuesday will be Day 40 after landfall of Cyclone Idai at Mozambique and they have been getting earthquakes at Indonesia, but keep watching there for a big one as Day 43 approaches next Friday, and LET ME ADD that although we DID add Japan. . . Taiwan got a 6.1 this week!!! So we’ll have to keep watching all that region as this weekends Full Moon Window strikes!!! Also watch around Mexico City and Caracas, and a 5.0 struck near Mexico City this week with FIVE felt reports from Oaxaca!!! AND let’s add New Zealand, now, too!!! Correction from last week about Mick Jagger being in surgery in New York. . . YES, was also a 3.0 Richters New York Earthquake Offshore From Long Island at Southampton!!! Let’s especially watch around Jakarta, but Japan and Taiwan are shaking, and THAT’S all according to Meeeeee. . . The EQ Guyyyyyy!!!
Here's a lot of shaking that looks like it was trying to connect the San Andreas Fault with the Gulf of Baja California further South in Mexico this week, but this turned out to be all of it, so it's still a little ways from being connected if you know what I mean:

2.1 6km SE of Guadalupe Victoria, B.C., MX 2019-04-19 08:28

Lot of earthquakes a ways north of Japan, but still Full Moon related and probably still means more to come, too! Now updated at press time, too:

5.3 92km WSW of Nikol'skoye, Russia 2019-04-20 17:34
4.8 93km WSW of Nikol'skoye, Russia 2019-04-20 17:12

These two are both offshore from Southern California with Isla Vista being near Santa Barbara, and of course you know where Carlsbad is. . . in San Diego County:

2.1
39km WSW of Carlsbad, CA
2019-04-22 09:44:54 (UTC)
22.1 km
2.2
23km WSW of Isla Vista, CA
2019-04-22 08:26:41 (UTC)

THAT'S also it so far as todays summary of the shaking in Southern California is concerned and don't have much to report from NorCal, neither. Let us just mostly be watching all those now extremely shaky places where I'm thinking a much bigger one could still strike!!! Tuesday will be Day 43 and a very important date to be watching for Major Earthquake, too!!! And Happy "Earth Day", Everybody!!!!!
