Hi, EQ Guy Here!! Residents on Australia's east coast have been rocked by powerful tremors after a magnitude 5.0 earthquake left thousands without power. New South Wales was rocked by a magnitude 4.7 earthquake on Friday
It was followed by a magnitude 4.4 quake on Saturday only a few hours after a magnitude 3.2 earthquake shook the nearby town of Muswellbrook at 1.10am with another magnitude 2.5 quake felt at 2.30am.

Experts warned aftershocks would follow the larger quake on Friday with Australians living hours away in Sydney reporting feeling the tremors.  massive volcano in Nicaragua has just sent out thousands of tons of toxic smoke and gas. The first time that the volcano erupted for the first time in a century was just a few years ago.   Momotombo, a terrifying stratovolcano, may be active again                    
JUST IN: Typhoon Shanshan made landfall early yesterday with winds 105, and gusts in the 130-140 range and as the National Oceanic Atmosphric Administration may be telling you real soon. . . . .THIS could affect the Pacific Tectonic Plate and with the added change in barometric pressure on the earths crust, might come to be responsible for some shaking!!!!!

A 4.7 Richters earthquake struck Fern Forest, Hawaii and was felt in Honolulu yesterday!!!  And now TWO Major Hurricanes headed for Hawaii, too, meaning more shaking to come and volcanos, too!!!  Could all this be due to Climate Change causing increased seismic activity? According to the NOAA, the big 1700 Seattle Earthquake, a 9 Magnitude caused the land to sink more than 6 1/2 feet, and New research shows Climate Change can lead to an increase in Seismic Activity and thereby cause more earthquakes! According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA, changes in atmospheric pressure from hurricanes, can cause a release of energy stored in the earths crust!!!

AND:  Along the same line where last weeks 7.1 Japan Earthquake struck, a volcano in Kamchatka, Russia, just north of there, erupted after a 7.0 shook there according to TASS.

Script/Transcript:  Hi, EQ Guy Here!!  On Monday they had a 4.7 Richters Earthquake that struck 3 Miles Northeast of Los Angeles later downgraded to a 4.4 with the epicenter being between Pasadena, and South Pasadena along Rosemead Blvd, there!!  Seismologists have said there may be some connection to last weeks 7.1 that struck Japan due to Japan being directly across the Pacific Tectonic Plate.  San Andreas Fault is not far away, but the epicenter of Mondays shaker remains on the Pacific Tectonic Plate exactly as those professionals have stated. This was the Puente Hills Fault Line.

There had also already been that 5.2 that struck North of Los Angeles near Bakersfield and with that epicenter actually at a small town called Grapevine which is best known for a big truckstop there along the I-5.  Not far away is the epicenter of the famous 7.9 Fort Tejon Earthquake of 1857.

Hi, EQ Guy Here!!  7.1 Struck Japan, followed by a big giant Tsunami Alert, but no really big Tsunami, there! Friends visiting Japan happened to be camming live from Hiroshima at the time it shook and at best did report feeling the shake, there.

5.2 Struck North of Los Angeles near Bakersfield yesterday felt in Vegas, and Mesa, Arizona with bout 2000 Felt Reports just from Bakersfield, and countless aftershocks.

Mount Etna erupted again, spewing lava, and tons of black ash, Airports canceled flights to Rome, Venice, Pisa, and London.

A 2.9 magnitude earthquake struck near Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin Last Friday, the second earthquake in Wisconsin this year. A 2.5 magnitude struck Crandon on January 8. The Biggest Earthquake ever to strike Wisconsin was back on May 6, 1947 a couple blocks north of 29th and Vliet Street in Milwaukee.

Script/Transcript:  Hi, EQ Guy Here!!! 5.1 Shook already shaky Italy yesterday, lot of population in that region of Southern Italy, but so far no damage or injuries. And one other big one there recently as well, just sayin'

Texas is currently looking at over a hundred earthquakes in just the last week, with upwards of 500 there in July!!! So far the biggest of all those a 5.1 last week, 4.9 the week before, and one other at a 4.5 in there somewhere, too! The recent quakes damaged homes, infrastructure, utility lines, weakened foundations, and cracked walls and ceilings.

4.5 Utah Monday, 3400 Felt Reports including Idaho falls, and Las Vegas, and a 4.9 Barstow, 3800 felt reports including also felt in Vegas, and San Diego also Monday.

Typhoon Kami made landfall at Teipai Taiwan this week with Winds 145, and Gusts 175 and Watch That Hurricane headed for Florida as of early Friday has been given the name "Invest 97L" and much of Florida declared State of Emergency! 97L could become Tropical Storm Debby!!!
