4.1 Richters Earthquake struck near Chester, California early Tuesday and although there had been a few in that area, I decided along the way to include all the small towns in that region on this same list. Today, I have now transfered the NEW list to a new location and it is merely a continueation of that now huge ongoing list you might have already checked out. Of course the very fact that Palo Alto appears on there is consistant with the fact that scientists did say the Reno Swarm means a Major Earthquake is possible and the felt report from Palo Alto means the fault lines in the San Francisco Region are also moving.
There was also a 4.0 Richters Earthquake south of Kalispell, Montana and coincidentally I seen on the weather late on Tuesday Night that they were having record low temperatures in Montana! As of this writing, I hadn't had the time to figure out if that was a big factor or what exactly might be going on in Montana and haven't seen any aftershocks like I might expect, too. So keep an eye on Montana because I can only guess at this point that Montana might be shaking as the result of all the earthquakes in the Northwest Nevada Swarm.

Updated Felt Report On That 4.1 Richters Earthquake South Of Catalina Island Monday Morning And UPDATE: 3.9 At Chesterton, California Early Tuesday
There was a 3.9 Richters 100 Miles North of Sacramento with one felt report from Palo Alto so far and now many, many aftershocks at that new California epicenter 150 Miles Southwest of the original Northwest Nevada epicenter and another 100-150 miles or so east of Eureka, the Pacific, and the Triple Plate Junction there. This next one is getting more and more views everyday, too, and it is still very likely that there will be a Major Earthquake that will fit nicely in the middle of this here Official Prediction for a 7.3 Richters Earthquake to strike before November 17, 2014 and after I post the link to it stay tuned, because I want to amend it@ http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2014/10/official-prediction-for-73-richters.html AND you might have seen this discussion in yesterdays EQ Blog about the fact that the day number in that headline was reached by adding 43 days to the date of landfall of Typhoon Phanefone at Japan. . . but to be exact a slightly larger number of days would need to be added so you might expect me to extend that O.P. in the event nothing has struck by that date! However, all things shaking like they are I do not expect to need to go there.
If you watched the above EQ Video Log then you might have caught the part about yesterdays Catalina Island Earthquake being preceded about two minutes by a 3.5 Richters Earthquake that also shared quite a few of the same felt report locations. There was also a 2.5 Richters Earthquake with an epicenter like 3 miles north of Huntington Beach with in the area of over a hundred felt reports from H.B., 10 from Anaheim, 10 from Santa Ana, 25 from Garden Grove, and 1 from Long Beach. You will want to know that what this all means is that all the biggest fault lines in that region have just been at best jarred by all this movement whether it is the 2 Catalina Island shakers, or the Garden Grove 2.5, or the ongoing series of earthquakes up there around Reno! Regardless where the epicenter is, we need to always be aware of those felt reports and where they are coming in from because it seems to me this could be a CLUE. . . as to where the next Major Earthquake could strike!!! Here's a great story to start off your week with!!! Now the sum total of all the earthquakes at 2.0 and larger, so far at the North of Reno Epicenter is probably over 550!!! Here are the day numbers we will want to be especially watching closely for because it does seem to be getting further and further down the road from the landfall of Typhoon Phanfone at Japan and I started thinking over the weekend that I should check the other significant dates out there in that range we are journeying into! That now very famous 6.3 Richters Earthquake that struck at Offshore San Diego struck on Day 44 after the landfall of Hurricane Sandy at New Jersey, and you might remember the also now somewhat famous "Lompoc Earthquake" also struck right in the middle of that window in possibly the same way all of the North of Reno Earthquakes are striking right now!!!
The date of the Hector Mines Earthquake had thought to have been Day 43 after the landfall of Hurricane Bret at or near Brownsville, although I had to go and count them up for this blog and came up with more closer to Day 55 which will be a few more days yet, also about the number of days after the landfall of Hurricane Katrina that the Great Islamabad Earthquake struck was Day 43 and finally we are presently on Day 36 and Day 40 will be on November 14 or Friday! Of course something Major could easily shake between now and Friday addding say a "Day 37" or "Day 38" to the list of days when the biggest earthquakes of all time have struck! Those day numbers could already be out there. . . it's just that I never was that great at keeping records such as those.
The Official Prediction for San Francisco-Napa and possibly a Major Aftershock of the 6.0 of August 24, 2014 can still be seen @ http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2014/10/official-prediction-for-73-richters.html AND can't help but to keep noticing that it runs all through this week, yet and I had to have calculated that final date on that O.P. by way of all the same math that I just spelled all out for you in todays EQ Blog!!! Checking, it does appear the final date given in the banner headline is November 17, 2014 also the date written on the sheet right in front of me as if I must have copied it right off this sheet! Well, I'm here to tell you the sheet also GOES ON to say Day 52 will be on November 26, 2014, so be watching for this one to strike all through this week especially with the North of Reno Earthquakes striking at something like one an hour and continuing!!! BIG Nevada Swarm Found To Be Very Near Empire, Nevada And Cedarville, California!!!!! WATCH For 7.3 Richters!!!

With all of the earthquakes continuing up there North Of Reno, Nevada it occurred to me that I might wish to travel up to that region for the purpose of checking out all of the movement of the ground that must be taking place up there in that region! While I will probably not be able to travel to the northwest corner of Nevada in the coming hours and days at least in good time to catch this now awesome swarm, I want to take a moment to ask if anybody up in that region or California might want to travel up there and report back your findings to the rest of us?
Looking at the epicenter on the map, I found that it is located very near a town with a Great Story!!! Could hardly believe it as I traveled via map across all those desert miles through the very beautiful State of Nevada!!! Finally, the directions: you may get to Interstate 80 by way of California or Nevada 395 and take that past Reno if you are coming from the west to Fernely where you catch Highway 427 North all the way to Empire, Nevada where as I might have mentioned they have a Great Story if you want to call it that@ http://sometimes-interesting.com/2011/11/21/the-united-states-newest-ghost-town-empire-nevada/ . . . and then 427 should take you to stateline with California up there and become California Highway T into Beautiful Downtown Cedarville, California where you have that motel listed above plus@: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g32193-d271244-Reviews-Sunrise_Motel-Cedarville_California.html
California Highway 299 leaves to the east out of Cedarville and becomes 8A when you get to Nevada and my map seems to say it is just one and half hours to epicenter!!! On my map Highway 8A turns into Highway 34 somewhere along the way to the Sheldon National Antelope Refuge and you are basically there!!! I do want to report that I noticed a significant increase in the elevation as I left Empire and it appeared to be a many thousand feet road trip up into the mountains of Nevada and so that climb in reality might be a slower drive than the flat out desert you will also be crossing for a lot of this trip.
The mountains that make up that very rough transverse of this route is probably the blame for a lot of all the shaking going on, and if I do get up to that town I will be sure to ask all the folks if they have any shaking to report!!!!! I could hardly believe an actual scientist was saying all the shaking meant a big earthquake!!! I should probably say that now HUGE Swarm at Northeast California and Northwest Nevada is looking like the biggest earthquake news today and the reason a lot of you are reading today! I could hardly believe an actual scientist was saying all the shaking meant a big earthquake!!! You will probably like to see it from the same source as ME that they, or at least the one scientist, has said this swarm is increasing the probability of a Major Earthquake striking!!! California And Nevada Shaking, Shaking, Shaking With November Full Moon Window!!! Watch For BIG Shaker!!! 7.3 Richters Possible!!! UPDATE: 4.7 And 4.3 North Of Reno!!!

HUGE Amount of earthquakes at North of Reno and a commenter says there might be a volcano or two up in that region, too!!! Another commenter noticed they are increasing in number and strength now going as high as 3 and 4 with high of 4.9!!! If I had all of the extra time I'd probably need to do so, I would like to give the total number of all of the earthquakes striking up there, for now I can just say it is looking like around a hundred so far in say a 24 hour period. Everything that is currently shaking can be associated with the November Full Moon Window with the EXACT MOMENT of the Full Moon coming today at 5:23pm Central, and 3:23pm Pacific, but I can tell you right now it is already a lot of shaking! Even if California does not result in getting that total sum of the big 7.3 Richters Earthquake, they are sure going to get A LOT of the shaking in the meantime! It is also possible that one of the other many places along the Pacific Tectonic Plate could also be the ultimate location such as Ensenada, Mexico, Central America, or even the Caribbean or further south into South America. But for now let's concentrate on San Francisco, Napa, Loma Prieta, and the Reno Nevada Region where it is looking the most like it could be the epicenter if that 7.3 DOES strike during the November Full Moon Window which will run through Friday.
Seems like it's almost a sure thing we will be looking at a Major Earthquake in just the coming moments! 7.3 Richters is the number we are ultimately watching for, too, so please keep watching and be prepared for a potential Major Earthquake, California!!! EQ Guy

Governor Jerry Brown WINS Re-Election In California!!! Seagulls Flocking Around Watsonville!!! Major Earthquake Coming To Loma Prieta Epicenter? UPDATE: 28 More Earthquakes At North Of Reno!!! FULL MOON Window Begins Now!!!
There is a lot of earthquake stuff currently going on around California! First, I would like to Congratulate Governor Jerry Brown on his Re-Election as Governor of California!!! Here's Wishing Governor Brown Many More, Too!!!!!
UPDATE: There have now been 28 additional earthquakes at the North of Reno location and the November Full Moon Window will Officially Begin at 4:23pm Central, and 2:23pm Pacific TODAY, so it is looking more and more like something MAJOR could shake California!!! NOW Todays EQ Blog:
This happens from time to time, too, that I get a comment on an EQ Blog from someone who might have been affected by the alert that was published and in yesterdays EQ Blog you might have seen the comment I am talking about. This person had observed a lot of unusual activity with the Seagulls around their neighborhood of Watsonville, California and me not actually being the animal behavior person like there are some guys who follow such possible signs of potential upcoming earthquakes, anyways I was not able to give that person any more information about it. If you read it then you already know that I did say it does not sound good, though! And closed with this upcoming full moon would probably be a good time to practice "Earthquake Preparations."
I believe this comment had to do with the fact that this particular reader was noticing there was some unusual stuff going on with the seagulls around their home in Watsonville, California and noted Salinas and Soledad were also in that general area. Possibly also being connected to this here list of a lot of earthquakes striking around the San Francisco Area in just the last day and a half or so that you can see updated here: http://www.eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/11/lots-of-san-francisco-area-earthquakes.html
Now, I would be going out on a limb to state that it is very near the epicenter of the Loma Prieta Earthquake and so the chance will be out there over the next few days of that very region where the epicenter of the Loma Prieta Earthquake was at, may now have a chance of repeating!!! The amount of shaking we are watching for is 7.3 Richters and I suppose Loma Prieta Mountain Region would not be out of the question. . . albeit dictated by the circling of Seaguls? Here is the other big swarm that took place on Tuesday and was more or less triggered by a 4.0 this is the North Of Reno Epicenter and there are already a few that were posted@ http://www.eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/10/new-swarm-at-lakeview-oregon-north-of.html
There has also been a lot of earthquakes shaking Nevada including a 3.9 Currant Earthquake where coincidentally a similar earthquake struck following a similar line of earthquake energy in the past. Oklahoma has also been getting in the area of 10 Earthquakes a day, now, which might not be surprising, but with the Full Moon coming I feel it necessary to warn Oklahoma, too, because if that number picks up it will then be a LOT of earthquakes there this weekend!
Especially be watching San Francisco, Napa, and now The Loma Prieta Mountain Region for 7.3 Richters, but Los Angeles had been shaking so we had better continue to watch L.A. and now with the Full Moon Window starting right now!!! EQ Guy

MORE Small Earthquakes Continue To Strike Around San Francisco And California!!! 7.3 Coming And Full Moon Coming, Too!!! UPDATE: Big Swarm At North Of Reno!!!

It may not sound like big news, but I'm always shocked when my phone rings with the latest California Earthquake and late on Monday it rang with a 3.7 Richters Earthquake at Ferndale, California or just offshore from there. Upon immediately checking I noticed the felt report includes a town called Salinas, California and although I initially had to check to find the location of that town. . . I also discovered it is a town just adjacent to the other town on the late list of other San Francisco Area Earthquakes, Prunedale, California. Here is the felt report from the 3.7 Ferndale that struck 32 miles West of Ferndale:

Further, still another small California Earthquake has just come in at a small town near San Francisco named Pacheco, California and found to be 4 miles South East of Martinez. . . a town I just so happened to have passed through on Amtrak both headed out and returning home from Quake Chase 2014 Oakland back in August. So, this was just a 1.8, but I have to warn that there are all these earthquakes striking around the San Francisco Area and we are still continuing to watch for 7.3 Richters and just when it starts to look like there is hardly any sign of all that earthquake energy, now all of these are striking and one does know there is still some shaking out there and could be still heading for a San Francisco-Napa Aftershock!
This is a great time for me to take a moment to explain what I'm about to say, here! Checking my sheet, I find November 5, 2014 will be Day 30 after the landfall of Super Typhoon Phanefone at Japan, and you might want to know that my notes also say November 7, 2014 will be Day 33 and the reason that I commonly track Day 30 and Day 33 is because those two days just RANDOMLY seem to have by far the highest correlation for Major Earthquakes striking following big windstorms and on this occasion those two days happen to also be during the November 2014 Full Moon Window with the exact moment being the day in between those two days, or November 6, 2014, so we know we will be watching closer and closer as that moon gets brighter and brighter over our heads until it is FULL. . . on correction, Thursday!!! Be Watching close between now and then, too!!! And Be Prepared!!! EQ Guy

San Francisco Area Getting Lots Of Small Earthquakes!!! But, What Will Happen, Next?
Almost too many small earthquakes striking around the San Francisco Area to be able to keep track of all of them like on one list as of this writing! Especially noting that moments before I wrote this, upon checking it looks like two more, however, with epicenters being just off the side of the map I had displayed and maybe not exactly in what would be considered the San Francisco Area. Those are a 2.7 Ridgemark, and a 2.0 Soledad, both California, along with a total of 13 others also not included with many in The Geysers Region.

Both of those two not San Francisco Earthquakes have considerable felt reports, too, with notably Fullerton being on both lists and indicating that there has been major movement along that entire line all the way south to the Los Angeles Area and including all of the alert area very easily to Twenty-Nine Palms. The 2.7 Ridgemark Earthquake was also reported as felt in Berkeley and so while these two were both in a remote region far south of San Francisco you could say that the fact they were reported in Berkeley and Fullerton goes on to indicate for certain that all of the fault lines in and around Frisco would have also been affected and therefore exacerbates the alert that much more!
We will now be watching for a lot more of this action around Geysers, San Francisco, and that Ridgemark/Soledad region located just to the east of Monterey, California and immediately along the San Andreas Fault. November 2014 Full Moon will be at exactly Nov 6 at 22:23 Universal Time or 5:23pm Central or 3:23pm Pacific Standard Time. That will be this coming Saturday with that Full Moon Window starting at those times on Friday, but we will probably need to be watching long before then, such as right this minute due to all the shaking going on! LOTS Of Earthquakes At Northern California Including 3.4 Richters Ferndale!!! WATCH San Francisco-Napa!!! Yet Another Private Space Craft Accident! Pilot Killed In Virgin-Galactic Crash!!!

Looks like there has been a LOT going on up in Northern California with my phone ringing on Friday Afternoon with a big 3.4 Richters Earthquake 21 Miles South Southwest of Ferndale and 38 Miles South Southwest of Eureka, California along with a now ever growing list of earthquakes from that swarm cooking up there North of Reno and you can see that entire updated list @ http://www.eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/10/new-swarm-at-lakeview-oregon-north-of.html
Between those two, there is something going on that should right about now be headed directly for California from out there in the Pacific or the Pacific Tectonic Plate you could say. Although I did not see any felt reports at all from either San Franciso Region nor the Reno Area, it does still appear that the Ferndale Earthquake must be connected somehow and just in case something did shake there but was somehow magically not reported by anybody, we might consider these all connected and to be possibly ringing in something much, much bigger!
Sorry to have to jump to yet another latest "Private Space Craft" disaster, but there has been a most very unfortunate accident up in Mojave, California and am sorry to report this time the pilot did not survive. This accident involves the folks at Virgin-Galactic and the co-pilot, or other pilot according to some of the stories on the incident, managed to eject and safely landed a mile or so away. So, I do not have too much more to warn about in the way of earthquakes at this point only to say keep watching California because it keeps appearing like something big might shake there and they ARE getting enough shakers that could be foreshocks that it has ME convinced there could still be 7.3 Richters out there heading for California!!!

Looks like there has been a LOT going on up in Northern California with my phone ringing on Friday Afternoon with a big 3.4 Richters Earthquake 21 Miles South Southwest of Ferndale and 38 Miles South Southwest of Eureka, California along with a now ever growing list of earthquakes from that swarm cooking up there North of Reno and you can see that entire updated list @ http://www.eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/10/new-swarm-at-lakeview-oregon-north-of.html
Between those two, there is something going on that should right about now be headed directly for California from out there in the Pacific or the Pacific Tectonic Plate you could say. Although I did not see any felt reports at all from either San Franciso Region nor the Reno Area, it does still appear that the Ferndale Earthquake must be connected somehow and just in case something did shake there but was somehow magically not reported by anybody, we might consider these all connected and to be possibly ringing in something much, much bigger!
