There is still One Big Shaker Out There. . . Somewhere!!!
Yes, it has been going on fourty days since landfall of Hurricane Ike at Texas and just as a precaution I follow through on these alerts to make sure we do not miss any potential seismic activity anywhere, anytime.
Wednesday this week will be Day 40 after Ike and the Katrina/Islamabad earthquake was on Day 43. It is rather a few, most of these strike around day twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, and twenty-three. . . but I still follow all the way up to day fourty just for safety sake!!! And now up to day 43, after that huge Islamabad earthquake that almost matched exactly to the amount of damage from Hurricane Katrina!!! My mathmatical formula says it should be around 90 percent. I was never really sure what exactly a hundred percent of the damage from Hurricane Ike was so. . . .
I suppose we should still watch Japan for this one, but otherwise Taiwan and The Philippines were next in line, then Jakarta/Sumatra. Mostly keep in mind that there is still at least about one major earthquake due very, very soon!!! And Thank-You, again for reading!!!

I simply just noticed that the moon was very bright last night and so I checked and found out that tomorrow night is the full moon, Tuesday. Since there is at least the one real big major alert I thought I should send along this reminder that it seems to increase the chances somewhat of JAPAN getting a major earthquake on the night of Tuesday October 14, 2008. Note that I noticed they are also playing a World Series Playoff game in Los Angeles TONIGHT, and while I don't know about tomorrow night, I just thought I would mention that. Not that the location of Dodgers Stadium is anywhere near a critical fault line or anything, no, rather just that there was that one shaker that will forever be known as the World Series Earthquake. And now with the full moon on Tuesday, I do not think there is actually that much in the way of potential seismic activity threatening L.A. right this moment. Go Dodgers!!!

BIG EQ ALERT: JAPAN!!!!!

Hello,
Japan remains as the major spot where I am expecting major potential seismic activity. I will still want to watch Anchorage for a few more days yet, but it has been going on 30 days since landfall of Hurricane Ike. Big Earthquake--Japan!!!
Today I noticed the Virgin Islands were getting major shakers at the same exact time as Hurricane Norbert was making landfall at the Baja Peninsula of Mexico. From the first one of around 6 Richters these correlate almost exactly with that big hurricane contacting the tectonic plate there and they are continuing as I write, right up until it has winded out, yes this does seem to be seismic energy being created at the landfall of these huge windstorms!!! The amount the wind is reduced=the amount of seismic energy!!!
Finally, there has also been some movement of the Pacific Plate via like New Zealand, and some movement of the North American Plate via Xingjian/The Arctic so kind of watch for something along the San Andreas Fault this week, too, mostly just movement, I’m not expecting that big of one. I suppose these two could combine somewhere like Central America, but???

EQ Alert Update: Anchorage-Kodiak-Japan!!!
Let's now watch Anchorage and the Kodiak Island region VERY CAREFULLY!!! The series of big earthquakes indicates Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate movement which will push the Pacific Plate directly towards Alaska and Japan!!!
While the West Coasts of North, Central and South Americas might shake a little from that movement, for now let's expect this one remaining MAJOR EARTHQUAKE to strike Anchorage, Kodiak, or Japan in the coming hours and few days.

EQ Alert, October 2, 2008--Anchorage--Kodiak--Japan
With the addition of Super Typhoon Jangmi which made landfall early on September 28, 2008 at Taipei, Taiwan there is now a total of several major earthquakes coming!!! The wind speeds of this biggest of all major windstorms were 150 mph with gusts of up to 185 mph!!! Now this will be another major earthquake!!!
The alert for Seattle is now at 20 days and becoming much more likely to be striking Anchorage-Kodiak and then Japan as Days 21 through 23 get here on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week. Remember this is still probably the most critical alert since it is still for a major shaker to strike the U.S.!!! I might go out as many as 30 days after the landfall of Hurricane Ike at Galveston before I write this one off. Note that those other two huge landfalls of Jangmi and Hagupit could at some point effect the North American tectonic plate as well, however I have gotten gallstones and will probably be having my gallbladder removed Monday so I haven’t been following these lines of potential seismic activity quite as close as I might otherwise.
So, for now primarily Anchorage, Kodiak, and the South Alaska folks should watch for this huge earthquake for about another few days to a week, and I suppose Seattle MIGHT still get something, but it is getting on in days there, you know. I suppose one could easily guess Sumatra, Jakarta, and Indonesia or aftershock Sichuan, China for a major earthquake from those major Super Typhoons making landfall, and remember the Great Sumatra earthquake followed the landfall of Super Typhoon Nanmadol by 23 Days and 23 days after Hagupit and Jangmi will be October 16 and 21, so be expecting huge earthquakes to happen in that date range (and between now and then, too) especially in those regions near those landfalls, but I will have more updates before that if my surgery goes ok!!!
