As you will be able to see by the time of this first earthquake unless a bigger still update comes along, this one shook at 11:15pm Monday Night my time/Central Time and very close to what I call "Press Time" due to occasionally posting this in the early hours of Tuesday which it is right now as these regions North of Los Angeles are presently shaking and COULD come up with something bigger so keep watching:
3.5 Richters Earthquake, 3 Miles North of Frazier Park, and 5 Miles South of Grapevine along the I-5 Corridor up that way. Right at the moment 101 Felt Reports including Castaic, Valencia, and Simi Valley. I'll have the entire list later in the day or in tommorows EQ Blog.
There had also been two smaller earthquakes that also struck that same region on Monday, and show Frazier Park on the list of "Nearby Places" as 26 miles South of the Maricopa Epicenter. And the Maricopa Epicenter was like 10 miles South of Miracopa, too. I am removing that discussion since it was written just before the actual Frazier Park Earthquake came in late on Monday Night and so you're up-to-date on all that, now, too!!!
This was originally todays big story and there has been reports of considerable damage here, too, but no tsunami, anyways, I went to double-check on this one at press time today and discovered. . .it'd been UPGRADED!!! Now, or for now anyways, it seems to now be a 6.8 on the Richters Scale!!! That's up from what it was here just now before I had to change it, was a 6.6:
