6.1 Richters Earthquake Struck North Island of New Zealand With Upwards of 15,000 Felt Reports, There!!! Some Big Shaking at Drake Passage Preceded It, Too!!! And 1995 Kobe, Japan Quake Was Preceded By Another Mediteranean Hurricane!!!!!

With that many felt reports already in on this 6.1 New Zealand Earthquake that THEY are reporting as a 6.2 and won't need to update that many felt reports because this one was basically felt about everywhere in New Zealand!!! I noticed even the much shorter list of reports filed with OUR own USGS contains at least a couple from Christchurch!!! My best readers will like the fact that it's being reported as biggest New Zealand Earthquake since the 7.8 of November 2016!!!!! Yes, that was the now famous "5 Prediction Friday" where we had discussed a possible upcoming 7.8 New Zealand Earthquake!!! NOW let me try to paste that felt report from THEIR Country right here:

Magnitude 6.2, Tue Oct 30 2018 3:13 PM

Now onto some other stuff. . .I'm not kidding when I say these have been ringing my phone all day Monday!!! That big 6.3 is big enough to tell me there is about to possibly be Major Shaking around South America so remember we're watching Antofagasta, and Tocopilla, there. . . and THAT was before the New Zealand Shaker, so don't forget we've been watching THERE, too, and this would be a sure sign of that:

5.5 Drake Passage 2018-10-29 16:07:13
5.8 Drake Passage 2018-10-29 15:17:22
6.3 Drake Passage 2018-10-29 01:54:21

4.9 121km ENE of South Sandwich Is. 2018-10-28 22:30
5.0 107km ENE of South Sandwich Is. 2018-10-28 22:18

AND you might be able to figure out where exactly this place is, by the list of nearby places and also figure out why no felt reports seemed to have came in from this region, too! Here's the USGS From the biggest of those "Drake Passage" Shakers on Monday:

This one came in late Sunday and here is the USGS Report although there wasn't too much else to say about it, the felt report follows, but appears the epicenter was a little ways offshore so less felt reports, you know:

Up to this point I was really enthused about this next story. . . and it might well have been my top banner headline story until that big New Zealand Earthquake struck!!! So, there had been yet another "Mediterranean Hurricane" that I happen to recall striking that Mediterranean Sea now quite a long time ago when I had just started pursuing such things as these big windstorms and saw this one not even knowing it was unusual at the time!!! Simply took a look at it and thought "Japan" and went on with my life like I tended to do in those days immediately following the Northridge Earthquake which hadn't even been a full year past, yet. This one was named "Celeno" and was active in the Mediterranean beginning on January 13, 1995 and the Kobe, Japan Earthquake struck there at a 6.9 on the Richter Scale on January 17, 1995 with over 6000 dead and 4600 of those from Kobe, Japan alone!!! Without going into all the damage it totaled 200 Billion U.S. Dollars! One more thing about those "MediCanes" and that would be maybe we should also STILL now watch around Japan, because of not being sure what the result of all this will be!!! Note that we are watching Turkey for 8 or 9 Richters anyways, so there's still plenty of other things that will be shaking, too!!!
