UPDATE: Big Earthquake Near Anchorage, Alaska, Friday Morning!!! ALSO in Todays Blog: 4.2 On The Richter Scale Struck Up In Canada and 300 Miles North of Edmonton, There!!! Some Shaking Around Indonesia, And One Or Two Small Ones Around California, Too!!!

7.0 Richters Earthquake Struck Just a Few Miles From Anchorage!!! This just came in (Rang My Phone) as I was heading out the door for todays "Earthquake Minute" Show at local radio!!! So far appears to be as big as a 7 Magnitude with aftershocks including 5.8 just as I'm updating. Hopefully this will be the usual pattern and they'll continue to wane!!! Tsunami alerts may exist and I won't be able to update fast enough to help with that. I will have an update later in the day!!! Now todays blog, God Bless!!!

FROM TODAYS PREVIOUSLY WRITTEN EQ BLOG: Noticed this one in the Canada and at a 4.2 might be noteworthy although no big alerts to really watch up in this region, something could ALWAYS shake just the same:

Friday, or the last day of November, will also be the last day of all the alerts that came as the result of landfall of Super Typhoon Mangkhut at Philippines and the next day at China. One of those areas concerned WAS Indonesia as we watched and waited for the next major Earthquake/Tsunami Event. . . and it did hit Sulawesi, too!!! Here's just the few remaining shakers you might say from that alert, although such earthquakes can happen at any time just the same and they'll surely get something beyond this alert. There may have also been smaller entities such as Hurricane Willa and Rosa at B.C., Mexico, Cyclone Luban-Yemen, Cyclone Titli-India, Medicane Xenophobe, and Hurricane Leslie-Lisbon, Portugal. Here's what's shaking right now at Indonesia:

4.8 245km SW of Sibolga, Indonesia 2018-11-30 02:44
5.0 101km SW of Srandakan, Indonesia 2018-11-29 20:42

4.6 234km SW of Sibolga, Indonesia 2018-11-29 20:18

Finally no felt reports came in on this one, although certainly felt by someone in the middle of this heavily populated part of Long Beach south of L.A.:

1.9 - 7km SE of San Pedro, CA
2018-11-30 03:35:00 33.691°N 118.244°W 9.9 km depth

Nearby Places

7.5 Miles SE is Rolling Hills, CA
8.1 Miles SSE is Lomita, CA
8.7 Miles WSW is Seal Beach, CA
8.7 Miles SSW is Signal Hill, CA

That will be it for today and I'll get all the remaining alerts together sometime next week and we'll see what we're still looking at although with the end of Mexico, Turkey, most of California and South America alerts, possibly not much!!! Until then Good-Weekend, Everybody!!!
