Cyclone Harold Made Landfall First At Vanuatu, Then At Fiji, And Finally At Tonga All This Week, And With Winds Upwards of 201 Miles Per Hour And LOTS of Damage Reports Just Starting To Come In From That Islands Region!!!!!

NOW with this weeks landfall of Severe Tropical Cyclone Harold at Vanuatu and then at Fiji, and apparently Tonga, although at press time all the Tonga info is not yet available, all this will mean big alerts for possible Major Earthquakes!!! It remains immediately possible those very places that have just been hit by Cyclone Harold. . . could now also be under alert for shaking right there at Vanuatu, Fiji, and Tonga!!! As well as maybe Fiji, Peru, Ecuador, along with other nearby places such as Sumatra, and Timor, or East Timor, there.

Among this list of shakers in and around California through Friday, is one that rang my phone in the really early hours of the night. . . while it was on the charger!! Yes, not able to simply reach over and check out where the earthquake actually was until morning, it is now the New Idria Earthquake, although I thought New Idria was more situated around the Salton Sea Region! No, it's more up towards the San Andreas Fault Region of Coalinga, and Parkfield. Here's a number of earthquakes all notable in the last 24 hours preceeding this edition going to press:

3.0 11km W of Delta, B.C., MX 2020-04-10 04:42:18
3.4 4km ESE of New Idria, CA 2020-04-10 03:59:14
2.5 12km W of Delta, B.C., MX 2020-04-10 02:21:30
3.4 28km S of Campo, CA 2020-04-10 00:49:11
2.7 63km SSE of Currant, Nevada 2020-04-10 00:25

All of those had fairly good sized felt reports, too, with the Mexico ones being felt all the way up into San Diego, and New Idria one being felt in Frisco!!!

Watch those new places such as Tonga, Fiji, Peru, and Sumatra/East Timor, too!!! (Note I've added Ethiopia, and Kabul, Afg. elsewhere in this EQ Blog) I suppose Vanuatu does also have some shaky fault lines in their region so keep in mind with the Cyclone Harold passing. . . Vanuatu could also shake!!!
