Speaking of Earthquake Predictions, and I know I hadn't quite got up to that point, yet, the day was like yesterday or Monday as I was posting the next days EQ Blog that I went ahead and named some of those new EQ Alerts!!! Along with the now upcoming alert for Guam was some others. . . mainly that one for NORTH of Santiago, Chile and the reason I'm telling you about it now is a BIG, or rather big 5.5 struck there early Wednesday Morning already!! That is before I even had another chance to mention it, let alone begin to talk about a prediction for there. And I went back and checked out that EQ Blog to find a mention of 6 Magnitude being the general number I was thinking right at the time. Well, now here it is!!! Rang my phone at around 3am my time and much too late to wake up and look into this matter. No damage reported, anyways, and depth reported at around 55 miles so that equates to not all that much shaking there, too. As you can see in the following USGS Report and List of Nearby Places, it's 17 Miles from Downtown Santiago:

LOOKS like that "Recurrence" of these Montana Shakers certainly could have been directly connected to that New Moon!!! Because about the final day of any shaking that shows up was July 27 due to just noticing it on Tuesday and the date of the New Moon was July 23 or about 4 days of good shaking beyond that New Moon. . . which I suppose you could now count on in the future or "For Future Reference" so to speak! But, I should note it appears to have REALLY LET UP there on July 26 with only a few on July 27. And July 26 would be famous for being Day 3 after the New Moon and is even a date I still frequent in my estimates of potential shaking since it's usually a reasonable bet that an epicenter will shake till Day 3.
Now with this one little distraction, I'll need a few more days to get all of those predictions together that I'd been talking about and must even say it does appear some of the shaking has already STARTED!!! Surely there will be more around where I said yesterday: Salta, and Copiapo, but there had even also been other earthquakes around those places and one was felt in Copiapo! So watch Guam, too, because like I said they DO get Major Earthquakes and Tsunami's, too!!! EQ Guy
