Just too many Big Windstorms that I might as well basically just dedicate todays Edition of my EQ Blog to all the big windstorms going on and so near landfall today!!! I also did happen to notice they've been talking about the New Moon because it also has an effect on all the storm surge as the result of all the storms currently happening. That list again now includes the landfall of Hurricane Madeline at Hawaii with Hurricane Lester right behind Madeline and threatening a landfall soon after Madeline, Tropical Storm Hermine that they're now busily preparing for all around Florida, and Storm #08 still out along our East Coast there but leaving soon. Hurricane Hermine might become a Hurricane and is aiming at the same sort of path as Hurricane Lili took in 2002 preceeding a VERY DANGEROUS Major Earthquake that I'll tell you more about later as it approaches landfall there. On the subject of Earthquakes, one of my very first good "Predictions" was following another similar landfall to the one Madeline is making right now at Hawaii. . . and wouldn't you just know it came to preceed a 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake at Northern California!!!

With regards to that big 6.9 Richters Earthquake that struck the Mid-Atlantic earlier this week and the fact that my EQ Blog for that day got lots of views, I want to now add that we still DO NOT appear to have any "Tsunami Warning System" for our East Coast out there along the Atlantic Ocean!!! Therefore even worst-case-scenario it looks like NOBODY would be getting too much warning at all if that HAD been a tsunami there!!! That's probably something we should be looking into and possibly have at some point in the not too distant future!
The Exact Moment of the New Moon will be early on Thursday at 4:05am Central Time, and there's been quite a lot going on so far with my phone now having rung once or twice on Wednesday, too!!! Up to this point, just a BIG EARTHQUAKE, and I believe the latest on this one that was originally a 6.9 - North of Ascension Island or what I like to call Mid-Atlantic, latest was upgraded to a 7.2 and on occasion they might refer to such a big earthquake as "Garden Variety". . .on this occasion it struck right on the line we're watching and so we should know there's probably more coming especially with the New Moon being this week! One of the things I noticed about this 4.6 Copiapo Earthquake was that it appeared to be offshore and almost exactly where I said it would make it possible for a tsunami. A reminder that this BIG ONE is still out there and this is exactly where I am expecting it possibly BEFORE Wednesday or Day 55. . . the day a lot of other ones have shook on!!! Checking some of the distances from these epicenters, there's several towns well within what could be considered the "Danger Zone" as far as getting a lot of damage being too near the epicenter of all the shaking! There has also been a landfall of a Big Typhoon named Mindulle at Japan that could become a factor in earthquakes to come, although Italy is probably that movement we've been watching for already and I'll check past EQ Blogs to see if I happened to have mentioned Italy!!! And while reports only have it posted as Tropical Storm Mindulle, I had seen at least one story calling Mindulle a Typhoon and the maximum gusts posted at 111mph!

So, I had planned to run the drawing today about the straight-line from recent landfall of big typhoon at Taiwan, but it will now be delayed, however note that it is very much what's going on here RIGHT NOW! Yes, the tectonic plates ARE MOVING!!! Anytime such movement strikes the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate, it will then simply push in that direction which right now is Italy! My regular readers know that plate boundary over in that region will regularly mean alerts for Greece and Italy as well as the fact that such movement as took place late on Tuesday now means there's more to come! LOTS of Earthquakes at South of South America around Sandwich Islands!!! Here's the Updated List at Earthquake Central@ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2016/08/big-74-richters-sandwich-island.html In the minutes before I published this EQ Blog, I checked and pretty much all those Sandwich Islands Earthquakes must have been connected to that Full Moon Window because they also appeared to have stopped thereafter!!! A close check of the dates and times for both revealed the end as of this writing came at one day, 15.5 hours after end of Full Moon Window, or two days 15 hours after exact moment of full moon!!! Easily being connected if I might say so myself!

This next big "Global Warming" Story actually got its start late last year and moved along rather slowly especially over the winter months when trees don't grow that much anyways. As Summer came along it was apparent that dead trees and Global Warming weren't going anywhere and so I continued on with the project at a good pace, checking and rechecking all the dead trees everywhere along with NOW a lot of "Dead Tree Forests", too! THEN THIS WEEK!!! Something Enormous struck the Global Warming biz and not sure if I mentioned it in my actual EQ Blog in text format, so here it is:
TREE On Wisconsin State Capital Square Snapped Off And FELL on Two People There!!! In this here pic I took after getting off work it's been cut away from the sidewalk where all of that happened and the sidewalk is mostly clear, but that's also where the two guys had been walking when it CRASHED there! When I zoomed-out to see the earthquake that struck there earlier this week, I also located several others including a 4.6 Vallenar, Chile Earthquake that struck 50 Miles South of Copiapo, Chile yesterday and a 4.4 San Antonio de los Cobres, Argentina late Thursday. Here's the USGS Report from the 4.3 Copiapo, Chile Earthquake and in fact the "Nearby Places" list gives the distance at 31.5 Miles from Copiapo:

Well, the really big story today isn't about earthquakes. . . it's about ME, The EQ Guy!!! Yes, can't help it but have to report that I just so happened to have been BORN, on August 15, 1960!!! Had a lot of fun over the weekend, but today/Monday is my real BIRTHDAY!!! Happy Birthday ME!!! Final thought for the day today as I was at a local ice cream place celebrating by myself was WHEN will August 15 become a holiday:))) Of course the "EQ Guy Day" or whatever. . . and went just one step beyond that as my Strawberry Shake reached the bottom of the glass and my 55th birthday came to an end I wondered if it would ever mean a 3-Day weekend or even a paid-holiday for anybody anywhere!!!
