It does just look like there might be something major going on over in that region of the Indian Ocean right this minute! Other earthquakes to report from that general region include at least one fair sized one at the Mid-Indian Ocean and a 5.8 at Papua New Guinea just a few more miles to the east of Sumatra.
COULD this be the next Sumatre, Indonesia or Banda Aceh/Phuket Earthquake Tsunami? 2014??? Just saying this because it does have the look of that landfall that preceded the 2004 Sumatra Earthquake and we are going on the number of days following that landfall when the Great Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami stuck or 23. Next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be Day 21, Day 22, and Day 23 so at any time between now and those upcoming dates we should be prepared for earthquakes ourselves such as California and out there along our West Coast, but also be watching Sumatra, and Indonesia for that MegaThruster/Tsunami.
This swarm will not quit, too! At Northern California just to the north of Truckee where I-80 crosses into Nevada near Reno it has now been going on several days and seems to indicate something is going on, but what? Venice Beach Was Struck By Lightning on Sunday!!! Here Are Some Clips From A Random Local Webcam: NO Actual Lightning in this shot, and nobody hurt here. . . scene just lights up and folks react and leave the scene. One lady stops and turns her bike around. Sorry for those hurt and loss of one of our friends there! God Bless!!!
July 30, 2014 will also be Day 21 after the landfall of Super Typhoon Neoguri with winds of 100 mph and gusts of 134 at landfall at Japan. That will actually be tomorrow if I have translated all the time and dateline changes correctly in my calculations! Therefore Day 21 is getting up there when talking about earthquake energy traveling from Japan to our West Coast and this has happened many, many times, too! This time the line runs directly through Queen Charlotte Island, Canada and on to Boise, Great Salt Lake, Texas, and Oklahoma. While Oklahoma did just have a 4.3 yesterday, we should still watch all those areas for just a few more days.
