Right here in my regular EQ Blog I've been attempting to track especially all the potential Earthquake Energy from several landfalls of Hurricane Matthew. Most recently due to a lot of shaking at Utah, been saying maybe Mt. St. Helens!!! Today I have to report phone ringing, and ringing, and ringing. . . NORTHERN CALIFORNIA!!! Here's the very latest on this originally a 6.8 there:

The felt report will take some time to gather all the info and as of this writing is at around 2,500!!! So far looks like it was felt all the way to San Diego, Santee, Riverside, Irvine, Pacific Palisades, L.A., Portland, Reno, with 5 felt reports so far at Menlo Park, 39 Redwood City, 2 Medford Oregon, 43 Crescent City, 179 Arcata, and 255 felt reports filed so far from Eureka, California!!! Those numbers will be going up since all of this just happened at around 9am Central, probably around 7am Pacific time. Finally this one caught my attention because it looks like it's right there in downtown Santa Monica and was originally a 2.0 here now followed by the felt report which may also need updating although it's very busy here today and so. . . . .

At this point we will need to watch pretty much all of California and the nearby states with shaky regions that could all be affected by all the shaking judging by so many felt reports now coming in from so many miles distant from this epicenter!!! Aftershocks will be continuing and more and more felt reports will continue to be coming in throughout the day. I'll have more updates on this later!!! JUST IN: 7.7 or 8.1 Richters Papua New Guinea so far as I can see no tsunami there! Updates on that in the future, too! EQ Guy
