HERE'S The Big News!!! Probably the fact that this one hit Mexico late Friday at 6.0 will be it!!! You might recall I did say Guadalajara. . . well this one is about 100 miles south of there and I did not write the names Puerto Vallarta or Manzanillo on any of those original alerts, but you can see those names now on the list of nearby places! This one took place on Day 35 with still at least a number of days remaining on the alert for New Madrid, and Illinois/Canada, too:

Now let's take a look at those "Volcanic Explosions" here, unless something a lot more dramatic comes along before press time! Starting with the one that shook there on Friday just before the show went on the air:

5.2 Volcanic Eruption - 5km WSW of Volcano, Hawaii
2018-06-29 17:50:46 UTC 19.414°N 155.284°W 0.5 km depth

Fridays Discalimer with the local time given: "This earthquake was associated with a minor explosion and rockfall that occurred around 7:50 AM Friday, June 29th local time from Halema'uma'u crater. Only very weak emissions were observed at low levels above the crater."

HERE'S Saturday after a sort of Great "Prediction" posted to Twitter and Facebook, this one struck a few hours late but did strike Mt. Kilauea more or less on time just the same, there:

5.3 Volcanic Eruption - 5km WSW of Volcano, Hawaii
2018-07-01 00:51:12 UTC 19.410°N 155.282°W -1.1 km depth

Disclaimer: "This earthquake was associated with a minor explosion and rockfall that occurred around 02:51 PM Saturday, June 30,2018 local time from Halema'uma'u crater. Weak emissions were observed at low levels above the crater."

I had thought there was going to be a Sunday "Volcanic Explosion" to report, however as those above times got later and later, we're now looking at the next one in that series probably striking AFTER press time for Mondays Edition of my EQ Blog!!! I might guess around 1 or 2am Central Time, but I'll most likely just have that update in a future blog rather than locate this discussion and update the facts here. Pretty much getting to be usual so that we can be fairly certain this will be striking in the early morning hours Central and Pacific Time while probably late Sunday or Early Monday Hawaii Time. I'll probably have a brand-new prediction coming this week, too.

And unless something a lot more interesting transpires there, I also must report the biggest occurrence over this weekend seems to have been on Saturday, when was recorded 755 Earthquakes of All sizes, with 429 at 2.5 or bigger.

This one looks like it was the first one in that series. . . from WAY back at the beginning, and the date is May 19, 2018:

5.0 Volcanic Eruption - 3km WNW of Volcano, Hawaii
2018-05-19 09:58:33 UTC 19.405°N 155.281°W 0.0 km depth

This disclaimer has more info: "This is not an earthquake. The event was an ash explosion that occurred around midnight Friday, May 18th local time from Halema'uma'u crater. The plume extended to about 10,000 ft above sea level and drifted southwest with noticeable ashfall reported from downwind locations."

THIS one appears to be the first such "Volcanic Explosion" although not yet at that time noted as such! Does happen to say so in the disclaimer, though. Date was May 16, 2018 and this is also about the biggest felt report of them all, too, although I didn't do all the research on that to be sure:

4.4 - 4km WSW of Volcano, Hawaii
2018-05-16 18:30:45 UTC 19.414°N 155.280°W 0.5 km depth

Now on another topic that isn't new. . . here's what's shaking around Los Angeles:

1.9 4km SW of Baldwin Hills, CA 2018-07-01 22:12
1.4 2km E of Manhattan Beach, CA 2018-07-01 12:25

0.5 7km SSW of Redlands, CA 2018-06-30 18:16
1.4 2km SSW of Fullerton, CA 2018-06-30 12:17

THERE were also earthquakes at Greece and one near North Platte, Nebraska that should appear in a later edition since todays is already very busy, you know.

There was also this one very interesting "Artificial Earthquake" reported in Mexico City after a really big World Cup victory there. . . that makes a Great Story since it was seen on the Seismograph there!!! Check it out@ https://fox5sandiego.com/2018/06/17/artificial-earthquake-reported-in-mexico-city-after-world-cup-victory/

Don't forget we're still watching New Madrid and that alert runs well into July 9, and July 19, 2018 with now MUCH MORE certainty it's headed on this exact straight-line I originally discovered early in this alert!!! Lot of shaking took place around Yemen and that Arabian Tectonic Plate. . . and NOW that Guadalajara Earthquake Happened!!! Chicago, Canada, Illinois, and New Madrid could shake at any moment!!!!! Keep Watching, there!!!
