Here's that "Volcanic Explosion" that you might recall was due on Thursday around noon Central Time. . . well this time it turned out to be more like 9:30pm Central Time, or actually quite a few hours later than they've been happening!!! But it did make it soon enough that here it is in Fridays EQ Blog and well BEFORE press time, too!!! In fact as I'm posting this info, it hasn't yet even came to my phone which I will expect to be ringing with this 5.3 in about the coming hour or so!!! Here's the version off the list of latest earthquakes:
5.2 Volcanic Eruption - 5km WSW of Volcano, Hawaii
2018-07-20 02:33:01 UTC 19.411°N 155.282°W 0.9 km depth
Description: "This earthquake was associated with a minor explosion and rockfall that occurred around 4:33PM Thursday, July 19, 2018 local time from Halema'uma'u crater. No emissions were observed above the crater."
Meanwhile the running total of all earthquakes 719, and the number of shakers at Mt. Kilauea 2.5 and bigger was at 437 as I was saving the above information. Also now calling the attached valuable info the description. . . all the long knowing it wasn't actually a disclaimer as I've been refering to it for quite some time now. Try to rename it description if I think of it.
There had also been a 6.0 Alaska Islands, 5.1 Columbia with currently 187 felt reports and a big 6.0 at Papua New Guinea, too, as far as the areas we're watching for a quite bigger Earthquake Event to be headed although some of those areas are currently only looking at around Day 10 and we'll be watching for this one a while, yet.
Now in addition to the 2.0 that came in at press time yesterday. . . I've discovered several others in the San Francisco Bay Region all seems to have been on Wednesday, and now updated prior to press time Friday:
