It has been a long day of discovering a lot of new stuff that I didn't know about that Major Earthquake in Alaska in 1964!!! There will be a few links to some of the different stuff including I located an original felt report! Let's start with a great vid that I came across on You Tube with some of the actual folks who were in this earthquake talking about their stories!!! As always you can Right Click the link and click "Open in New Window", Here's the Historic Felt Report from the Alaska Earthquake of 1964: http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/03/felt-report-m92-southern-alaska-friday.html AND you might recall I had mentioned riding my trike around the house that day as a 3 year old. . . well that felt report kind of confirms the fact that the plate swinging on the wall that day in Southern Wisconsin probably WAS a result of that giant earthquake up in Alaska since there are many, many reports from even further away such as Indianapolis, Indiana!!! If anybody was wondering, it would appear the direction the plate was primarily swinging was North and South, although any east and west swinging that day would have made that plate more banging against the wall than swinging! I suppose that there could become an historical fact someday all by itself!
Of course somewhere along the way there was bound to be a story about the fact that Seattle is due for a similar big earthquake as big as Great Alaska one of 50 Years Ago!!! Finally with so much history going on the last couple days, we also have to remember that the New Moon Window starts bright and early on Saturday, so something might be shaking this weekend!!! Last New Moon was that Virginia City Swarm and the last Full Moon was that most recent big Chile Earthquake! Be Watching and be prepared!!!
