Other news, you might recall I had not gotten any damage reports from the big Vortex California that was as big as that whole state. . . well there is some damage!!! There was a HUGE Wave that crashed right into and inside and flooded a Seaside Restaurant in Santa Barbara!!! The center of the vortex on that storm crosses onto land from the Pacific Ocean at King City, Coalinga, and a place called Tulare north of Bakersfield and the line continues on to very near Lone Pine, California. Judging by the amount of damage at Santa Barbara there will be a lot of earthquake stuff happening around that region in the days to come so be prepared, California!!!
This new EQ Alert will be for a possibly major shaker to cross California in a straight line from the point at which the March 1 Vortex made landfall and will continue on for a week or so like until March 15, 2014 and I'm guessing around a 6.5 for Parkfield, Coalinga, Tehachapi, Bakersfield, or Fort Tejon. It could also cross and travel beyond there and up into Nevada and points beyond there I will discuss in later EQ Blogs.
Close look at the map as I just seen there was a 2.7 at Fontana, California and the map also revealed the close proximity of a town called Tulare, but Lone Pine is also out there beyond the San Andreas Fault BUT very much of a shaky place where at one time there was a huge shaker of 7.6 to 8 Richters and they could be due! This one should not be quite that big and I'm not rating it too much higher than those foreshocks which were 6.4 and 6.7, so let's say 6.5 for one of those California towns and it could be at any moment, too, or give it a day or two yet.
