The 6.5 just came in and so do watch Banda Aceh for more as well!!! Lots of potential earthquake energy around Sumatra and Indonesia!!! Already being followed by aftershocks as of early Friday Morning!
I edited the following felt report for that San Fernando Earthquake down quite a lot and am sorry if I left out the names of some peoples favorite towns and a lot of the names of towns further out, too! I actually could hardly believe it when I seen the list from the 2.7 Richters earthquake posted as "Universal City", but had to look and when I did found the actual epicenter of this one to be just to the north of the recent series of shakers that struck up at Sepulveda Pass. The epicenter of this one struck further north along the 405 Freeway between Ventura Blvd. and the 101. Here is the abbreviated Felt Report:

The big news for today is that it was the first day of spring on Thursday and as usual I like to watch for signs that the Spring Equinox has any effect at all on earthquakes, especially in California. As of this writing I do not really have a lot of correlations that would help bolster this theory right at the moment. There was also a 5.4 at Chile with several towns in that felt report. Actually going back and now double-checking I found there had been 27 Earthquakes on the 2.5 or bigger list for the past 24 hours!!! Actually a fairly huge amount of them! Equinox?
We will continue to watch the Caribbean for more shaking and there was also another small shaker at King City where the King City Vortex made landfall earlier and could still have a major earthquake resultant out there along the straight line from King City, Lone Pine, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, and The Caribbean! Of course we must continue to watch Richmond and Charleston areas, too! And New Madrid/Illinois. Thank-You for Reading!!! EQ Guy
