It might not look like much, but I can clearly recall it wasn't that long ago we had a very similar situation going on up around Virginia City and Reno, Nevada where the swarm of earthquakes was so small that it hardly made any difference at all to most of the people who would see it. Even enough that some people would even say it is nothing. Here is the entire list of very small earthquakes from just the last 12 hours and pretty much only including late Sunday:
0.3 22km ESE of Mount Hood Village, Oregon 2014-03-23 22:57:31

All hovering around the one magnitude, but a LOT of them just the same! While I am noticing these are not Mount Hood epicenters, it does still indicate to me just the same that there is something going on up around that region of Oregon and as of this writing it now appears we will continue to watch this location because of course at some point into the future however far. . . . . there will probably be a major earthquake that will follow all of this. For the record it does not always mean this will be the exact location, either. It could be much ado about a major earthquake that could strike nearby or several miles away. Although it is tough to tell where this is going, so let's talk about it again later this week! Maybe in this weeks V-Log coming up later on Monday!
Finally, I reported on Sunday in a special EQ Blog that there is currently still a huge Major Tropical Cyclone heading for the Australia Region where they are looking for the plane! Read That @ http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2014/03/huge-tropical-cyclone-gillian-heads.html
Although that isn't updated, the link to Hurricane Zone will go to an updated page and I can update the rest of you by telling you the big storm is continuing on in a southerly direction out into the waters where they are searching. It appears the eye is weakening but it will still very much be a player in all of the searching going on out in those waters. It looks to me ships will soon need to head away from the search waters and with it weakening it should be possible to use ports such as Perth for landing and etc. A possible scenario would be the Cyclone also heading for Perth and some or all of those ports having to evacuate the same as if Hurricane Katrina was heading for Perth! Doesn't appear to be the case luckily, and there should be no problems heading for port, unless the weather changes it looks like Cyclone Gillian is heading out to sea rather than for a landfall at Australia!
Difference being if it did head for landfall we would be watching for a lot more major earthquakes! It has already made one landfall at Christmas Island on Saturday. Thank-You Again for Reading!!! EQ Guy
