The June Full Moon still very much has an effect on earthquakes due to the pull continuing all the way through tomorrow morning at least. Just moments ago there was a 3.5 up in the High Desert Region north of San Bernardino and getting a lot of felt reports from all over the Eastern Los Angeles area all the way to Anaheim and Laguna Niguel. 471 Felt Reports From Bountiful, Utah!!! 1232 From Salt Lake City!!! IN Full Moon Window, Too!!!!! WATCH For More!!!
Starting out todays EQ Blog with one really big update from yesterdays EQ Blog and that would be the fact that there are now as of this hour that I am writing this a grand total of 1,232 Felt Reports just from the folks in Salt Lake City, Utah ALONE on that 3.3 that struck there at that late hour of Wednesday night moments before yesterdays blog went to press but probably most important of all just 20 minutes after the exact moment that the Full Moon Window BEGAN!!! Not to mention the 471 Felt Reports from Bountiful, Utah, too!!! Now we should probably keep watching because I just looked outside and see the Full Moon is high overhead and it is one of those most rare occasions when it is almost directly overhead at the exact moment, too!!! The Exact Moment of the June 2014 Full Moon being June 13 at 4:14am, or late on the evening of June 12 at 11:14pm Central and 9:14pm Pacific or just moments ago as I am writing this and probably very near the exact time I was looking at it!
Might need to watch Texas and Oklahoma as well as our West Coast through the coming hours due to the chances of earthquakes being at least somewhat elevated through the coming hours. While it still does not seem quite as likely for New Madrid and Illinois to be affected by the full moon because there's no ocean there. . . I still have to note that those are two of the other places we are still watching and Iceland. Those are all in the 5 Richters range with like 5.5 being about all we are watching for there.
On Thursday I noticed Hurricane Cristina offshore at Mexico heading north directly for Clarion Island again, where Hurrinccane Amanda had just struck on May 27, 2014 and was followed by that 6.2 Richters earthquake between there and the mainland. Saying it could happen again only we really never know where that Major Earthquake's epicenter might be!!! Mexico City? California? Oklahoma? Texas? 3.3 Bishop, California Early Wednesday, and 3.3 Salt Lake City Just In!!!!! NOW Over 1000 Felt Reports!!! (Updated) Coincidence? Connected? MORE Coming???
Due to a lot happening today I am going to have to skip the story about more connections being made between the Mammoth Lakes Swarms and those others. The real news that is happening right now as I am typing this is that there was a 3.3 early Wednesday near Bishop, California just outside the East Entrance to Yosemite, and there was just late Wednesday Pacific Time another 3.3 just on the outskirts of Salt Lake City with thousands of felt reports from just that city alone along with hundreds from places such as Bountiful, Ogden, and several other towns in Utah. Exact Moment of June 2014 Full Moon will be on June 13 at 4:14am Universal Time, but the real big news right now with that is the fact that the Salt Lake City Earthquake shook exactly 20 minutes AFTER the official start of the Full Moon Window!!! This earthquake qualifies as an earthquake that struck DURING the Full Moon!!! Question of what effect the full moon has on land so far away from the ocean is starting to come into focus. If all the other correlations we have been discussing here on practically a daily basis are true. . . then I see no problem with any additional pull the full moon might have on the ocean, also affecting the Great Salt Lake!!! As you could say is evident by the fact that they just had this one here last night!
So, we will be watching this particular Full Moon just a little bit closer now that we've had a couple of 3.3's that it is obvious to me are connected having just tracked those three other ones at Mammoth Lakes, Yellowstone, and Haines Junction all with nearly identical "Footprints". The Full Moon Window will basically now run all the way through or at least well into Saturday, although starting as early as 4:14UTC you might say it should be exhausted before the end of the day on Saturday.

June Full Moon Window Will Start Late on Wednesday Night!!! WATCH Full Moon Window For Earthquakes! UPDATE: 4.0 Barstow!!!
UPDATE: Phone rang very early this morning with a 4.0 at 9 Miles NE of Barstow!!! Now the rest of todays EQ Blog:
Pledge Drive on yesterdays BBC Radio Show Made Our Goal!!! Prior to the show I checked out all the other days of BBC Shows all through last week and found that overall they had been making a good amount of money so I was confident!!! Sure enough the phones started ringing before the first 15 minutes had even past and we were quickly over a hundred, ending at over 300!!! Can't wait for my next chance and am even thinking seriously about calling in and volunteering for one particular vacancy that one of the guys I worked with today will be working on and looking forward to probably working with him on Thursday, now!!!
As far as earthquakes are concerned, there are some of them to report, too! Several striking around California and Nevada, and ratcheting up the possible seriousness of the June 2014 Full Moon Window that starts late today!!! I am right now looking at the entire list of California/Nevada Earthquakes and wondering if they are connected in the same manner as all the ones in those three swarms from earlier in the week were? And I'm also now looking at the list with the exact moment of what time the June New Moon will be at and it looks like it will be one of those where it is actually 4:14am Universal Time on June 13. . . or 9:14pm Pacific Time on June 12, or late Thursday which is why I have to say it now! We will need to start watching almost immediately! And watch for additional earthquakes due to the additional pull of the Full Moon and since all of this has been happening around the Pacific Tectonic Plate, then we can continue to watch around the Pacific Tectonic Plate! And since we now already know some of this is going to be striking California, then we must also now watch California and probably our entire West Coast for some June Full Moon action!!!
There have been a fair number of earthquakes that the people who were in them have commented that they looked up after the earthquake stopped. . . and noticed it was a Full Moon! That's Yellowstone 11:30, Haines Junction Alaska 12:20, and Mammoth Lakes 12:38, as well as one other notable point on June 7 where Yellowstone shook at 06:57, and Mammoth Lakes at 06:59! Finally I also notice the entire movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate as reported in yesterdays EQ Blog virtually STARTED right at that point where all those coincidences happened!!! NEXT, came Burma, Honduras, Vanuatu, Philippines, and then Japan at 4.4, 4.2, 4.8, 4.7, and 5.2!!!

As The Pacific Turns!!! More Seismic Action Out There!!!!! WHO Will Shake Next?

And of course by now you probably heard my horse "California Chrome" DID NOT win the Belmont Stakes and as a result did not win the Triple Crown! Not too much else to say about it as you can understand! Not sure when we will ever again be at the magic day when the whole world is watching and hoping to see a horse win the Triple Crown again. . . but it will probably happen someday! Sorry it wasn't this year because it seemed like so far to be a fairly lucky year that just needed a nice Triple Crown to add to it, know what I mean?
The big news in the world of earthquakes right here at this moment as I am writing besides the fact that there was JUST a tiny 1.5 at I notice THE OTHER Westwood. . . so it is not quite as big of news as Westwood on Wilshire Blvd. in Hollywood might have been. Sooooo, the other big news was the series of small earthquakes early on Sunday that posted Santa Susana as the epicenter, here is the felt report from that one and I am guessing the tiny town of Santa Susana itself must be in the Simi Valley zip code of 93063 due to the 31 felt reports that came from there. All good neighbors of mine from my Hollywood days up there along the Reagan Freeway!!!

Finally, all day today I have been tracking this event I'm now calling "As The Pacific Turns" because it looks like all of the 4.7 and 4.9 Richters Earthquakes that struck the last 36 hours appear to be the result of the Pacific Tectonic Plate taking one last good turn of probably like one or two centimeters at the end of all the turning that started with the 8.0 or 8.2 at Chile in April.
What appears to be happening here is starting with Burma, they seem to circle the Pacific onto Honduras, Vanuatu, Philippines, Japan, Argentina, Valpo Chile, Macquarie Island, Fiji, Guam, Greece 4.8?, Japan, Solomon Islands, Argentina, Iquique Chile, and most recently Fiji. At the one point it had ended briefly at Chile just long enough for me to look at the list and attempt to figure out WHERE the next one might strike. . . that was when Fiji struck at 21:09 Sunday Night!!! NOW we will watch closely between early Monday Morning and first Mid-Day, WHICH Place will it be next??? Pretty good series of all 4.7, 4.8, and the biggest being 4.9, although that first Japan was a 5.2, Burma 4.4 and Honduras 4.2 and it actually looks like the list of names went around twice, but it will take more time to fully examine this event to figure out all that and be certain what is going on! Until then we will continue to watch "As The Pacific Tectonic Plate Turns!!!!!" AND I suppose you could say will California be in there somewhere shaking before it's over? 4.2? 4.6? 4.9????? California Chrome To WIN!!!!! New Triple Crown Winner!!!??? ALSO New EQ Podcast!!!!!
It isn't very often one has to consider the chances of a horse winning the Triple Crown. . . but today just so happens to be one such day!!! Yes, there are other occasional days such as today when other horses have gone for it, but they are few and far between. Today it is the name of the game! WILL California Chrome be the next winner of the elusive Triple Crown??? Hasn't been a winner since the year I graduated from High School!!! Been that long:)))

A 5.5 has just struck up at the furthest reaches of Alaska at Noatak right at press time. Well, maybe not the farthest reaches if you are familiar with the region and where all these northerly earthquakes have been striking, then you know it is still somewhat south of Barrow or North Pole, Alaska but still north of Nome and Fairbanks, so it's up there! There are also 4.9 Yemen and 4.5 Peru and there was an Easter Island Earthquake like yesterday, so there does still seem to be some movement of the Pacific, although all that can be left out there is residual tiny aftershocks of all the earthquake action that they had there prior to the expiration of those alerts.
The latest on those swarms also discussed in the EQ Podcast is that both Mammoth Lakes AND Haines, Alaska were both shaking as of noon my time on Friday, and so we are sort of still waiting to see what might happen next. In yesterdays EQ Blog I guessed maybe Frisco, or San Fernando, but in a more recent tweet I also noted that Reno got a small amount of shaking but did not particularly notice too much happening in that region just now checking prior to writing.
So, that is what I will be doing tomorrow is making a trip to one of my area OTB (Off Track Betting) places and probably betting something like "$2 Across" or $2 to Win, $2 to Place (Come in Second), and $2 to Show (Come in Third) on California Chrome!!! Possibly on maybe like one other one, too? Although probably NOT Pablo Von Whatever since I've lost far too much money up to this point thinking a horse named Pablo could ever win! AND. . . also thinking about throwing the inner-tube in either Mirror Lake, or Wisconsin River as well!!! Finally, what Sunny Saturday would not be perfect without having to be at work. . . at 8pm!!!!!
I must extend my Sincere Sympathy to one of my best readers who has suffered a terrible loss in her family such that it will be very difficult to overcome the pain of this loss. Very sorry that all the rest of us can do is offer prayers and condolences along with hope that this family might recover such a tragic loss. Very Sorry!!! EQ Guy

Is San Fernando or San Francisco Bay NEXT Inline For That Swarm?????
You might recall yesterdays EQ Blog when I wrote all about my discovery that the Mammoth Lakes Swarm was apparently connected to the Yellowstone Swarm, well today I just might wish to add to that! The fact that in the hours after I wrote that blog, not to mention the very nice compliment I also received, after writing that there was a whole lot of new shaking at or near Haines Junction, Alaska! As of this writing I have not gone all through the felt reports, but here is the list as of early Thursday: http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/06/52-and-49-near-haines-junction-alaska.html LOOKS like whatever was going on between Mammoth Lakes and Yellowstone. . . is probably also connected to the far reaches of Alaska up there like a hundred miles north of Juneau! This due to the fact that pretty much ALL of whatever was going on at both Mammoth Lakes and Yellowstone does seem to have now migrated to Alaska!!! NOW, as far as what all that earthquake energy is or where it might have come from, I did some additional checking in order to give you all a full report here and now with all the answers to that question! First off, any thought of any connection at all to the two biggest alerts that have been effective recently can now be forgotten! Especially since it is looking like Alaska might be affected, I have to announce the Alaska alert, as well at Tijuana and San Fernando Valley should all be considered to be expired as of June 1, 2014 with the dates of expiration written on the paper copies in front of me being May 22, and June 1, 2014 respectively. No, that certainly won't always mean the end of all the shaking, but it virtually always does. In this case we are still looking at a lot of shaking that might be related to the Beaufort County Tornado, Mayflower Missouri Tornado, Hurricane Amanda at Clarion Island, or Tropical Storm Boris at Mexico. My guess would be the EF-2 Tornado that I have penciled in there in between all of that, but Boris could have something to do with all of it just as easily. Until we have a real accurate method of "Fingerprinting" each of these huge windstorms individually, we may never be able to accurately say this ground shaking is from that windstorm. . . or this ground shaking is from some other windstorm. We'd need an exact "Voice-Recognition" program to detect the slightest differences from one to the other and then we could go from there. For now you might like to just take my word for it.
My final thought on the subject today is the fact that as the Haines Junction, Alaska swarm wound down, and the jury might still be out on whether it was a swarm or a 4.9 and 5.2 with a lot of aftershocks? Anyways, in the minutes immediately following the winding down of all the aftershocks or the swarm, there were two notable shakers at San Fernando and San Francisco Bay of 2.0 and 1.9 respectively. Sooooooooo, if my theory does hold true, Tammy, is this series of swarms going to next strike at San Fernando Valley? San Francisco??? If it does be sure and mention you heard it here FIRST!!! 5.7 Strikes Near Juneau, Alaska!!! WATCH For More Earthquakes!!! FOUND a Connection Between Mammoth Lakes and Yellowstone Swarms!!!!!
Not what I might consider the Major Earthquake we are watching for around California, and definitely not any of the earthquake energy that we are the most concerned about that is heading up towards Texas and Oklahoma, but there has just been a 5.7 up around Juneau, Alaska and we are watching a problem brewing with a the Pavlof Volcano up in that region, too! As of this writing I am not exactly sure what the proximity of the volcano from the 5.7 Richters Earthquake exactly is but if we hear any more on this subject in the coming hours I will do a little research into that and have all of that for you in coming blogs. Right now here is the felt report from that earthquake with Juneau now currently at 85 Felt Reports which you could say means a fairly high percentage there. . . or you might even say it probably actually shook Juneau! Up to this point, what I was considering my best story and the one that I might have otherwise led off todays EQ Blog with is the fact that I ran down both of the recent or maybe still current swarms that we have been watching at Mammoth Lakes, and Yellowstone and as I was running all the numbers that you can view at Earthquake Central, I noticed that they were both very long contiguous lists of about every hour or so going all the way back into around May 28, or about last Wednesday as I am writing this. However, they both have NO earthquakes on May 30th??? So, I went on to examine the exact times according to the hour and minute and also discovered that in a lot of ways the two entirely different lists from entirely, supposedly, different locations a thousand miles apart. . . and they almost want to match!!! To see what I am talking about you would have to go to both lists and compare them side-by-side the way I did by going up all through the hours and noticing a lot of similarities, but for now let me just say that this appears to be something "Earth Shaking!!!" And most certainly a whole lot of facts that are extremely important to the exact science and methods of Precision Plate Tectonics that I discuss every day in this here EQ Blog! It appears that for the very first time in even my own research that these two Major Earthquake Events are connected somehow!!! I honestly did not even know that before, MYSELF!!! I can guarantee there will be a lot more information along these lines coming up in future EQ Blogs, but for now let me add that it probably means there are even more such connections between even more similar events and possibly even more than a thousand miles apart, too!
So, I guess my final thought for todays EQ Blog is that the most recent in Alaska/Yellowstone Swarms are 19:02 and 21:22 UTC, although Geysers and Alaska have also had a lot of shaking that according to my brand new theory they would also all be connected, then, I suppose. Therefore we now know for sure there will be more Major Earthquakes due to this new formula probably making it certain that the landfall of Tropical Storm Boris at Mexico is going to shake at Texas or Oklahoma in the coming hours and days! Continue to watch for 5 Richters, but maybe 5.5? California could also shake due to being located along that tectonic plate boundary and we won't know for sure what direction this is all heading until it strikes!!! Be Prepared!!! Swarms, Swarms, Swarms!!! Big California Earthquake Coming??? UPDATE: 3.5 Yellowstone and 5.7 Near Juneau, Alaska!!!
5.7 Juneau struck about 7am Central Time 90 miles Northwest with 60 Felt Reports from Juneau! I will add the 3.5 Yellowstone to the felt report discussed in todays EQ Blog which follows:
As a rule we do tend to get quite a lot of such swarms as are currently happening in Yellowstone, and Mammoth Lakes as well, but as a general rule they also are notorious for coming to precede MAJOR EARTHQUAKES!!! I don't so much know about the potential location of those Yellowstone Swarms. . . but I know for a fact that a swarm at Mammoth Lakes usually up to this point has meant an earthquake at Northern California and Eureka is seeming like the most likely candidate!!!
Here is that SWARM from just the last few days @ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/06/swarm-appearing-at-yellowstone-here-is.html DO NOTE that there had been a few additional earthquakes also in the general area exactly a day earlier, but this swarm distinctly started on May 31. Although a lot of others a few days before might also be considered to be a part of this series, however they are listed under the location name of Old Faithful Geyser with epicenters a mile or so elsewhere. There is also a day in between with NO earthquakes, so I have limited it at that.
We now also have Tropical Storm Boris striking just to the south of where Hurricane Amanda struck last week. The difference being this one is making landfall at Central America striking the Continental Shores directly and Hurricane Amanda mostly struck at Clarion Island albeit with 155 mph winds. What I noticed the most about Tropical Storm Boris was the fact that it will be pushing against a lot of mountains along the shore of Mexico sort of in the same direction as Hurricane Amanda pushed against Clarion Island. Now both could affect Texas and Oklahoma, not to mention New Madrid, Chicago/Illinois, and Iceland. PROBABLY still looking at 5 Richters, there, but now a strong 5. . .but I will have a complete update on all that as Tropical Storm Boris progresses and runs its course.

4.1 Richters Strikes Up At Eureka Area of California!!! WATCH California For More Earthquakes!!!!! Also 2.7 Strikes San Leandro and a 3.7 and 3.8 San Simeon!!!
Early Tuesday a 3.7 and 3.8 Struck Near San Simeon/Paso Robles!!! Moments after the following EQ Blog was complete, a 2.7 Richters Earthquake Shook the San Francisco/Oakland area very near Hayward!!! It's possible there will be more shaking with something major also brewing, read remainder of todays EQ Blog for all that!!! Hayward 23 reports, Berkeley-2, Oakland 32, Daly City-1, and San Leandro near epicenter so far has 176 Felt Reports with likely higher numbers as updates come in!!! UPDATED Felt Report @ http://eqalert.blogspot.com/2014/06/felt-report-from-27-near-hayward.html AND THOSE are all places that felt the earthquake and probably also represent fault lines that are being jostled in all this earthquake energy, too! Some of you might be interested to know that I do believe I heard somewhere that COLORADO is saying they have Sooooooo much water that they don't know what to do with it? They're talking something along the lines of just letting Nebraska have all of it due to them being downstream from them along the Platt River if I have that information correctly? My only question is couldn't California have some of that since it seems like I had heard somewhere that they were in need of water. Not positive on the typography up in that region, but it couldn't be that hard to send it down the Colorado River to the aquaduct, and then to Southern California from there.

Here is the felt report including Hayward, California which indicates not only that somebody very close to the Hayward Fault felt this one, but that the Hayward Fault itself must have got at least a little bit of the shaking and could eventually lead to a big one there!!! Some of you might be interested to know that I do believe I heard somewhere that COLORADO is saying they have Sooooooo much water that they don't know what to do with it? They're talking something along the lines of just letting Nebraska have all of it due to them being downstream from them along the Platt River if I have that information correctly? My only question is couldn't California have some of that since it seems like I had heard somewhere that they were in need of water. Not positive on the typography up in that region, but it couldn't be that hard to send it down the Colorado River to the aquaduct, and then to Southern California from there.
Finally, between 5 and 7pm Central Time I will be doing the "Pledge Rapping" at my local Radio Station I've been working at during our Summer Pledge Drive!!! We are now watching for a possible earthquake around 6.3 or 6.4 for California and they still seem to be getting enough shakers at Mammoth Lakes that there will still be more happening yet!!! 4.2 Richters Earthquake SHAKES Virtually ALL of Los Angeles!!! Keep Watching For HUGE California Earthquake!!! ALSO: L.A. Kings Win!!! Going To Stanley Cup Finals!!!
So much stuff going on, I'm not sure what my regular readers will want to read first! This 4.2 Struck during the final period of the Los Angeles Kings NHL Hockey Playoff Game against the Chicago Blackhawks which was won in overtime by the Kings. Ironic part was that Chicago is also under a big alert for a major earthquake, but the earthquake of the night went to Los Angeles!!! So did the win!!! NOW For that earthquake that struck Westwood Again and had me wondering again if it was the Westwood that is located up in Northern California near Susanville. . . or the Westwood near the campus of UCLA on Wilshire Blvd, in West Los Angeles. I actually did not know what one it was throughout the rest of that hockey game, either! Only knowing it would be the very first thing I would be doing after that game regardless of who won it! Was somewhat surprised to find it struck the Los Angeles area and there had been at least one big aftershock that struck even a lot closer to Santa Monica!!! Keep in mind that there IS an active alert for Southern California to get a 6.3 or 6.4 Richters Earthquake, but for a moment there I actually thought they might be getting it any second! Keep watching because they could still get that one, as well as the fact that there is still one other in the range of 7.1 that could be lingering out there, too, possibly up in the shaky Big Bear City/Landers Region!!!
Noticed there were a LOT of Mammoth Lakes Earthquakes over the last 24 hours or so and must say that it does appear that there were so many I have to note that it is almost a GIVEN that something even more serious yet. . . will be shaking!!! Could be Eureka, could be Reno. . . but experience tells me it WILL BE somewhere, which we will be watching anyways so we should watch just that much more!!! Also, it will probably be the "Bucket of Blood" Saloon next in line for this swarm that is now striking Mammoth Lakes but will probably go around you know! Also watch Geysers since they tend to shake in sympathy with Mammoth Lakes. . . BUT one of these places will also most likely become the epicenter for 6.3 or 6.4 Richters and it is possible I am being conservative there, too! With that 7 also out there be watching and be prepared!!! If Mammoth Lakes continues I will try to run the complete list from that swarm early this week!!!
So, watch California for 7 Richters, and Oklahoma, Texas, New Madrid, Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and Iceland for 5 Richters and Be Prepared!!! Thank-You For Reading!!! EQ Guy
