Earthquake Strikes Northern Italy!!! 5.9 Richters! Damage Reported!!!
Just noticed the USGS now has this evenings Italy Earthquake listed as 6.0 Richters. Here is a story about it:

There are also currently two major windstorms that could develop. Late tonight I saw Tropical Storm Alberto just off the coast at Charleston and almost exactly where Hurricane Hugo made landfall days before the World Series Quake of 1989. While Alberto is still a smallish unorganized entity, I suppose over time something could develop there. Of course for right now those high winds could be causing more earthquakes. If and when Alberto makes landfall, I will update this blog with a better idea about what is going on! There is some earthquake energy out there! Be prepared! EQ Guy
