May 2016 New Moon Window Will End Monday!!! 5.9 Strikes Just South of Mexico City!!! And a Couple Small Swarms, Too!!!

Hello, The May 2016 New Moon window must have been this weekend because just as I was putting the tools away after cutting a stump out of moms backyard on Mother's Day, I noticed that "Fingernail Moon" just setting on the horizon and so upon checking found the New Moon was early Sunday Morning and the New Moon Window will actually run all the way to the end of Sunday Night and Early Monday Morning and will be for the most part over by time most of you read this. However. . . you'll also want to note that as I say in this weeks Coachella "Earthquake Minute" there are presently NO Alerts anyways so you could also say the New Moon hardly mattered! Speaking of this weeks Coachella "Earthquake Minute" why don't we take a quick look at it and then see what's been shaking!!! Probably the biggest news in the world of Earthquakes was the 5.9 Mexico Earthquake and it's especially big because there presently isn't too much else going on unless something more major shakes before press time:

There were also these two swarms and I thought this first one in Tennessee just looked a little unusual:

Then a lot of shakers that were a few miles from that last Japan Epicenter, but still seemed notable:

4.7 105km W of Makurazaki, Japan 2016-05-07 04:16:05

5.2 94km W of Makurazaki, Japan 2016-05-07 00:42:18

One way that I use to consider myself fairly accuarate is when I am able to say NO Earthquakes or big alerts are coming and right now is one of those rare moments indeed!!! So you need only remember that earthquakes can still happen at any time, and even though I currently have NO alerts there could be an update as early as Tuesday from reports that there have been some tornadoes and so we'll have to see how big. . . and if this will be our next EQ Alert!!!
