Could become a problem if Mount Hood keeps shaking!!! Here's a Great Story that I found covering the most recent of all Major Eruptions of that BIG Volcano!!! Check out this story from U.S. Geological Survey:

Mount Hood's last major eruption occurred in the 1790's not long before Lewis and Clark's expedition to the Pacific Northwest. In the mid-1800's, local residents reported minor explosive activity, but since that time the volcano has been quiet. Someday, however, Mount Hood will erupt again. What will those eruptions be like and how will they affect us? Scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) are studying the volcano's past eruptive behavior to better anticipate and prepare for future eruptive activity. I had to actually edit out some material today so that I could run that Great USGS Story and so one or two earthquakes that were previously big on Monday will now be covered on like Tuesday due to the fact that it does occasionally look like either Mt. St. Helens or Mt. Hood could erupt soon! Done this enough to know it will be ONE OF THEM!!! And usually makes it down to one in Mexico or Central America as the molten lava continues to flow!!! Watch to see which one it will eventually be and until then there aint too many other alerts. . . but as soon as one comes along you can bet it'll be a BIG VOLCANO!!!
And of course right at press time. . . Mt. St. Helens has now had just a few of the tiniest little earthquakes, but still worth mention here:
