California Dam In Danger With 140,000 Evacuating Near and North of Sacramento!!! 6.5 Richters Earthquake Struck Philippines!!!

I'm going to open today EQ Blog with the latest on the "Oroville Dam" a few miles north of Sacramento with towns such as Yuba City in between and ALL now under evacuation orders! I do not have the exact orders right here at press time and so not sure of all these numbers, might check some of the following two links for up to date info and I'll update this into Monday, too! Here's what I know:

And a great story about the dam. . . story, too@ http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/02/12/oroville-residents-told-to-evacuate-spillway-failure-imminent/

Here's a story about San Fransisquito Dam that failed just north of Los Angeles in the past and was the end of the career of one of the builders there, named Mullholland@ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Francis_Dam

Previously there had been an already huge story about a 6.5 Richters Philippines Earthquake from Friday:

Here's a news story about the Friday 6.5 Richters Philippines Earthquake @ http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/67-magnitude-earthquake-shakes-southern-philippines-45400451

Even this one looked big up there north of San Bernardino:

3.4 - 10km SE of Running Springs, CA
2017-02-10 10:10:32 UTC 34.131°N 117.046°W 9.7 km depth

Nearby Places:
6.2 Miles SE of Running Springs, CA
6.8 Miles NE of Mentone, CA
6.8 Miles N of Yucaipa, CA
9.3 Miles E of Highland, CA
14 Miles East of San Bernardino, CA

Ironically these all happened up more to the Northern California area, but of course there's ALWAYS going to be earthquakes up in that region even with a major dam faliure potentially happening the earthquakes don't know any better than to shake there, so you might have to watch for that, too!!!

1.9 14km E of Angwin, California 2017-02-11 23:45
2.3 14km ESE of Angwin, California 2017-02-11 12:24
3.2 14km E of Angwin, California 2017-02-11 09:00
2.2 14km E of Angwin, California 2017-02-11 07:31

The following series of earthquakes seems to have all struck following the Running Springs Earthquake, although looking at it now I can see how a person might say they may not have been connected, but then again:

2.0 17km SW of Carpinteria, CA 2017-02-10 16:45
2.6 18km SSE of Santa Barbara, CA 2017-02-10 16:42
2.7 16km SSE of Santa Barbara, CA 2017-02-10 16:41

Not sure if there will be too much more shaking out east:

1.8 3km W of Bedford, New Hampshire 2017-02-11 19:59
2.2 1km W of Bedford, New Hampshire 2017-02-11 19:15

All of this here just in at press time and we should probably continue to watch up around Seattle, too:

1.4 6km NNW of Friday Harbor, Washington 2017-02-12 23:23
1.1 8km ENE of Friday Harbor, Washington 2017-02-12 22:13
2.2 8km NNW of Friday Harbor, Washington 2017-02-12 22:13
1.9 10km NNW of Friday Harbor, Washington 2017-02-12 21:50
1.9 10km NNW of Friday Harbor, Washington 2017-02-12 21:50
1.5 7km NNW of Friday Harbor, Washington 2017-02-12 15:24

The latest number of evacuated is now around 180,000 people and I'm not sure what they're saying about Sacramento that looks like they're in the crosshairs of a possible evacuation, too, but then so would be Berkeley and Alameda Island where the Sacramento River flows in to the San Francisco Bay, there!!!

There's always the chance that I want to add because they upped the flow there from 50,000 gallons per second (or would that be cubic feel) of water upped it to 100,000 that could also increase the risk of earthquake, just saying. Actually has nothing to do with the fact that water levels have been reported to be going down and heard they want to lower it to 50 feet below the highest level where it then runs over the "Spillway" and there's reportedly more rain coming for them this week!!! So, God Bless all my friends out there!!! EQ Guy
