The Great Alaska EQ Podcast!!! Correlation With Landers Earthquake Coming on Sunday!!! Full Moon Starting Tuesday! 5.5 Alaska JUST IN!

Starting on June 14, 1992 until June 16, 1992 there was a huge "Tornado Outbreak" with 123 tornadoes that struck a lot of different places including Minnesota, Dakotas, Colorado, and Idaho. Many F-4 and F-5 tornadoes were included as a part of all this. THEN, on Day-14 following all the tornadoes California started to shake and the Landers Earthquake was the main event in all the resulting earthquake energy that most of my regular readers are already aware of! The Landers Earthquake of 7.3 Richters was followed about 3 hours later by the 6.5 Big Bear City Earthquake and the next day by a 5.7 Nevada Earthquake.

I am talking about our smaller series of earthquakes that struck Arkansas and Missouri on April 25, and 27, 2014 with a lot of damage as well. Now I want to say that whatever the amount of damage and enormous winds that took place in the 2014 event and knowing it probably was not as big as the 1992 event. . . we will still be looking at some earthquake energy heading for Landers, Big Bear City, and Nevada in a manner similar to how those earthquakes followed all the June 1992 earthquakes.

Day-14 after the April 25-27 Tornadoes will be May 11. And it will have to run a couple days representing the number of days over which the tornado activity took place. With the Full Moon being 12:19pm May 13 and the Full Moon Window starting Tuesday, May 12, 2014. So, starting immediately there will now be a greatly increased risk of Major Earthquake for Los Angeles, although the actual location of an earthquake would depend on the path on the ground of a tornado and we do not actually have a lot of accurate information along those lines. . . that's something we will need to have in the future in order to effectively do this. For now I am just mostly thinking Los Angeles because it was where the resultant from all the 1992 earthquakes struck.

So, this will also have to be extended into the May 2014 Full Moon Window for early next week in order to watch in case it will end up duplicating the Tornado/Landers Event which it most likely WILL DO. So, be watching for more earthquakes and also continue watching Richmond, New Madrid, and Oklahoma for something major to strike, too!!! And Be Prepared!!! EQ Guy

Now if you have been keeping up with my daily EQ Blog you already knew that I mentioned in yesterdays EQ Blog that the 3.3 at the corner of Florence and Firestone Avenues in South Los Angeles would probably mean the tiny town of Wrightwood, California would be shaking next. . . here is what happened in the hours immediatly following that statement that you can go ahead and figure out the number of minutes and hours in between the two earthquakes, and between when I mentioned it and when it happened!!! Here's the 3 that add up to 4 Richters if that matters, and unless there were more in the series that I missed or were given different town names:

It will take me some time to collect all the information that I have written here up to this point in an effort to try to accurately pinpoint this possible upcoming earthquake, but until then I have located the original Official Prediction that covers the San Fernando Valley and Tijuana @ http://earthquakealert2.blogspot.com/2014/04/official-prediction-for-major.html THERE is a link to the Amendment to that O.P., but it is mostly for the purposes of adding La Habra, and Eureka with mention of Vancouver Island due to knowing a lot of Earthquake Energy was headed up that way. . . prior to the 6.6 Vancouver Island Earthquake. WHEN it next became obvious Anchorage and Alaska was probably next, rather than update either of those, I decided to file a brand new and separate Official Prediction for Anchorage and Alaska, and of course then got all those earthquakes! I want to say that Official Prediction is about run-out, but we will have to let it continue on out of precaution just in case something could still shake up in that Alaska Region, but at this point they are all but a fading memory of what looks to me like it was a very accurate EQ Alert!!! Do keep watching just the same through the end date on that O.P., and it will end with the May 23 date that covers that original alert at the above link. Although the alert for Southern California has now been extended beyond that, I do not believe it will extend Alaska?

So, we will now continue to watch San Fernando, La Habra, Wrightwood, Vegas, and Tijuana for a few more days for more earthquakes and I want everybody reading to understand that there is still more earthquake energy coming behind these three Major Alerts that are now getting closer to expiring. As I said in yesterdays EQ Blog right here, there is still that one Official Prediction for San Fernando and Tijuana which basically intersected the San Fernando Valley. Todays EQ Blog was originally supposed to be about just that!!! The top of my list on todays subjects is to ask if the now upcoming Major Earthquake is for Los Angeles. . . and just this exact moment as I was writing a 3.3 has now just struck at the middle of a small portion of the major metropolis of Los Angeles!!! I just so happened to have worked at the glass plant in this neighborhood and spent many evenings at the El Polo Loco store just about at the epicenter of this one at Slauson and Atlantic Avenues!!! This earthquake would have struck at 10:39pm Pacific Time last night.

In the coming hours and especially the early hours of dawn or sunrise around the Los Angeles Region we should now be watching for all of the Major Earthquake Energy from this recent above O.P. to possibly become a reality!!! Just sayin' there is a lot of earthquake energy out there and the straight line did intersect that region so it could become the epicenter and it is also going to be passing through up around the San Andreas Fault in the coming moments, too! Lancaster, Palmdale, Wrightwood, San Bernardino, La Habra, and Salton Sea Area!!! Maybe Las Vegas, too!!!

SWARM Happening At Puerto Rico! 3.5, 22 Miles NNE of Tehachapi, and a 1.9 Malibu!!! Now Updated

Today we will be talking about the Amendment that I wrote and filed on what a lot of you will know as the other alert that has been going on while we watched Anchorage and Alaska. Yes, Anchorage was not the only alert that we were watching for over the recent period of time as we followed that particular movement of the Pacific, rather there was always that straight line of earthquake energy that was headed across the Pacific on a straight line towards the San Fernando Valley and Tijuana Region! So, along that lines I am now eyeing all the earthquakes that strike California carefully for indications that there is something going on there in an effort to have notice here before the potential biggest ones might strike! Right now as I'm writing that 3.5 up near Tehachapi and the 1.9 at Malibu along with a few others seems to indicate that there IS in fact some earthquake energy around. Here is the felt report from the 3.5 at Bodfish, California just north of Tehachapi:

Although the biggest problem as of this writing seems to be that there is a HUGE amount of shaking going on at Puerto Rico! There is no doubt in my mind that this indicates there is some sort of movement with the tectonic plates especially since I had accurately guessed the movement of the North American Tectonic Plate in early 2010 following the Eureka 2010 Earthquake and it ended up being the Haiti Earthquake at the opposite corner of the plate in that case. . . now the opposite corner from Puerto Rico is San Francisco and Eureka!!! May 8 will be Day 38 and May 10 Day 40 after the landfall of T.C. Hellen at Madagascar and so it has occurred to me that as a precaution let's continue to watch a few additional days like until Day 43 being May 12 or next Monday and something should actually shake Southern California before then because we will also have to let the San Fernando/Tijuana Alert go after that due mostly to it running its mathamatical course at that point. BUT we will still have to watch right up to that date. . . and the full moon will be just a day or so after that date, so. . . . .

LOOKS Like Pacific Tectonic Plate DID Move Exactly As I Said It Might!!!!! WATCH For More at Alaska, Etc.!!!!!

Up to this point we have accurately tracked that movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate and have now been right several times in guessing exactly what direction and when the major movements of that Tectonic Plate are about to happen. First at Chile where they got an 8.2, and then Nicaragua at 6.6, and Mexico at 7.5 Richters shaker there. Finally Vancouver and it occurred to me to write all about all that in todays EQ Blog since we more or less knew Alaska would be next!!! I wrote many times about Anchorage and Alaska while waiting for them to be the next spot along the edge of the Pacific to get a Major Earthquake and am now today thinking along the lines that all the shaking they are now getting might be the sum total of all that is left of that movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate in the series we watched since all the way back in early April of 2014. Of course we will still have to watch Alaska for a while yet in the event there is still something left of all that earthquake energy that led up to the 4.7 late yesterday with over 250 felt reports from Anchorage alone! Trying to figure out if 250 simply just means everybody in Anchorage felt that one!!!

Well, if you have read my EQ Blog often enough then you already knew there was going to be some shaking going on up in Alaska, and there was two more at 4.5 that rang my phone in the middle of the night Sunday Night, too, and am sorry that up to this point I always feel it necessary to point it out myself that I got it right!!! Or appear to have at best! With the possible exception being not certain if it will continue to move in such a manner such as Thailand, Tonga, and Japan have now all gotten more Major Earthquakes in the hours following Alaska which could mean the Pacific is continuing to move. That and the fact that there still are not the precision measuring devices located at points all around the Pacific Tectonic Plate that could right now tell us exactly which way and how far the tectonic plate has moved or is moving. Therefore my work may still be considered to be mere scientific assertions. . . just that they appear to be correct if you don't mind me saying so myself!

Keep watching some other places for more earthquakes now as well due to there still being at least a few good valid alerts out for other places around the world including Richmond, WDC, NY/NJ, New Madrid, Oklahoma, and San Fernando/Tijuana Region. More Earthquakes could still shake at any moment and Anchorage and/or Alaska could still shake as big as 7.9 before this is all over, too!!! AND Thank-You for Reading!!! EQ Guy

4.9 Richters Has Just Struck Very Near Anchorage!!!!! WATCH For Lots More Major Earthquakes At Alaska!!!!! 7.9 Yet???

We've been watching for and will continue watching that area around Anchorage and the Tectonic Plate Boundary between the Pacific Tectonic Plate and the North American Tectonic Plate and will need to continue watching Alaska especially for the coming hours!!! There was also just a 6.0 that struck very near Tokyo with lots of felt reports coming right from Tokyo itself, although the sum total of all the movement at Alaska is now of utmost importance to us as I discuss in this weeks EQ V-Log if you haven't seen it:


In any event it is also very much a possiblity that the movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate will continue on and Japan or Taiwan could be the next region to get the Major Earthquake Energy as big as 8.2 Richters, but also 7.5 downgraded to 7.2 at Mexico, and a 6.1 and 6.6 at Nicaragua. So keep an eye on that region after this business with Alaska winds down which unfortunately could be only after something Major Shakes.

Looks like Anchorage and Alaska is nowhere near finished shaking as the Pacific Tectonic Plate probably is continuing to push in their direction and looks like it will keep pushing on the North American Tectonic Plate until it runs its course!!! Watch that Denali Fault, too!!! So Anchorage, Juneau, Japan and Taiwan for the coming hours, but other towns remain affected by other sources of potential earthquake energy, too, including Richmond, WDC, NY/NJ, New Madrid, Oklahoma, and San Fernando/Tijuana could also shake all through the month of May, so be watching!!! 5.5 Richters Just Struck Up At Northwest Alaska!!!!! LOTS Of Aftershocks! BIG One Coming There, Yet? 7.9? BIGGER???

No surprise if you've been following my EQ Blog and all of my Earthquake writings lately that there was a very early morning 5.5 at Northwest Alaska! Reported to have been felt all over Alaska but here is the felt report that has come in so far, and I will update this as they come in:

So, for now I want to report that the chance seems to still exist that there could be a Major or more major yet, Earthquake of very big size although I have been guessing 7.9 this is major movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate and it is rather difficult to say exactly where the next movement of this tectonic plate might be or how big! I might still guess the Denali Fault but offshore Anchorage could still be very much a possibility and it should be clear there could be a Major Earthquake still out there! This 5.5 and the series that is following could be the result of the Pacific Tectonic Plate pushing north into Alaska and it will probably continue pushing north and just might lead to one HUGE Earthquake at that tectonic plate boundary between the Pacific and North American Tectonic Plates located at Juneau and Anchorage which I think are both situated ON the Pacific Tectonic Plate while this early today series occurred well within the North American Tectonic Plate.

WILL Anchorage or Alaska Shake Before The 2014 Kentucky Derby on Saturday? 7.9 Richters??? AND EQ Podcast: Alaska!!!

Now looking at the final day of the Day-10/Day-11 EQ Alert for Anchorage and Alaska and it occurred to me today that with this particular situation it is possible that after all the other Major Earthquakes that struck along the shores of the Pacific, it's possible that as the Pacific Tectonic Plate shifts north that it may not be circular up there at that top most point at or very near the Danali Fault. Instead it might be pushing north against the North American Tectonic Plate and take longer before it shakes. . . just possibly longer than Day 10, or Day-11. Until the end of Day-11, or May 3 let us continue to watch Anchorage and Alaska for that 7.9 Richters! And I will stay with my guess that it could yet strike BEFORE the 2014 Kentucky Derby on Saturday!!! Here is a Great pic from one of todays races ahead of tomorrows big Derby Day!!!

I will be taking a run to my local race track to place a bet or two on my fave race horse on Satur- day to try my luck!!! I will also be betting this Major Alaska Earthquake will strike before the end of Saturday, May 3, 2014!!! Soooooooooo, just in the event it does not strike before Midnight on Saturday Night, I suppose my time but Alaska Time will count, too, if it doesn't strike remember alert will continue through May 10.

Chile, Nicaragua, Mexico, Vancouver. . . . . Alaska??? SHOULD Be Coming Soon!!!!! Say 7.9 Richters!!! Just In: 4.9 Alaska!!! ADDED: EQ Podcast!!!

Just In as this EQ Blog was literally going to press a 4.9 Struck out in the Alaska Islands 1021 Miles West of Anchorage so keep watching for Major Earthquakes up that way!!!

So, at the top of this line are some cities along the East Coast that should now be watching for earth- quakes in- cluding Wash- ington, DC, Richmond, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. In the wake of this line is Ensenada and Mexicali, Mexico, although L.A. will need to be watching now beyond the end date on the current O.P.

I studied the table today and came up with the final numbers as to exactly WHEN the Anchorage/Alaska Earthquake could strike and matched the Day-10, and Day-11 after 8.2 Chile on which the Nicaragua Earthquakes struck with the most recent earthquake in the Pacific series. Came out at Day-9, of which none of the earthquakes matched up with, as May 1. Further, Day-10 will fall on May 2, 2014 and Day-11 will be here on May 3, 2014.

I have also taken the time to review all of the distances between each of them as well as the magnitudes and came up with the fact that 8.2 was big! The combination of 6.1 and 6.6 at Nicaragua equals a huge amount, and more than just the 6.1 or 6.6 alone and probably boosting the total at that location to something closer to the 8.2 at Chile, although I do not know the mathamatical formula to calculate that one. Finally the 7.5 at Mexico although downgraded to a 7.2 was also big. . . but the fact that it was downgraded leaves me wondering if it wasn't a bigger earthquake and what the exact reason the number was downgraded was. Especially since the Vancouver 6.6 shows the amount of earthquake energy dropping, that is if Mexico was the smaller downgraded number of 7.2 in which case 6.6 Vancouver might not be that much smaller.

This leaves Alaska and with the two combined Nicaragua Earthquakes and the 8.2 at Chile, I've decided we should try to pin the Anchorage or Alaska Earthquake down to about a 7.9 Richters Earthquake. Friday or Saturday will be the final two days that will correlate with the other Major Earthquakes in the Pacific Tectonic Plate series, but I will update in the event that Alaska hasn't yet shaken by this coming Saturday Night at MIDNIGHT!!!!! Coincidentally I will be watching the Kentucky Derby on that date, too, and in addition to betting on the derby. . . I am betting on this Major Alaska Earthquake also shaking probably before the 9th Race at Churchill Downs or The Kentucky Derby!!! If not before the derby on Saturday, then in the hours immediately after the winning horse crosses the finish line at Louisville!!! So, as of this writing it looks like horse #21-Pablo Del Monte at 50-1, just sayin' and as far as that earthquake striking???

Continue to watch Anchorage and Alaska where they should be shaking about any minute, now or the next couple days and also the San Fernando, La Habra, Tijuana Region as well as now the East Coast Cities mentioned above!!! Thank-You for Reading!!! EQ Guy

Updates on Everything!!! PLUS, 2014 "EQ Radio Show" Officially ON For July 7, 2014!!!!!

Here's that update I've been promising! First, of course we know we will be watching Anchorage and Alaska for a few more days and the Official Prediction will run until May 10, 2014 although I do not expect to have to wait that long for the earthquake energy to show up in that region! AND it will probably still be around 8 Richters with the range I've been giving something like 6.6. to 8.9 Richters so probably in that range and hopefully not anywhere near populations up in that area. I also went out ahead of it to check where it would theoretically intersect in the event that it did contact up there and continue on in a straight line and came up with Nepal, Maldives, and Mauritius for places that can also shake far beyond Alaska for whomever will be effected by that alert. Also stumbled across the landfall of Typhoon Karen at Guam in 1962 at CAT-5 that practically leveled the whole entire island and must have been a pretty bad experience out on the small island back in those days. Reason I was there was due to checking for Typhoons that might have preceded the August 1952 Tehachapi Earthquake. . . but more about that later.

Right now the big news is that I have as of now been officially put on the schedule for July 7, 2014 for the 2014 EQ Radio Show for those of you who tuned in last year and listened to my 2013 EQ Radio Show back on Sept. 30 this years show is already in the early stages of writing!!! Not sure if I will have all the live news coverage of past earthquakes or how much of that I will be able to gather between now and then, but also want to ask all of you who have heard about earthquakes HERE FIRST!!! I noticed today that Day 30 after the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Hellen at Madagascar is coming up and want to mention we should still watch around the San Fernando Valley and Tijuana because there could still be some shaking there! Although when all the dust settles we will also be able to say PNG and Solomon Islands must have gotten all the earthquake energy from that one by being situated along the tectonic plate boundary between the Indio/Australian and Pacific Tectonic Plates. . . but since it isn't over yet we need to keep watching!!!

The straight line from pic of a line of tornadoes that crossed just to the north of Little Rock heads directly to Washington, DC and Richmond after crossing directly through the New Madrid Area where Hicksville, Kentucky just shook early Wednesday and continues to Baja California, Mexico where there was once a Major Earthquake headed and since it was not projected to affect Los Angeles I naturally skipped over it instead of submitting it to CEPEC. That was when the now famous 7.2 Easter Sunday Baja California Earthquake struck and shook Southern California, Los Angeles, and San Diego a good one!!!
