7.7 Richters Earthquake Alaska!!! Keep Watching for More Earthquakes!!!

Yes, my phone rang loud at around 3am this morning because I have the text message alert turned up full blast knowing there was a huge earthquake coming! I immediately turned on the computer at 3am to see how bad the 7.7 Richters Earthquake reported 200 miles south of Juneau was. Now 7.5 Richters Adjusted. At the time there was a huge local tsunami alert which as of now at 9am has been canceled. Lots of stuff was reported falling off shelves but no injuries at nearby Craig, Alaska and there are right this moment 270 "Felt Reports" from Juneau, Alaska alone, with many, many reports from up and down that coast all the way to Vancouver and Seattle. Here is story from USA Today@ http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/01/05/quake-alaska-pacific-tsunami/1810677/

So, of course watch that Alaska region for more aftershocks since there have already been a few in the 4 and 5 Range, but I am also worried this huge movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate might shake Japan, and we might especially keep watching Sumatra! Finally, the top of the Indian Ocean Tectonic Plate could continue moving West and strike over around that Mediterranean Arc including Greece, Italy and on to France, Spain, Lisbon, Azores. Add Haiti/Jamaica Region although unrelated more on that later.

California is already next inline for earthquake energy and it is slightly outside of my field to say if the movement that just took place up in Alaska will have an effect on the upcoming small snowfall resultant, but let's be watching California especially close for a 6 or 7 Richters Earthquake, too! Especially Eureka, Paso Robles, and Northridge since they are the famous January/December California Earthquakes of the recent past! And Be Prepared Everybody!!! EQ Guy
