After I wrote in this EQ Blog yesterday all about the potential for a big East Coast Earthquake/Tsunami. . .I couldn't hardly believe seeing Downtown Providence was so struck by a 2.3 Richters Earthquake felt all over Rhode Island and heavily reported in the East Coast media! Point here might have something to do with how close that came to being the 7 Richters Earthquake/Tsunami we already started watching for yesterday, but the fact that I had NOT as yet filed all this with the Prediction Councils!!! There was also that 5.6 Richters 50 miles offshore from Banda Aceh, 4.0 at 9 miles Southwest of Kathmandu, and a 2.4 Offshore Lompoc. Before all this other stuff happened, I was wondering if the California shaking including all the Hayward Fault Shakers, and several Lompoc and Vandenberg Earthquakes, could be resultants from Remnants of Hurricane Delores, but all of that being still rather smallish earthquakes when you consider the seriousness of a potential Earthquake/Tsunami striking East Coast just about anywhere then you understand.
