Timetable is in for upcoming Major Alaska Earthquake and that should strike on Monday May 4th, or Tuesday May 5th if it doesn't strike during upcoming Full Moon Window this weekend. On April 22 the lava at Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano started to fill a lake there and as of this writing was at the rim there and looks like it will be overflowing soon! Along with the unreal amount of Earthquake Energy they are getting there. . . now the earthquakes are up to THREE Magnitude from one and two up to this point. Will 4 and 5 be next, or Major Eruption? Just another one of the things that seem to indicate a Major Earthquake-Tsunami Event is just hours away and probably means tectonic plate movement and not one that will strike Hawaii hopefully. 6.1 Richters Strikes 15 Miles South-Southeast of Ndoi Island, Fiji, IS The Next Big East Coast Earthquake-Tsunami Event On Its Way??? UPDATE: Shaking EAST of San Francisco!!!!!

That is quite a lot of Earthquake Energy, too! Just so happens to be right there around that same area where we are watching for any indication that the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate is CONTINUING to move!!! And right there at Fiji is near Vanuatu, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea where it all started with the 7.7 and Tsunami.

So, as of this writing there is a certain amount of uncertianty as to whether the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate moved North or South in that Kathmandu Earthquake. My original tracking located it up in that region due to my theory being the tectonic plate turned at the southwest corner and pushed north, but a report that came in on Tuesday says it moved SOUTH TEN FEET!!! Along with the fact that it apparently moved South and not North is the fact that they say it still has an additional 40 feet yet to move! All of this agrees with the fact that it was all started by that landfall at Vaunatu of Super Cyclone Pam and that it only generated so much Earthquake Energy and was preceded by the 7.7 at Papua New Guinea; Therefore only CAPABLE of producing in the area of the 7.8 Richters that it did in fact produce at Kathmandu, Nepal on April 25, 2015. Whatever potential stored earthquake energy might still be up in that region is there still waiting for the next big Earthquake Energy producing event to happen. Although this event is probably not over, yet.

Keep Watching around our East Coast for that next big Earthquake-Tsunami Event because the tectonic plates continue to move and the North American Tectonic Plate is NEXT in line for some shaking! That also means San Andreas Fault could be the next one to move TEN FEET! Be Prepared!!! EQ Guy

Exact Moment of Full Moon will be at 8:45pm Pacific Time on Sunday Night with the window running through 8:45pm Pacific Time on Monday Night and by Tuesday Morning it will pass, but a lot of the dangers will continue. It has come to my attention that a lot of you are reading this in the affected areas and I am very sorry for your losses in those regions! I also thought you might like to know exact times for Full Moon in Nepal and New Zealand which will be around 9am Sunday Morning through 9am Tuesday Morning. . . with the exact moment of the Full Moon for your region being around 9am Monday Morning but I will have better updated times as Saturday nears. Noting the actual full moon may not be high in the sky above you at it's highest peak, I want to add that I generally consider the BRIGHTNESS to correlate with the added pull that we will be most concerned with and the Full Moon WILL BE BRIGHT, on Saturday Night!!! New MAJOR ALERT: Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Texas-Oklahoma, And California-West Coast, Too!!! Be Watching For This One, Now!!!!!

Well, the headline more or less tells the story!!! A check of the globe in preparation for todays EQ Blog showed that IF the tectonic plates DO push to the north as a result of Kathmandu, that The United States could be next in line for a Major Earthquake and possible Tsunami such as at our East Coast of the Atlantic! The most recent being a 5.0 on Wednesday as the following list shows with the big 7.8 at the top or most recent and the others "Foreshocks". Kathmandu Earthquake Now Upgraded To a 7.9!!! Then, Downgraded To a 7.8!!! VERY BAD No Matter WHAT Magnitude!!! UPDATE: 6.7 Richters 42 Miles East of Kathmandu!

UPDATE; I should note that the aftershocks are NOT all striking at or near the same original Epicenter and that this particular 6.7 as well as some of the others are striking regions and towns that might have been previously untouched!!! In the case of this 6.7 that struck at 2:09am Central Time it is actually like EAST of Kathmandu while original 7.8 was WEST. There are also many new towns and cities in that region which could now be affected, plus this 6.7 might have only been like 75 miles from Mount Everest while that original was probably over a hundred miles west of there. Saturday will now be Day 43 after landfall of Super Cyclone Pam at Vanuatu! With all the action currently going on out at New Zealand, it surely looks like we might need to be watching all the way through the natural end of this alert or possibly even into next weekends New Moon Window which just so happen to fall on Day 50 and 51. . . not really all that far out of the way for as Massive of a potential earthquake as it appears we may be now looking at!!! Hurricane Bret-Hector Mine Earthquake of 1999 is one Great example of that and Great Sumatra is a Great example of one that struck DURING the Full or New Moon, too!!!

Keep Watching New Zealand, too, because it now looks like they started this all out by shaking, shaking, shaking at around the 2 and 3 Richters Range. . . then came 4 Richters and they shook, shook, shook at around the 4 Richters Range, and then 5!!! NOW, this latest earthquake was 6.4 and New Zealand DOES get earthquakes in the 7 Richters Range, too!!! So, is 7 Richters next? What about 8 if they do go to 7? Looks like we better keep watching there because it is possibly NOT the end of the shaking in New Zealand!

Massive Earthquake-Tsunami Event could still happen, too, because New Zealand at best indicates there is still a whole lot of movement of that Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate going on! And Banda Aceh, Sichuan China, and Japan are just a few of the places where the big 8.6 that followed in 2005 could follow again now in 2015!!! And Northern California, then Western Canada. . . probably means that big Alaska Earthquake will follow that movement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate, too!!! Be watching all through this weekend!!! 6.4 New Zealand!!!!! 5.5 Northern California!!! This Could Be a Very Serious Matter So KEEP WATCHING!!!!! MORE Earthquakes Surely Out There!!!!! UPDATE: 6.1 Western Canada Islands!!!

UPDATE: 9am Central Time on Friday there was a 6.1 Richters in between Canadas' Vancouver and Queen Charlotte Islands, AND updating now 6,568 Felt Reports Locally in New Zealand with magnitudes changing between 6.1 and 6.4 there, NOW Todays EQ Blog: 6.3 New Zealand was followed by a 4.3 and 4.1 and was rated at a 5.9 last time I checked on the USGS, who also had the following felt reports:

Obviously the general public in their country turns to whatever local seismology service handles that sort of info and not to our USGS. Again, that number is probably spiraling upward as day passes, too!

Latest on New Zealand is (Updated) 6568 felt reports on their system with upwards of (Updated) 21 even coming from all the way north at Auckland!!! As well as lots of the surrounding communities in that region as well, or you can almost say everybody in New Zealand must have felt the shaking from this one with some fairly graphic descriptions in there, too!!!

I have to point out that we're watching for a Major Earthquake as big as 8 Richters somewhere out there in that Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate Region and New Zealand is very much a part of that region although such movement as NZ just experienced could also mean the final stages of plate moving directly into Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, China or one of those other little out of the way places in that region so BE WATCHING For More serious Massive Major Earthquake-Tsunami Events!!!!! 5.1 New Zealand With 2,900 Felt Reports!!! PLUS: 6.3 Solomon Islands!!!

Although there were so far 2900 Felt Reports for Wednesdays 5.1 Richters New Zealand Earthquake, I found that number on their local "GeoNet" website and a beautiful illustration of the exact locations that all the felt reports came from including at least one from Christchurch. The primary location of the majority of those felt reports seems to have been at Wellington. . . where we have been watching, though! There was also a 4.4, couple of 3.0's and one at 3.2 Richters with many more additional felt reports on that 4.4 and especially around Wellington, again.

In other big news around the globe there is that Huge Volcano in Chile and to take a quote from somewhere, "In this situation, with the eruption column so high, the main risk is that it collapses, falls due to gravity because of its own weight and causes a pyroclastic flow," Gabriel Orozco, a vulcanologist with Chile's geological and mining service, said on local TV. THE STORY Finished by saying: "A pyroclastic flow is a superheated current of gas and rock that can destroy nearly everything in its path and travel at speeds upwards of 200 to 300 kilometers per hour."

Day 40 after landfall of Super Cyclone Pam at Vanuatu was April 22, and Day 43 is coming up on April 25 also final date of recent letter to CEPEC/NEPEC, but can be extended with so much going on you know!!! In the process of organizing "Earthquake Files" found an amazing fact from the year 2005 featuring landfall of Cyclones Meena, Nancy, Olaf, Percy and Rae, around the Pacific Islands Region in February of 2005 followed on March 29, 2005 by the 8.6 Nias Island Earthquake very near the epicenter of the Great 2004 Indonesia Earthquake-Tsunami.

THIS IS about the magnitude we are now still watching and waiting for with New Zealand continuing to be in the cross-hairs!!! Keep Watching because this very serious alert still runs a few more days, yet! EQ Guy

Actually person commented on yesterdays EQ Blog that there had been a series of small earthquakes very near the heart of L.A. at Inglewood and here is that comment: "Several micro quakes in Inglewood this AM. Along Inglewood New Port fault line. Woke me. I believe same fault for 1933 EQ. Took down San Pedro High School." To clarify that San Pedro High School. As of this writing the big news is all of the earthquakes striking around Taiwan and Indonesia. Not a single big event with a tsunami like we've been watching for, but lots of fairly big sized ones that if enough, could bring end to this alert. MANY Earthquakes seem to be striking west of Bakersfield near Taft and something Major could possibly strike there some day. The largest of these so far, the 2.5 was also reported to have been felt in Paso Robles, so there might be something more in the works around that area as earthquakes such as these seem to be continuing:

So, there is actually quite a lot shaking! There was also a 5 that shook near that Macquarie Island location one of the spots I watch when waiting for the Indio/Aust. to make a major move although at 5 might not be that major of an indication still be watching!

3.2 Richters Earthquake 10 Miles West of Paso Robles and Felt in Northridge, California, Too!!! As That Massive Earthquake Creeps Nearer!!! Just In: 6.6 Taiwan!

UPDATE; In addition to the 6.4 at press time mentioned in the headline, there were now two additional 6.1 and 6.2 that struck very near that same Offshore Taiwan Epicenter at around 6:45 and 7am Central Time, about 15 minutes apart as those general times show. MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE-TSUNAMI EVENT COULD BE JUST HOURS AND DAYS AWAY!!!!!

We could be looking at the next biggest Earthquake-Tsunami Event any minute now! Tuesday, April 21 will be Day 39 after the landfall of Super Typhoon Pam and Day 39 was the day after the landfall of Tropical Cyclone Yasi that the Great Japan Earthquake-Tsunami struck.

The April New Moon this weekend could also be a factor. It will cover a couple of the days in between that are probably also correlations with big earthquakes but albeit without names such as when Day 43 arrives and was also the day of the Great Islamabad Earthquake. Since originally writing this entry earlier, I also came up with the names of two more! Landfall of Hurricane Sandy preceded Offshore San Diego by like 42 days, and landfall of Hurricane Bret near Brownsville, Texas preceded the now great Hector Mines/Los Angeles Earthquake by about 42 days, too! Both fall next Friday. . . but all totaled equal one HUGE Major Earthquake is coming!!!

So, there will be a lot going on this weekend and it looks like it might just be a "Pseudo-Scientific Fact" that there probably is a Major Earthquake, or MASSIVE Earthquake-Tsunami Event coming at any moment!!!!! April New Moon Window Starts Around Noon on Friday!!! Should Be A Major Shaker Along With It!!! Be Watching!!! UPDATE: Massive Earthquake Could Be Minutes Away!!!

UPDATE: With all the numbers you are going to be seeing in todays EQ Blog written much earlier, I should add that we are probably only MOMENTS away from the next MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE-TSUNAMI Event and the April New Moon could become a factor, but the really big days will run through this week as well. NOW Todays EQ Blog

1:59pm Central Time, 11:59am Pacific Time on Friday will be the exact moment when the April New Moon Window will begin. The exact moment of the New Moon itself will be around noon Pacific Time on Saturday and the window will run through the day on Sunday.

April 15, I noticed, was Day 33 after the landfall of Super Cyclone Pam at Vanuatu and there will still be a few more days that we will have to watch. Most notably now will be this weekend when Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be Day 35, Day 36, and Day 37, but even if this does not end up being a Giant New Moon Earthquake and Tsunami, then we'll be looking at Day 38 through 43 falling this week! Those are the days of the Great Japan Earthquake and Day 43 after landfall of Hurricane Katrina was the Islamabad Earthquake!!!

Final thing in my notes for today is that it was Day 7 after that Huge Illinois Tornado with some 200 mph winds and 50 miles on the ground now officially one week ago and so I figured time to check out the globe and see where all of this new Earthquake Energy might be headed. We are talking about a line that didn't cross any of the usual places and I do not exactly have one particular BIG name to report at this time. By far most notably Mexico more south towards Mexico City, but the line does by no means intersect that city itself directly. It does come out there near Acapulco and La Paz, but i will have more about that later for now it crosses much of Oklahoma and Texas and into Mexico so everybody along that line does have some Earthquakes headed for them! 3.1 Richters Strikes North of San Fernando Valley Los Angeles!!! AGAIN Felt Everywhere in Los Angeles!!!!! WATCH For Big One!!!!!

3.1 Must have really shook exactly one minute before 11pm Central Time,9 Pacific. Felt reports are pouring in as I am posting this blog! Granada Hills 40, Northridge 14, also felt in Burbank, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Whittier, Long Beach, Fontana, and Bakersfield. Updates will continue to come in through the night and I will try to give some updates at some point in the morn. Until then I mostly notice the ones I listed going up by one and so I'm just leaving them at that for now. UPDATE: Also felt in Oxnard, Glendora, and Chula Vista.

The following list is the others that just came in moments before this posting and I was especially shocked to see Huntington Beach shaking!!! Who knows. . . what region will be shaking next. . . all of Los Angeles and California for that matter should be prepared for MORE Earthquakes!!! No doubt there's more to come!!! These are all in Central Time so subtract two hours for Pacific Time:

BIG List of Earthquakes At New Zealand on Tuesday!!! PLUS: Got My Taxes Done!!! Sending Them In Today!!!

You can probably clearly see the date at the top of the page. . . and it probably says APRIL, 15, so I had to put just about everything else aside for a few hours yesterday and spend some time with my good old fashioned Form-1040 Instruction Booklet that they no longer send to me nor do they have them at any of the local libraries anymore either. No, instead I had to start that procedure off long, long ago by finding the place where one NOW has to go to ORDER such a booklet!!! Wasn't bad enough that they didn't mail me one, didn't have one at any of the libraries, and that I had to order one, but THEN it honestly had to take the full 15 or so days that they said it might take.

It was all worth it on Tuesday because the sun was shining, it was 71 degrees, and I too a bag of potato chips and a bottle of water out to a local county park and got-er-done in about an hour or so! Yes, both my Federals where I now owe 78 Dollars, and my State where unless I messed something up really bad, I have 98 Dollars COMING BACK!!!!! Stay tuned there to find out who's right and if I get to KEEP that "Refund"!!!

3.5 Richters Strikes Just South of Los Angeles With THOUSANDS of Felt Reports!!! 2.5 Struck There Earlier

We are talking about a huge heavily populated neighborhood just a few miles south of Downtown Los Angeles or 8 Miles West Southwest to be exact and as a result of the size of this earthquake there are thousands, and thousands of felt reports coming in as I am writing this!!! 1000's from Los Angeles, with so far 34 Beverly Hills, 50 from Studio City, also reports coming in from Eagle Rock, Pacific Palisades, Chatsworth, Ontario, Palmdale, and Dana Point. There was also a list of felt reports from a 2.5 that struck basically the same neighborhood a few hours earlier with Sylmar even appearing on THAT list.

There could still be a MAJOR EARTHQUAKE coming for that region and so far the biggest ones in the series have only been smaller 6.2 and 6.4 Richters at Chile. . . so we're not really even watching for hardly a 6, but you wouldn't want to be at the epicenter of a 6 Magnitude, either so be watching and be prepared! The latest info on the CAT-4 Tornado at Northern Illinois is that the winds were as high as 200 mph and the track on the ground ran in the area of 50 miles and I've even heard it was like a mile wide, too, with a whole lot of destruction, too! The direct line towards the tectonic plate boundary leads more toward Mexico City, but there is so much going on that this will no doubt contribute to all the shaking currently going on!!! New Zealand Gets MORE Earthquakes, Small New Madrid Earthquake as a Couple Small California Earthquakes

I figured if I post all of this stuff quick today that I'll have more time to write about my Monday Night Radio Show in tomorrows blog, so there was quite a lot of shaking at New Zealand and here are the latest. Notice the most recent one will not officially happen until 11pm tonight New Zealand Time, which probably means it already happened over there you know:

That first one there struck kind of close to Wellington the place the straight line goes through and where we are waiting for the biggest of all these earthquakes to strike in the coming days with the New Moon coming on Saturday this week.

There was also a couple small California Earthquakes that sort of surprised me when I saw Ludlow on the list, here's those two:

Noticed they were also surrounded on the list by many other small earthquakes probably a lot more than usual, too, as far as being carefully watching to try and determine what ones might become foreshocks for something big later.

Finally New Madrid, Missouri turned up on this felt report for a small 2.9 that struck the region around midnight local time, and Central Time the location just a few thousand feet west of the "Welcome To New Madrid" Sign you might have seen in my recent EQ Video Log! Here is the felt report:

4.9 Richters Offshore Northern California!!! Felt Report Is In!!!

Although I did not quite figure out the answer to why there are so many places situated in between the epicenter and cities such as Colfax and Sparks? Does seem like it should also have at least SOME felt reports from the likes of Santa Rosa, Oakland, Hayward, Sevastapol, or Sacremento??? A reader asked me if it had anything to do with the "Plate Tectonics" of the region and I agreed. . . it could be a gap in fault lines up in that Colfax/Sparks/Reno Region that is causing even more shaking than areas situated in between there. 4.8 Richters Just Struck Offshore Ferndale in Northern California!!! Plenty More Where THAT Came From, Keep Watching!!!

In addition to that rather big 4.9 and it should be noted it was originally a huge massive shaking episode of three earthquakes totaled that rang my phone, there was also a notable 5.5 Mid-Indian Ocean about an hour prior, and 4.9 Offshore from Chile where two smaller tectonic plates meet and I immediately thought might mean something. Well, as happens in this here EQ Blog from time to time. . . I was right! Yes, still surprised at the size of this here Offshore Northern California shaker just the same, but you should have been there as I was trying to drive to work in the rain and my phone continuously rang, rang, rang with earthquake after earthquake and ALL THREE in Northern California and listing Ferndale as the nearest city.

As of this writing only a few felt reports have come in although Colfax, California at 449 Miles to the Southeast of that epicenter. . . but just now updating it has now also revealed the name of Sparks, Nevada and 559 Miles from that Ferndale, California Epicenter!!! Sure to be lots more felt reports coming in so I will update later on today probably after work and have to go right now to get a heading there! And driving in the rain, too! Right at the moment I do not have any more big earthquake stories for this blog. I am in the process of crunching the numbers to let you know as soon as I can, how many days to expect between the various shakers especially at California and exactly how many days before we might expect all of this to shake Alaska! 3.5 Richters Strikes West of Reno, Nevada Near Incline Village!!! Keep Watching California,Too!!!

There have so far been 28 aftershocks to the 3.5 Richters Earthquake near Incline Village, Nevada and 78 felt reports from Truckee, California, 29 from Reno, 5 from Incline Village and 1 from Sacramento with a lot of that having to do with the various sizes of them communities the larger having more felt reports of course. There was also a 4.4 at Port Orly, Vanuatu to the north of Port Villa and a sign that this movement of the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate is continuing which of course we all already know from all the other movements going on around the tectonic plates over in that region. Shaking, Shaking, Shaking in New Zealand!!! WATCH For More Earthquakes!!! MAJOR Shaker!?

Too much shaking going on in New Zealand and also too much more possible Major Earthquake Energy coming, too! Looks like all the Earthquake Energy from Landfall of Super Cyclone Pam at Vanuatu is a factor as Day 20 passes, shaking New Zealand and even waking Christchurch in the middle of the night!!! Following is the list from just the last several hours:

It was the year 2011 and the landfall of Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi at Queensland, Australia that led to this next entry into my EQ Blog. Landfall was vary harsh at over 300 Kilometers Per Hour there and a quick check revealed several islands in the wake of the landfall. HUGE San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles Earthquake "Swarm" Struck 2 Hours After Exact Moment of Full Moon!!!

Now to be exact it was more like two hours and 39 minutes when the first one the 2.1 struck, but six minutes later when the 2.8 struck 2 hours, 45 minutes after and finally that biggie. . . the 3.1 of which the following felt report is all about struck 2 hours and 47 minutes after the exact moment of the April 2015 Full Moon!!! One thing I observed is that whenever there is such a swarm like series that usually do immediately follow that exact moment, it is almost predictable that it will start an hour or two after the exact moment with them sometimes even starting before the exact moment and ENDING at the exact moment, and then maybe even an hour before, too, or so as to react at least somewhat to the added pull and continue on until it runs out. Although I did not personally see or hear any reports saying the Full Moon/Eclipse/Blood Moon was also still visible overhead at the time, the time stamp on all of this happening does seem to indicate that these events must have been all happening at once! As I scrolled back through all the Twitter messages from the moment of the earthquake, I did notice they were somewhat mixed up with pictures of the eclipse, but nobody actually mentioned it or tweeted them both at the same time. I think maybe a pic of that Full Moon/Blood Moon might go good right here, not sure where I borrowed this from, Thank-You!!!

The moment it turned to what might usually be a totally dark moon during an eclipse, for what ever reason it's been turning that "Blood" color as you can see in this pic.

Also noticed that if you add them up. . .the Grenada Hills Earthquakes did equal 9.1 Richters although it looks like the numbers might have been changed around a little bit somewhere along the way because right at the moment if you add them up they equal 10!!!

Quite a little Full Moon Event, there if you know what I mean!!! Looks like Sunday was Day 23 after landfall and Day 23 after the landfall of Super Typhoon Nanmadol just so happens to be the day the Great Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami of 2004 struck. . . so keep watching especially to see if Banda Aceh, Sumatra, and Indonesis shakes again, or Sichuan, China, or Japan! California and our West Coast might not be all done shaking, either! And of course the tectonic plate movement we are watching will still eventually hit Alaska!! Be Watching!!! EQ Guy

Exact Moment of April 2015 Full Moon 5:07am Saturday Morning Pacific Time! WATCH For Earthquakes! UPDATE: Lots of Shaking at San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles!!!!!

I've also heard that there will be some kind of an eclipse around that time, but did not get the full details so what I do know for sure is that there will be an exact moment in that range. If you have never heard this story before, I'll repeat it here due to right at the moment not having anything else to write. . . at the same moment as is considered to be exact moment of the full moon is also the exact moment that the complete and entire shadow of the earth can completely cover the moon. Now this is where it will not always be a perfect complete eclipse such as one that will cover the entire moon so that we are able to view it over the entire country or wherever, this probably due to the exact moment occurring when the moon is above some other part of the world or I suppose not a perfect eclipse as seems to be what we are looking at right now.

The April 2015 Full Moon Window will continue to run into Sunday Morning and we should continue to watch through some of the day on Easter Sunday, too! Just a coincidence that there is at least one earthquake with the name "Easter Sunday Earthquake"! Great Story, too! Another coincidence it was another Tropical Cyclone that struck at Fiji and looked very much like the Earthquake Energy from it would miss the United States. . . instead looking more like it would probably be bearing down on our neighbors to the south at Baja California, Mexico so therefore I did not have a specific write-up about it, assuming BC would just shake and have NO effect on California. Well it turned out to be a 7.2 Richters Earthquake with many dead and injured and was considered to be among the biggest earthquakes to shake Southern California in the 18 years since the 1992 Landers Earthquake. In fact in those days I might have even filed an Official Prediction for California that would have covered that easily! The landfall of Tomas in those days was a huge deal, too, and the 7.2 Mexico Earthquake was exactly Day 18 afterwards.

Keep watching especially New Zealand for more from that 7.7 Richters movement early this week as well as up around Nepal and Banda Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia because the full moon could become a factor in some big time Earthquake Energy happening over this Easter Weekend!!! If nothing else shakes sooner me and mom are having ham and potato dumplings for Easter Dinner and watching Badgers game Saturday Night of course I'm neutral and route for both teams! Happy Easter!!! WILL April Full Moon Produce a Major Earthquake? And If So, Where Will It Strike? Full Moon Window Begins at 5:07am Pacific Time on Friday!!!

It seems to be the big question that I'm being asked to answer if not by all my best readers. . . then myself, too! Answer here is that there is not exactly any one certain place where I can simply throw a dart at a dart board and choose as the potential epicenter for any specific Major Earthquake that WILL STRIKE in the coming day or two. Sure, I could select La Habra, Landers, Northridge, or San Jose, Oakland, or Martinez. . . but those are just the places that are very near breaking or shaking, and not so much places where the full moon is that much more likely to have a major affect on the odds of an earthquake during the April 2015 Full Moon Window. And full moons do not necessarily always produce a Major Earthquake either so I decided I probably will not pick on any one single location and just randomly guess Malibu might get an earthquake in the next day or two, no.

In addition to the fact that there was a 6.0 at Fiji late yesterday, there have been several more in that region in just the hours before this EQ Blog including a 5.4, 4.6, 4.7, and 4.9 as well as I saw a 4.5 New Zealand Earthquake at some point in the last several hours before this blog was written so continue to watch as the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate Turns!!! April Full Moon Window Will Start Early on Friday Morning!!!!!! LOTS Will Be Shaking, Swarms, Too!!! So Be Watching and Be Prepared!!! UPDATE: 6.0 Fiji, 3.6 Near Frisco, and 4.0 Near New Madrid!!!

Here's the Update I will discuss later in todays EQ Blog: There was a 6.0 Fiji just after press time with more movement out there! Also a 4.0 came in late and felt all over the New Madrid Region all the way to Louisville and Memphis with nearly 100 felt reports from Blythville. Around 2am Central Time a 3.6 very near Oakland with 150 reports from Oakland, 85 from Hayward, and 30 from San Francisco with Redwood City, San Jose, Watsonville, and Santa Rosa also reporting in. Watch there because full moon starts tonight and there probably will be more there!!! Now Todays EQ Blog:

This EQ Blog will run all the way through the day on Thursday and into Thursday Night barring an update that will then lead this story here, and so I thought it time to announce that the effects of the upcoming April Full Moon could begin actually before my next EQ Blog for Friday is posted. Like maybe late on Thursday Night Central and Pacific Time for some of the earlier things that could start shaking as the result of the full moon and further. . .it always seems to help that one can clearly see the full moon high overhead which it will be on Thursday Night already! That's just one way we can tell the added pull of the full moon is in effect, too! So be watching for all that action to begin late on Thursday Night with the exact moment that the Full Moon Window will begin at 5:07am Pacific Time Friday, so we will give a few extra early hours there and start watching as soon as the full moon is high overhead Thursday Night!!!

Here is the felt report from a 2.6 Richters Earthquake that struck Near San Francisco at San Pablo on Wednesday and since several of the towns that reported it are San Francisco Region, I thought I should include it here now:

There were also 4.9 and 4.6 Richters Earthquakes around Nepal at So we will now be watching for even more earthquakes at Eastern India and Southern China respectively as well as a highly unusual 4.7 that struck 73 Miles East of Bam, Iran and these are all 3 locations that I have even mentioned as being next in line for shaking from that very movement of the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate, too!!! It WILL continue to move and with the full moon it could bust a move big time, too! Also be watching for the usual assortment of swarms to begin at any moment, too, especially up around North of Reno, Mammoth Lakes, Virginia City, and etc. EQ Guy

NOW Super Typhoon Maysak Is About To Strike Luzon, Philippines!!! Winds 170, Gusts 200 Mph!!!

Probably the biggest news today unless something else comes along is the fact that there had been a 5.5 Richters Earthquake that I thought upon looking at it, thought it was out there amidst the "Sandwich Islands" like between the tip of South America and Antarctica! Well, all things passed just like that until at some point in the middle of the night while browsing around in that region. . . I noticed one other earthquake that must have shown up at some point over where I did NOT see any earthquakes before! Well it turned out to be the 5.5 that I had previously listed as being in the middle of the Antarctic, but only instead now it has become this ominous sign that the Indian Ocean/Australian Tectonic Plate has just busted yet ANOTHER move!!! This time the one we have been watching for over at the far lower west corner over by Madagascar and a sure sign that the plate is moving toward Sumatra, China, Nepal, and Japan. There has also since that early morning Tuesday discovery been a 5.8 and 5.9 at Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea for more proof that this is now a large scale movement and surely many more Major Earthquakes will follow!!!

Yes, it is good old "Precision Plate Tectonics" at work or old fashioned "Earth Mechanics" if you'd rather call it whatever you like. Keep watching Luzon, Philippines where Super Typhoon Maysak will be making landfall later this week at the same time as the April Full Moon strikes and there was even already a 4.4 Luzon Earthquake at 11:04pm Central Time just before this EQ Blog was posted and directly in line with the path Super Typhoon Maysak is on!!!

Lots more earthquakes will still be shaking! New Zealand could still get as high as another 7.7 Richters and it could be a direct hit on a populated region there so you might pray for them! All of this will surely reach the northern regions of the Indio/Australian Tectonic Plate, too and China or Japan probably will eventually get earthquakes in the coming days there, too! Finally enough action around the Pacific to keep a watch on California, West Coast, and Alaska!!! EQ Guy
